This is my experience with k9 addict dog training. I paid for a 6 week session on January 25th. It was supposed to be 1 hour long session per week. I received the first session on that day. Then it was impossible to have another session scheduled - excuse after excuse from Kara (sinus problems, left phone somewhere, out of town, etc ) I Requested a refund 3 weeks later which Kara agreed to. She stated she would have it in 2 weeks - that didn't happen. Then she stated she would have it in another week - again nothing. At this point I left an HONEST review clearly stating what had happened so Kara felt the need to block communication attempts. I then had to file a complaint with the New York State attorney general's office. They forwarded it to the Binghamton Business Fraud Division. I then finally got a refund on March 25th. Would kara have refunded the money without their involvement? In any case, based on my experience - I would not recommend this business. And by the way Kara, slander is spoken - libel is written. Honest statements are NEITHER. Pardon the pun but you should have left sleeping dogs lie... *update* to respond to a few of Kara's lies below. 1: There were no nasty comments and no threats unless you consider "If we have to taket his to small claims court, it will cost you more" a threat. 2: NO reason to contact amigo you say, well you do list yourself as their director on YOUR website. You blocked facebook, instagram, and stopped responding to calls and texts so YES, I used whatever avenues were available to get my money back. 3: I wouldn't accept electronic payments, I sent you multiple paypal requests did I not? 4: You do not have a signed contract with us, If you remember that hand written receipt you provided was because you forgot your contract forms and we requested at least a hand written receipt to prove we handed you 595 dollars. 5: What you are calling nasty reviews are actually honest accounts of what happened 6: You talk about us thinking about putting the dog down but did not mention that we said fine even though you had blown us off for 3 weeks we'll try again if you can work it into your schedule. You agreed to that and then proceeded to miss the very next appointment without so much as a phone call to let us know. 7: If you do not like bad reviews, I suggest you do not provide bad service - it was really ridiculous and it shouldn't have taken me contacting the New York State attorney general's office to finally get a refund. 8: You claim me stating you blocked communication via facebook is a not true? See photo below For the record and against my better judgement, I did remove the bad reviews I still had access to (can't remove from your social media accounts that you have blocked me on). However after your response at the BBB which I found to be full of mistruths like your comment below - I restored this one and it will stay. read more

Yelp won't let me comment in reply to Scott S who left a 1 star review and the private message I sent to him through his review has not been replied to. I'm not sure what happened here, the last I talked to him he was going to have more time to focus on training soon. I never got a reply when I asked him how training was going, and if he wanted to get together soon. This was after our second lesson, that was in Feb 23. Scott if you see this please feel free to reach out. I have no missed voicemails, texts or emails from you. I don't require a lump sum for training. Kara was extremely helpful with our rescue dog "Dozer". The poor boy had some anxiety and reactive issues due to a not so good early life. Kara came to our house and through her evaluation we learned much about how the human/dog interaction works. We also signed-up for one of Kara's Group Obedience training programs. At the end of our 6 week training, Dozer had progressed so well that he passed the "AKC Canine Good Citizen" test and was awarded his certification (and a blue ribbon).
