I got my Maltese from a very wonderful rescue and he came from a terrible hoarding situation. The rescue did groom him but with so many dogs to clean up, the grooming was bare minimum. And Malteses need to be groomed regularly, or they get so tangled so I made an appointment for him. He was a little bit timid at first and I wasn't sure how he would do at the groomers. But Kathy took him out of my arms and he settled right into her. Dogs know who they can trust. He came out of there looking great and very happy. I wouldn't take him anywhere else.

When the 'owner' saw what a crap job had been done by their junior staff they had to come up with the usual excuse. The dog was NOT matted, and yet when we picked it up they gave the same old excuse about how they had to shave. The haircut they gave was choppy and not refined. The specific characteristics of the dog were totally removed. I suggest you request that Mel herself do the grooming and not one of her inexperienced staff, and especially not on a busy day.
