The building is in bad shape, and you can see they are working on it, but I imagine that, like everyone else, COVID changed things for them, and the improvements are slow or halted. The worst offense is probably the bathroom ceilings, and the fact that those bathrooms aren't heated. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has slipped in some cases too. The pita and toum are still THE BEST I have had around here - hands down. When I order an olive plate, I do typically expect Mediterranean style olives, but this time I got cheap pimento-stuffed Spanish olives. The stuffed grape leaves were lovely, for the most part, great flavor. But the leaves themselves were on the tough side. The fattoush was perfect. The charbroiled deboned chicken was very tender, and the flavor was nice. The grilled vegetables were quite nice. I think our server was new/er. We had to repeat ourselves pretty frequently, and ask for basic things like silverware and napkins. She seemed confused a lot and like she wasn't terribly familiar with the menu. She was, however, friendly and accommodating.

She explained they have been seeing bugs recently due to the warmer weather. But insisted they were butterflies. Ummm NO! We should have just left then, but our food was on the way and we moved tables. (I did see a 3rd one to prompt the move). The food was mediocre at best. Obviously I won't be back, but just wanted to forewarn others of our bad experience. See picture attached.

Be prepared for Sam. He's quite the salesman & very proud of his work & obviously takes pride in it all & for good reason. He did tell me his food was the best & that I would have the best lunch I've ever had. It was my first time there, so I was a little leary because I sometimes have a gallbladder attack if I eat at some restaurants. We baught Swarma sandwiches, Shish tawook sandwiches , home made chips, home made garlic sauce, & home made hummus with home made peta bread. Absolutely the best! There were generous proportions of everything & worth going way out of your way for, even if you're from out of town. It won't be your last time there I promise you. The next morning we had our leftovers for breakfast & the best part was that the food still tasted deliscious & very flavorful even cold, so nice refrigerator raiding food. I would highly recommend this food for any special occasion or just because. Stop by. You won't regret it I promise. Sam & his crew do have bragging rights I must say. I was super impressed & so were my friends & family who ate lunch with me that day. I rarely write a review, but I really like this business.
