He has a great way of telling you what you are doing is wrong, without making you feel dumb or embarrassed. He came to our house, showed us what his dogs can do, then worked with us on our new Border Collie puppy. Donnie doesn't read from a script like the big box store trainers do. He goes over the basics, then if an issue arises he stops and works with it right there. He has a great balance between firmness with the dog and fun. My puppy didn't get away with bad behavior, but he wasn't crying and hating it either. Through the whole session we picked his brain about questions and he had a solid answer for every one on how to fix. If you want a dog that will heel at your side, dance, roll over and do every trick in the book. Donnie can help you. If you just want a dog that doesn't bark or pull on the leash. Donnie can do that too. His prices depend on what you want and thats how it should be.

As I write this review mine has been in a Vet Clinic continuously since December 20. The cost of rehabilitation has reached thousands of dollars. Donnie has not offered to pay any part of my bills. We've been using Good Paws exclusively for many years. They have always managed to find room for our two Yorkies, even on short notice. Our dogs are always clean and happy to see us when we return. They do not seem stressed. One great thing Good Paws does is give us a discount for the second dog when they are kept together. We just had a great example of the service provided, as we had to board our dogs at the last minute due to a family member dying of cancer halfway across the country. They got us in for what we thought would be a one week stay, but they we able to let us stretch that to fifteen days when the funeral was delayed. We never worry about the care and attention our dogs will receive. They are a bit outside of town, but conveniently located to the airport when you are flying. We would rather change our own travel plans, than to use another boarder for our dogs.

Losing control of this breed would certainly lead to failure on all levels. I met with Richard and he knew exactly what my dog needed from day 1. We had several training sessions with him and the changes my dog went through were absolutely amazing. After the first session, we were already able to do things with her I thought would take weeks to accomplish. Still, 5 years later, I get so many compliments on her behavior, demeanor, and obedience, i could never thank him enough.
