The chair seemed to be good quality and it arrived overnight as paid. My dog was unable to use due to not being strong enough with front legs to make it work. We only strapped it on him twice and he never made it move so we were going to send back within the 15 days for a 70% partial refund. The price was $589 before taxes and $125 overnight fee so it wasn't cheap and now had zero use. But mailed it back which I had to pay to return mail and when K9carts received it they said it was damaged and returned to UPS. I got the call from UPS and they said they didn't see any damage to box and I asked her to open and she said she could tell it had been opened but no damage to any parts. She was able to take photos to verify. So no refund from K9carts but thankfully I bought mail insurance. So I don't know if K9carts is scamming UPS since they knew it was insured or just scamming me by saying it was damaged. Either way they are unethical and would not do business with them again or recommend. read more

We placed an order over the phone with helpful, knowledgeable staff members for our APBT Hanzo, then drove to Whidbey Island to have a custom fitting. Barbara and the others were informative and so friendly. They're available online and through a helpful chat on their website for questions, and they assured us they will ship replacement parts or talk us through adjustments if we need to make them and can't make the drive. Their prices seem competitive with other companies that offer wheeled carts for disabled pets. Unlike some other reviews, Hanzo was not fond of the cart at first--recently, in the last two weeks before we got the cart, he taught himself to hop so he didn't have to put weight on his left hind leg. When we put him in the cart, this hopping habit caused the wheels to rock, which made him feel unstable and frightened. On his third day, he was frustrated that the kids were leaving him behind as they played in the snow, and he tried to catch up so hard he forgot to hop. He immediately realized his weight was held by the cart, and after that, he didn't want to stop. I haven't seen him run in months, let alone zooming across slippery packed snow! His cart is so light he can pull it over a curb and even across debris in the woods. His life has been completely changed by this device--i'm just as excited as he is! read more

It is a good product but there were customer service issues from the start. I had a hard time fitting my dog for the wheelchair because they had updated the model but the customer service representative was unaware of it and tried to give me instructions over the phone for the wrong model. More recently, I ordered replacement parts. They did not include the wrench necessary to make the repair and they did not send instructions. Additionally the parts were not readily available in a store so I was stuck dealing with them again. read more

Ordered a Help Em Up harness for my lab after calling customer service and providing measurements and weight. Harness arrived and I attempted to strap it on my dog. Very difficult to make adjustments and the rear portion of the harness was way too long. The rear part of harness could not be adjusted any further without cutting padding. After contacting customer service, they offered no help. the only help offered was to inform me I'd be charged shipping both ways and a restocking fee. I wish I had purchased another brand via Amazon. Stay clear of vendors charging a "restocking fee" for items they are unable to provide correct sizing. read more

Our senior pup became paralyzed earlier this year and no longer had the use of his back legs. We decided to order him a cart in April of this year in hopes of giving him some independent mobility. The ordering process was very simple and the staff that assisted me via chat was extremely helpful. Due covid-19 and reduce staff the production took about two weeks then we received the cart shortly after. Unfortunately by the time we got the cart our pups health had declined significantly, he wasn't strong enough to use the rear wheel cart initially ordered. We ended up making the tough decision to put our pup down because of major health complications and his quality of life. I contacted the folks at K9 carts via email and explained our situation, they made the return process easy end refunded us the majority of our cost immediately. About a week after we got a refund we received a handwritten note signed by all of the employees giving us their condolences for our loss. Those tiny details make all the difference in customer service, and unfortunately arent seen often these days. And while our pup never got the chance to utilize his cart we had put it together and could tell it was very sturdy and well-built. I would highly recommend using K9 carts to anybody on the market for dog mobility wheels. read more

I like supporting independent businesses, but K9Carts is expensive, and they charged full next-day postage on a purchase that was cancelled due misleading information from K9Carts. (Beware of buying "next day" on a Thurs evening - you may get UPS Saturday deliveries, but not necessarily from K9Carts). They sent Friday status email but the email misleadingly said nothing about the item having shipped. Nothing showed up Saturday. Given that a lifting harness had become urgently needed, we bought another brand Sunday and left voice-mail cancelling the supposedly unshipped K9Carts item. Fyi, the brand of lifting harness we bought instead was half the cost, is pictured with photographs that look nearly (though not) identical to K9Carts, and it works very nicely when our large dog needs to get up. One star for both the product price and the customer service. read more

This was a huge waste of money. I gave my dog's measurements but received a very poorly fit wheelchair. It was like a big horse carriage and my dog didn't even want to use it. Just a big piece of junk. They will only refund 70% of your money so think twice before making the same mistake. read more

We said goodbye to the love of our life, Luke Back, two weeks ago today -- our hearts are broken. We miss him so much. He was such a good boy and a happy boy too. On January 17th Luke's back legs stopped working. While determining the cause of the loss of use of his legs, we purchased a Full Support Dog Wheelchair from K9 Carts. We then did an MRI to see what was going on and nothing was determined. Tried water therapy but that did not help. For five months, Luke was in his wheelchair and he loved it because he was still able to take walks. The wheelchair was expertly designed and made with quality material which allowed for ease of use and adaptability. We highly recommend K9 Carts and their products as they were compassionate and professional throughout the purchase, fitting and even after we said goodbye to Luke. We bought a cart from K9 Carts, and it's top quality. Amanda, Krys and Glenn were all super helpful, and they recommend I send in pictures so they can make sure the cart is fitting as it should. I opened the box, and had my dog ready to roll (pun intended) within 10 minutes. After a few minutes of my encouraging, our collie mix started to move. It's not the same as her running through the woods, but at least she is mobile and getting exercise! The cart itself is very well made, and the customer service is the icing on the cake. read more

We went on December 2nd to fix the problems the cart had been having and to have Jack refit. Barbara and her team were wonderful with their knowledge and experrtise. They carefully observed Jack walking around outside several times in the cart and adjusted it each time to different points on his body to assure a proper custom fit. read more

We had a nightmare experience with this company and it took weeks to finally be done with them. The first issue was that we could not even order from the website. There were issues due to, apparently, a new rebuild of the website and it dragged on for us just to order a rental. Then we were told by one of their managers that our cart would not be charged right away...at least not until we received the second part of the cart. They charged us that day, within a couple of hours. They sent out over 14 pieces that needed to be assembled, but the video shows parts of the cart already assembled. In other words, the video did not fully show us how to assemble the cart as they sent us a lot more disassembled parts to deal with. We paid a handyman to assemble it, who does contract work and is skilled at putting things together, and he told us the video was useless and the parts were unnecessarily not put together for the price we had to pay for the cart. Our vet did not recommend this cart as well, so that we had an experienced vet informing us this was not his first rodeo in hearing complaints about this cart. The managers then tried to throw the issues back at us, sending us an email that stated their manager called us "several" times and reached out to us "several" times. This is not true. We had 3 people independently go through the email communications and voicemails received by K9 Carts and there was just a single call and a single email from their manager in regard to the problems we had with the cart. The chat option as well did not work well, as the person on the other line, rather than take our complaint seriously, snipped to us that no other customers had ever had problems assembling the cart. It is not possible for anyone to know whether others experienced problems unless every single person reached out to them after the fact. Seems that, given the problems we had and the poor experience we had with this cart and the employees/managers, of K9 Carts, there most likely are others out there who had similar experiences. This is an extremely expensive company. It does not make sense to pay the enormous amount of money they are charging for rentals...the rental plan is very expensive and we just cut our losses to get out of continuing to have to deal with these folks. read more

I can't say enough good things about K9Carts. From the very first contact with Glenn who answered so many questions to actually meeting Barbara at their Freeland location. Barbara spent so much time with me making sure my dog Buddy's cart fit him just right. He was so excited to be in his cart. He wanted to run right away. I could truly see how happy he was. It brought tears to my eyes to see my boy up and moving again. They gave him his life back. They are so passionate about what they do and also care so much. I would not use. All they want is your money. When you come in to get a fitting for your dog they make it as quick as they can to get you out the door. I have seen dogs flip over in these carts so if you love your dog I would try something else. If I could give less then 1 star I would. read more
