A super friendly hole-in-the-wall that serves delicious guilty pleasures with warmth and care. I've said goodbye to friends moving away within these walls, and stop here regularly after Trader Joe's trips on lazy weekends. The falafel gyro sandwich is pretty messy, but soooo good when loaded up with white and hot sauce. It's not as pitch perfect on texture and flavor as Carmel Haifa, but it does have better fries.

Came upon this place while at a basketball tournament and we were in the mood for Gyros! Ample parking and the service and food was awesome. The person at the register was very friendly and accommodating. Food was made to order soooo good and fresh. One of the best Gyros I have had! The cleanliness of this establishment was the best, even the ketchup bottles were super clean!! If in the area you need to stop here.

Got a volcano burger, first bite, I noticed how bad the burger was. Grade D meat at best. I was hungry so I forged ahead, third bite, found something hanging out of the burger, pulled it and it turned out to be a piece of plastic wrap. It would have been a good burger (good bun, toppings were tasty). But the fact that someone was riding this burger at Monmouth racetrack last week makes it 1 star.

I can understand the hype! Kabab Paradise is serving up a seriously tasty chicken gyro. We were expecting to be in and out with our order in a few minutes, but because all food is made to order it takes around 20 minutes. Certainly not a bad thing given how fresh everything is! The sandwich comes on fluffy and hot pita bread. There is a generous amount of flavorful meat topped with veggies and a delicious creamy aioli of sorts. The order comes with an absolutely massive portion fries, crisped to perfection. Pro-tip is grab an order to go and bring it over to Fort Nonsense brewery to enjoy with a pint!

Kabob paradise was not my cup of tea. It reminded me of kabob homelessness... let's just say my kabob had more than a couple hairs in it. They appeared to be growing out of the kabob. The owner also was very rude to me and my husband.... would NOT recommendation

My experience with the Kebab Paradise is always positive! I was craving for their chicken and ordered their salad, which you think, is just a salad, but is not. For my taste they have the best lettuce (butter) choice and the combination of flavors (chicken seasoning + white sauce) makes the salad special. Every time we go there, we order their fries. They are super crunchy! When I order delivery, I usually put 5 min in the Airfryer to be even more delicious. Tonight we also had the baba ganoush which was amazing. You could taste the smoke flavor and they had some slices of garlic on it. If you like baba ganoush, theirs is a must! We had the falafel as well, which was ok, nothing special on that. But overall, everything was super tasty as always. Oh, got to mention the portions are huge too!

First time at this location and was very pleased! The staff here are so nice and helpful and the store was super clean. I've been to the other location a few times and this is smaller than the other location in Lake Hiawatha, but I preferred my experience at this location! I went with a group of friends and I had ordered first and our order came out fast. My friend ordered wings and those took longer, but the workers were sure to notify and update us of the waittime which was helpful. It was only 15 minutes and my friends enjoyed the wings! The group I was with all preferred the galaxy fries here compared to the other location. We got takeout and was pleasant surprised that our food was still hot and delicious. I always love adding white sauce and there is no additional charge for extra sauce. The gyro platter is my go to and for dinner, it's $11 and can feed 2 people which is a GREAT price for dinner!

I got two meals out of mine. I got the gyro platter and it probably was one of the tastiest meals I've had in a long time. I thought the chicken was seasoned and flavorful. But by far, the best part was the white sauce. I would pair it with the mango lassi and it was such a great explosion of flavors - both savory and sweet. I will say they ask whether you're okay with onions and raisins in your platter. I liked them but I know raisins might not be what most people prefer to add to their rice. Service was fast. You can either order at the front table or at your seat. They got the food in a reasonable amount of time. The place looks small from the outside, but when you walk in, there's a back room worth of 30 people worth of seating. It's extremely cozy inside. There's also a parking lot right next to the restaurant and also across the street. The lot right next door is kinda small though, so you might need to loop around. Parking shouldn't be a problem and you can get a really good stop if you're lucky.

The service was friendly, and the food came out extremely quickly. I felt we were being rushed just a tad, but not a huge deal. For appetizers, the falafel ($7?), Mantu ($8?), and bholani cadu ($6?) were ordered. Regarding the falafel, there were five to an order. The falafel was very crispy and had decent flavor. I thought they needed a little more seasoning present. The Mantu were Afghan style dumplings filled with ground beef, onions, and seasonings. It was garnished with homemade mint yogurt and lentil sauce. This was light and soft with tons of flavor. The dumplings were filled appropriately, and the lentil sauce was a pleasant addition. The bholani cadu was a thin fried pastry filled with butternut squash and seasoned with fresh herbs and spices. This was interesting. The wonton was very crispy. The squash filling was sweeter than I thought, but still tasty. I also might add all of the three sauces provided at the tables were good, with the cilantro one being my favorite (cilantro I believe anyway). For my entrée, I had the lamb shank ($38?). It came with a soup, salad, a choice of rice, and naan. The soup appeared to be a lentil soup. It came out hot and was very pleasant. The salad consisted of tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers. It was prepared nicely as all the pieces were small and a good size portion. The simple dressing was great too. The lamb shank came with a few vegetables. The lamb was extremely tender, but not much meat was on the bone. There needed to be a little more seasoning too as it was lacking. I am just glad the lamb was so tender. I went with the Kabuli rice which had steamed carrots and raisins on top. This was fluffy and flavorful with a ton of it. The naan was okay, a little too crispy. I also tried the lamb chops. They had an unreal cook on them and seasoned well. I also tried the zamarud rice, which was good too. For dessert, the rice pudding ($8?) was ordered. It was creamy and filling. The nice crunch from the pistachios on top was a good addition. Will I go back? I would, yes.

The okra was delicious and paired well with the rice. The kabuli palow had raisins and pistachios in the rice that was really delicious and added a nice sweet and savory element. The meats for the kebab combination were all delicious, spiced, and juicy. The waiter also gave us chickpeas which were so flavorful and would definitely recommend! Maybe we've been spoiled by our favorite restaurant back in St. Louis (Afghan Kabob House) but Ariana's was underwhelming. The server was friendly but the food was just ok. Pricey due to the location as expected but also underwhelming taste wise. We got the aushak, mantu, and kadoo bolanee (pumpkin curry with bread). All three surprisingly looked very similar (photos look almost identical as they had the same sauce drizzled with yogurt). The aushak has leeks inside while the mantu has beef. The beef was drier than we were used to and the aushak less flavorful with overpowering onion. The pumpkin was cooked in what looked like the same sauce as well but the baked bread it came with was good. They did offer complimentary chickpeas which were tastier however. Maybe other items on the menu would've been better picks!

This is an update to a prior review. This has been one of our favorite restaurants in the area but…read moreour last visit fell short. We ordered the family platter and a hummus to go. We were told it would take 30-35 minutes, which is fine for cooked to order food. It really wasn't very busy, but the order took 50 minutes. The order was sitting on their counter ready to go, but it appeared they were backed up with making the bread. Once the bread came out, they bagged it up and we were ready to go. They almost forgot to give us the side salad, but they remembered before we left. Now for the food... - The bread that we waited for- was doughy and undercooked. It had burnt pieces stuck to it and they were not shaped as nicely as their usual bread. - The hummus side that we ordered, which was almost $8, was a half filled half pint container (very small amount) of what appeared more like a sauce rather than the thick hummus we are accustomed t. I wouldn't order this again. - The salad was watery...they need to drain the water better - The rice was cold - I think it was sitting out too long - Now for the main event - the meats - we enjoyed the flavor. This saved our dinner, we did enjoy the meats. We called them about the bread and they were apologetic, and told us we can stop by for bread next time we are there. As this is one of my favorite restaurants, I want to give them an opportunity to do better next time! The afghan bread and their rice have alway been my favorite part of their meals! I think it was an off night for them, I'd definitely give them a chance again in the future.
