I had fun here, but it was dreadfully hot, and I am usually pretty good at withstanding heat. I asked if the AC was broken thinking that maybe it had just broken down that day. Turns out that it has been broken for THREE YEARS. These races are pretty pricey, and they make you pay for an annual membership as well, so it's kind of crazy that they don't have a working AC in Texas. I asked if there were fans, and they literally have one fan. We waited an hour for a ten minute race. It was fun, and I can really see the appeal for teenage boys to flock here, which was the major demographic I saw. One of the employees was really rude when I didn't have my feet in the right place while he was doing the safety check. He could've just told me what to do politely, but he was so disrespectful for no reason. My car wasn't even turned on yet.

A host or "guide" for a party needs to be implemented without a doubt for the price. We had my son's 11th birthday party here this past Saturday and it was chaos. The Good: facility was, clean and the party room was perfect for the crowd of 20 people that we had . The employees working there were all extremely nice and seemed to have a good grasp on how each of their sections were running. The Bad: I didn't really know what to do. Yes, the employees give you the rundown of the schedule saying that a race would start in about 15-20 min; however, wrangling kids into a group when they're running from one end of the bldg. to the other playing in the arcade, pool tables, bathroom, etc. is pretty tiresome on your own, especially when you're just trying to make memories. At a minimum, there should be one person assigned making announcements over the intercom for so-and-so's party to please make sure you've registered and signed in; make your way to the party room for food; make your way to the track for your fitting, for your race, etc. The entire time I was there, I'd have to figure out what to do with the kids in the meantime before a race. A $10 game card lasts about 15 min. I was required to make sure everyone signed in, got a hood, game card and drink ticket. And because I was with my own kids, (one much younger) I was not around waiting for all of the guests to show up and then explain what was next. The 1st race happened and we were expecting the food to be ready by the time we got back to the party room. Nothing there so I had to go ask after we were in the room for about 10 minutes. The food (3 pizzas and chicken tender platter) ended up being served 5 minutes before our 2nd race. Kids were starving and running everywhere and finally all get to the track again. The food was cold by the time we got back & one pizza burned; no plates, napkins, utensils, or dipping sauces were given. Lastly, IT WAS HOT minus the party room. The AC problem was told to me prior to booking nearly a month in advance, but I, and the employee that booked me over the phone figured in that timeframe it would be repaired. A 5-10% off should have absolutely been given. Overall, the kids had fun. The mom did not. If you book a party here, just be prepared in advance for it to be similar to a birthday party at a park.

I had a couple hours before my flight back to NY-- thought maybe we could get a race or two, but unfortunately, the wait was going to be over two hours. So, we opted to just play some games, they didn't have too many options but basketball, air hockey, a few racing games did the trick. One positive was this was my first time playing Foosball, which was fun. I wish they had shorter wait times and more games, however, it was it was fun and helped past the time.

Quick question, do you have military discounts?

Hello, Marcia! Yes, we do! We offer $5 off a single-race package at our location for active-duty military, veterans, police, fire and EMS personnel with valid ID.

    How fast do they go?

It depends. Notice how K-1 Speed's reply states "capable." The employees can and will throttle the speed of your kart remotely. When we were there, an employee jumped into one of our "races." It was obvious to see that his kart's speed was not… Read more

Why do i get a call center when I call instead of the cashier at the location?

If I lived closer I would would be at this joint two or three times a week, and in the best shape of my life. The games are all fast paced and high energy, but does it feel like a workout? Not at all, until you realize when you are so SHWEATY. It's like burst sprints mixed with body weights and maybe some yoga? I just know that I loved it in a way that I haven't loved physical activity since I was in my teens. The staff was all super friendly too. The perfect kind of friendly as well. Polite, informative, but not all fake high energy/chatty like your at a kids camp. It was nothing but good vibes. It was fairly busy when we went, which means we had to cycle through rooms pretty fast, but there are so many rooms! You can always go back for your favorites again later, and some of the ones that "looked" boring were actually the most fun for me. I was practically BEGGING them to give me a membership, but they don't do those... Yet? Loved the variety of room, didn't love the wait time that counted against your total time if you weren't in a room. Not sure how it would be possibly, but having your minutes tick away while you waited for the groups in front of you to finish with a room was irritating. Our family of five did have a boatload of fun though at 8, 11, 14 and 42. Lots of skills levels so it was good to be able to pick a variety of games. Note to anyone with shorter kids - maybe skip the basketball room as our 8 year old took a rebounding ball right to the face because he was the perfect height. Also, sometimes the rooms don't work. We wasted time in one room because it stopped working and we didn't know. It let us do two full rounds with literally nothing happening. They do fix them fairly quickly, but your time is gone already and you don't get it back ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ This would be great on a weekday where I assume the crowds are smaller. Would do again - we all came out sweaty and smiling.

The property reminds me of something that you would see in a movie somewhere in the southwest where people are just trying to hide out and not be found. It has such a cute rustic feel, with a lot of Texas flair. From the minute you arrive, you are given great service, greeted with amazing sense of essential oil, oils and leather with their signature fragrance in the form of a candle or room spray. For just $30 we were able to check in early at 1 o'clock instead of three which was great since I drove in town and had a lunch reservation, this gave us time to get unpacked and rest for a minute before heading over to the restaurant. They have lots of options in the mini bar, whether you are wanting an adult drink or just something cold and fizzy. When we arrived, they did give us a complementary bottle of water as well as a cold beer that I sat out on our little porch and enjoyed as the rain started to come down. I love all of the detail put into these rooms, it is such an amazing property, but I'll be honest there were way more kids than I expected, but it was Easter weekend so I guess a lot of families were traveling. I really wanted to get into the pool, but it was massively crowded. They have an outdoor bar as well as a café on the property that has live music and an enormous fireplace and plenty of big screen TVs to watch sports. Every evening they light up the fire pits and if you want to make s'mores, you can purchase a s'mores kit for just $10. They do not allow smoking in the rooms but allow you to smoke on the little patio outside your door. This has definitely become one of my favorite places to stay in Austin, which is difficult because there are so many amazing places in Austin, but Lone Star has definitely stepped into my top five. The young man that checked us in was great and he comped our valet parking! Truly phenomenal service. I'm looking forward to coming back!

This boutique hotel delivers a resort-inspired experience with an upscale twist and is known for its vintage charm with modern amenities. I arrived on Friday night and check-in was efficient, I had to provide my credit card for incidentals. I was given a choice of beer or bottled water upon check-in. The host directed me to my room location. There were several parking lots on the property and I was able to park close to the building with my room which was convenient. The provided a parking permit for complementary parking. The rooms offer a seamless blend of modern comfort and relaxed luxury and well-designed with a very open floor plan with a farmhouse door separating the restroom from the bedroom area. I was on the third floor. Each room had rocking chairs out front for a relaxing vibe. I especially appreciated how easy it was to step right outside and be in a communal space. it made connecting with others throughout the weekend effortless. One of the highlights was the courtyard area. Whether it was live music, lounging by the pool, or just gathering around in the evenings, the atmosphere felt lively without being overwhelming. It struck a nice balance between fun and laid-back. They had many communal areas set up with fire pits and a nice outdoor communal bar area where we held our silent disco. They also had a great event space where they hosted our group. The Water Trough bar and restaurant provided a breakfast and dinner dining experience. They also had an indoor bar area with live music for entertainment. Only issue was they did run out of food at dinner. The location in the Domain is also a positive. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance, so there was always something to do between retreat activities. If I had to point out a downside, it would be that the social atmosphere can get a bit noisy at times, especially if you're looking for a quiet stay. But for a group event or weekend getaway, it actually adds to the charm. We contributed to the noise with our outdoor kareoke set-up. Overall, Lone Star Court is a great choice if you're looking for something comfortable, stylish, and built for connection. Perfect for group retreats or anyone wanting a more lively, communal hotel experience.

The room was very nice and the hotel is clean. We stayed on a Sunday-Monday in June so we expected some Summer atmosphere at the pool. There was no bartender and ordering drinks to the pool involved scanning a menu and calling it in like room service. Armando then brought it out and was nice enough. Due to that, they were up charging and taxing each drink. So a $16 margarita was $26 due to room service fees etc. There was only one other couple there and we found the pool to be very boring. It's small and a few more people overwhelms the space. After our stay, I reached out because, besides the two drinks we each ordered, there were unrecognized charges to our room in excess. The hotel took care of them and even removed the uncharged room service delivered drinks which was nice. I got a survey and sent some feedback about some loose tiles and the drink/pool experience and I got a nice offer from an Assistant Manager explaining the pool area and offering us to come back. I took him up two weeks later this time on a Saturday and it was much more lively and busy at the pool. Kids, families, couples all mixed together jockeying for seats. This time they had a bartender who did an awesome job with the extreme demand of everyone but no other service but that. A few guys in suits (managers) came out to watch him work but that was it. The room again was immaculate and enjoyed as well as that manager sending a nice cheese plate and prosecco. Upon checking out the next morning I once again had erroneous charges to the room. (I think they charged me for the provided cheese plate etc). Once again I contacted and they removed them. Once again I took a survey and said this hotel needs to get its accounting right as soon as possible. They had fixed some prior survey issues around the pool which is great so hopefully they respond to the double instance of phantom charges again and get it fixed for all guests.
