Blown away with this place!! It's been a VERY long time since I've found anywhere I was super excited about in the actual food (not dessert/drink/coffee spots) but actual food and this place wins that spot for me. Had to drive a little out of the way given I'm in South Jordan so my husband and I were joking how this place better be worth the trek and we were overly pleasantly surprised and very satisfied. Got the beef Tikka Masala and the beef/chicken kabobs, the meat was cooked to sheer perfection and the sauces were legit OUT-OF-THIS WORLD!! I'm definitely ordering extra sauce next time because I could drink the stuff- seriously so so SO good!! The Tikka Masala flavor was perfection - I'm normally hard to impress with curries just given most places are watered down a lot and don't have the texture/consistency of the sauce dialed but this was done so incredibly well. We were truly blown away and now it's been a couple weeks and all I can think about it how I want kabob stop. It's a bit of a drive for those who live south but I'm telling ya'll, super worth the drive. The sad part of my story is that I walked into this place about a decade ago with friends and our young naive selves were distracted by the hole in the wall look/feel of the place and walked out (we were in college and didn't know any better). I've thought about this place ever since once in awhile and always wanted to come back and give it a shot. It took WAY too long for me to come back and what an absolute bummer and loss it was for me to not have tried this place when I found it the first time. Don't be fooled by the very fast casual environment, the food is out of this world and I can't say we have any other Pakistani restaurants this good in the valley. I kinda wish they didn't have all the American food items on the menu-- I wonder who would come to a place like this and order a burger when their Pakastani food is insane good but if you want a burger and fries they have that too but you're missing out if you don't try the kabobs. We were on an adventure to see the difference between Indian and Pakistani food. Friends from Pakistan recommended Kabob Stop. For authentic food. They were so right. Everyone love all of the food. A favorite of all was the Chapli kabob. Wow the flavors are amazing. We also enjoyed the fish masala and the chicken biryani. We ate so fast the pics don't die it Justice. The food was very good. I had the beef chapli marsala and my husband had the goat biryani. We ordered in medium which was a little too spicy for me but not spicy enough for my husband but no worries. My husband thought the hot sauce on the table was delicious and added that extra bit of heat he needed and the mango lassi helped with the heat for me. This was the first time for me eating chapli in marsala sauce so I have nothing to compare it to but I thought it was delicious. The rich tomato based sauce with pomegranate was sweet and tangy. The beef chaplis (ground beef patties) were tender, juicy, and flavorful. My husband's biryani was also very good. I usually don't like goat but this goat was not goaty. It was tender and succulent. Service was very friendly. The only complaint I have is that the place was dusty. There was a thick layer of dust and debris of some kind on our napkin holder and on the huge fan on our table. read more

What's the difference between spelling it kebab and spelling it kabob? Truthfully, I don't know. But what's the difference between kebabs here and kebabs in other places? That, I can tell you about. First off, this is in a mini strip mall location on the north side of 3300 South. If memory serves, it may have been a panaderia at one point, and I *think* it was a panaderia that also had a Korean restaurant inside of it. Regardless, the location is unassuming and the decor and interior are not the main draw. In fact, all of the tables are quite large, and circular, so it's actually a bit awkward. Luckily, I was here with a pal and not someone I wanted to cuddle with... with such large tables, you sit quite far from your dining companions. On to the food, which is the real difference. Whereas other places have a few kebabs, these folks have many, served in lots of formats. The plate. The wrap. I mean, at the end of the day there are only so many meats you can put on a stick, but they mix things up. I had a chicken kebab on a plate, served with rice (but you can opt for fries, if you'd like). It's served not in chicken cubes/chunks, but rather the ground chicken formed around a stick, then the stick removed. Despite that, it feels extremely clean, fresh, and the seasoned rice was the perfect side. The owner (?) was there, was attentive, and very nice. You sit and order, but at the end you bring the check up to the counter to pay. We were in and out pretty quickly, despite the fact that it's tableside service. Unless you want to cuddle up close with your dining companion (and let's be honest, sometimes you do and that's all you can really think about, in which case why are you eating out anyways?), then this is probably a great choice. read more

Both meats were perfectly cooked, but I caution you to be careful with the goat meat, they use goat tibs, and I cut the roof of my mouth on a few of the sharper bones. The mint sauce they brought over was awesome, but the yogurt sauce was overly sweet.
