Unfortunately, it was busier than we anticipated and the only open tables were unshaded. No problem, we went back downstairs and helped ourselves to seats at the bar. Our drinks were well-made and thirst-quenching - it was honestly hard to pick the best among the Japanese Old-Fashioned, Asian Pear Martini and Lychee Martini (confession, I'm not a lychee fan but if I was I'd have two of these). By now we've had most of the items on the menu and have never received a bad meal. My favorite Small Plate is the Spicy Tuna Rice Crisps. Fresh tuna served on Japanese style crisped rice cakes with a hint of spicy mayo. I could eat these every week - and yet, we didn't order them this visit. Instead, we had the Roti Canai, edamame, vegan fresh spring rolls and seared scallops. All were devoured, so good! Among the other menu items, my recommendations are the Green Curry and the Short Rib. The rib in particular is fall-off-the-bone tender and served with a flavorful au jus sauce. I was very impressed by the service (especially compared to that of several other restaurants in the area). Unfortunately, he proceeded to have about a 15 min convo with the two ladies at the table behind us before we decided to go inside and see if we could track down our check. There wasn't anyone at the host stand and the restaurant inside was a ghost town, except for the bar, so we asked the bartender for it.
