Sitting on a 50 +…read morefoot high cliff, I had a retaining wall separating from my backyard in desperate need of replacement. Limited access to the property and backyard further complicated the scope and ease of executing this project. My wife and I solicited several inquiries from different contractors, and were only made more aware of the complications and challenges ahead based upon the lack of willingness many demonstrated in taking on this project for us. Finding a contractor willing to navigate the challenges of the property while executing within a realistic timeline and within an affordable price seemed impossible. That was until we spoke with Maggio. Artie was confident from day one that he and his team would be able to create an attainable resolution. Artie and his team came up with several approaches we could take on executing the retaining wall replacement, provided us a reasonable price, and then met every benchmark set during our project planning and execution. While on site, Maggio's team was efficient and effective proceeding with care and safety but working at a pace that exceeded our expectations. The completed work is gorgeous and far exceeded our expectations for what our backyard would look like. It's already been such a tremendous relief to have our backyard secured, rebuilt, and drained correctly to avoid erosion damage like we experienced with the previous retaining wall. Through the entire process, we felt like Maggio was working with us to succeed on this project and continually exceeded our expectations. I messaged to him that I'd like to run through the changes with him to make sure he understood the changes before I sent the $500. I never heard from him again. Then I asked him by email to at least send my my CAD files for my job so I could get another engineer to finish the job. Nothing back. Ghosted. I had to start from scratch with a new engineer.

After 3 weeks of trying to get ahold of him he finally got my plans together. Went to pick them up and noticed he put the doors and windows for the garage on the wrong side which was clearly stated in our email we had going back and forth. He said he would revise them and send me a pdf copy of the plans tomorrow. After a few days with no plans or a pdf I had to scan my plans in and create my own pdf so I could get additional quotes for concrete work. I was able to submit those plans to the town for my permit. After a few weeks I started calling and emailing him and he finally sent the plans to me after a few days with of attempts to get ahold of mark. Two months later I had my concrete poured and noticed the bulk head access to the basement seemed very steep. After looking of the plans I realized what the problem was. Mark drew the stair way to scaled at 6' but his dimension line showed 8' max or 8'11 max in sandy or gravel soil. So my concrete guy poured the wall to 8'. Well 8' would never work because you would have stairs that would go past the basement wall about 18" or have to step down 18" to the first step. Mark said he has never had this issue before and had no solution. So to keep the stairs to code and put a door in the opening I had to cut 16" off the top of concrete wall for my bulk head as seen in the pictures. I would never recommend mark to anyone. He is very un professional and does not get back to his clients. Wish I read the reviews on him before I decided to use his services, looks like I'm not the only one with these problems.

The apartments are big and very sound proof which is great! They are dog friendly and have a strict "clean up after your dog" policy which I respect. There is a lot of parking in the front and back of the building and is walkable to many different food and shopping spots. The one downfall is that the apartment building does not have many amenities. Other than that, I am very happy with my experience at Liberty Pointe over the past 4 years!

The whole yard is so inviting and relaxing. They had finished all the new sod and mulch and everything looked perfect when a storm came through and a tree fell right in the middle of the yard 2 days before the big party I had planned. Geff took care of everything and had the tree removed and cleaned up in plenty of time. I really appreciated Redbud's attention to detail, I have enough going on with my job and kids and it was nice that I didn't have to worry about anything on this project. I will be using Redbud again next year for a stone patio at my lake house.
