The kids pool used to have animals painted around the walls and was really bright and cool. The adult pool is a moderate size, good enough to swim a few lengths. It's changed quite a lot now as it has become more corporate but it's still got the same aspects of a leisure centre you would expect. A good pool for the family.

There is a well equipped gym, a range of health classes, a sports hall, small all-weather pitch, cafe and creche. There is plenty going on and it is run by SDC so is linked with the leisure centres in Sevenoaks and Swanley meaning membership can be used in any of the three. They run some great kids activities in the school holidays and also toddler activites every week. Access is great, staff are friendly and there is plenty of parking.

The center offers the expected range of classes from keep-fit to more team based activities. The amenities are good with clean changing areas. There is also a full gym for exercise heads and a decent looking swimming pool. The staff are fairly helpful and identified by branded tee shirts. There is also a canteen that serves a basic range of foods including jacket potatoes and chips, beans and other fried snacks. Being a place of fitness, I find this a little bizarre, but I suppose they serve what the public want. Go figure! There are also glass backed squash courts and you can hire courts for badminton or basketball. All in all a pretty decent sports center for the town, but you will need a car or a bus ride to get there as it is located on the outskirts of Burgess Hill.

They have a large fun pool which has acouple of chutes and than there isa competitive pool. The prices are a little expensive but its all good and clrean. They also have a gym if you wanna join and thay have table tennis , tennis, football and loads of other stuff.

Apparently, they're just finishing phase 1 of a 3 phase refurbishment Our badminton court was in the main hall, which can accommodate 4 courts. The lighting was overhead but not too bad - we only occasionally lost sight of the shuttle. The court surface wasn't slippery and there was no breeze. The main drawback is that the prices here are high compared to nearby leisure centres for badminton. They lose a star for not allowing recovering Armed Forces personnel from nearby rehabilitation centre Headley Court (some of whom have had amputations from war injuries) to use the swimming pool when members of the public complained. Now it's shiny, modern and welcoming. The staff are pleasant and they rent out sports equipment for free! And by sports equipment I mean we got a badminton raquet. What else they're hiding under their counter I'm not sure. There's a huge kids section with an area for parents to sit down and keep an eye on them, whilst also being able to have a cup of tea! Delightful. The spaces upstairs that you can rent for classes or whatever are very bright and airy, with are least one of the rooms having a mirror wall. It's genuinely nice to be there these days.

It seems that this place is always open and offers absolutely anyone an opportunity to get involved in sport and fitness activities. The packages they offer and the expertise they have is vast. The manager and assisstant manager have been there fore almost as long as I have been alive so they know what they are doing. I would discuss the facilties they have but would go on forever so check the website out and get involved.

The flumes were out of action on the day I visited but this didn't ruin it as the wave machine was well worth waiting for. There's a small alcove where the force of the waves really picks up and the kids absolutely love this area. It can get a little dangerous with all the flying bodies so young children shouldn't go into that part unaccompanied. The shallow waters are ideal for very small children and a poolside tea/coffee area is great for viewing all the fun from a distance. An excellent trip for the whole family.

The mother and baby classes are held in the shallow area of the pool. I would not recommend the Mother and Baby classes as I do not feel that the trainers are experiened enough. I had a toddler that was a little scared and did not want to go into the water. However. although the traineer was aware of this she thought it funny to pour a small watering can of water over her head from behind, so it was unexpected. She is now very afraid of the water thankss to this incident. The water is more on the colder side for babies and their sister pool as Cascades which is warmer. On a positive note the are many exercise classes and I can highly recommend the spinning classes.
