This is the worst place I have ever had my nails done They weren't clean at all. The guy dipped my fingers into the shellac powder and didn't even use acetone, they then shifted me in to the pedicure area with my nails not being finished and made me sit with the unfinished nails the whole pedicure time where I was exposed to all sorts of germs . An hour later they were finished but I got a fungus from the unclean conditions. They were not very welcoming people at all even though I tipped extremely well hoping for some friendliness. --SEE PICTURES-- This place is just awful. I've given it two chances over the last two months, and my experience has just gotten progressively worse. The first time I went, I waited almost an hour. I was there getting gel nails with two girlfriends (they got pedicures). Had I not been there with them, I would have left. We arrived about thirty minutes after they had opened so it was not full by any stretch of the imagination. My friends were seen immediately, while I waited as the staff spoke amongst themselves. I understand that not all employees do gel nails, but I sat there watching an employee who did gels work on another customer, finish with her, and I was still left waiting for thirty minutes after that. The nails came out ok. It was rushed, & nothing to write home about. My experienced was soured by the poor customer service but my friends enjoyed themselves so I chalked it up to a bad first impression. Fast forward to a few days ago. I went for gel nails again. This time I was seen immediately. The one star is for the abysmal work. AGAIN, PLEASE SEE PICS!! The technician was more than rough. She left my cuticles bleeding and uneven. The blood stains are semi permanent as she absentmindedly sealed them with the clear gel polish. The white French tips are uneven-I'm pretty sure I could have done better lines than this so-called professional. Now I'm left with sore fingers and nails that any child could have painted on me. HORRIBLE! I was visiting from San Antonio and it made me miss my nail ladies back home! First off I made an appointment for my niece the day before and got there at the time of the appointment and I waited 30 mins before they sat her in a chair. She then sat there for another 5-10mind until someone finally attended her. It honestly seemed like they don't know how to give people wait times or admit when they are full they just kept seating people when they didn't have the workers to do the job... Oh and the cherry on top... while the lady is FINALLY doing my nieces nails her son came up to her and showed her something on the phone he was playing on and she not only stopped what she was doing but she actually stood up walked over to her coworker and showed her the video too!! The wife's owner yelled at me when I asked her if she could fix a part of the nail polish. When she finished she took me to the drying section. I told her if she was going to fix the smuggled nail polish and she yelled in another language and told someone else you deal with her. I've never liked the owner's wife. Had been going here for years always but recently the service has been lacking and today was a truly horrible experience. First the girl, put polish over a cracked toenail, which I wasn't aware of until afterwards, so I asked that they place acrylic over the toenail....apparently too much of a hassle but the owner's wife Hanna, after just wanting to put glue on it, concedes after a while. Next up nails, soak completed, wait is a bit much, so another customer leaves. I finally get in the chair and Hanna jacks up the shape of my nails. I was done after that!! I tell the owner, that the service was horrible and show him how badly his wife messed up my nails. He's upset and asks me to come back later and he'll redo them. I kindly decline even though I was so upset and leave. I will not be returning to K Nails!! Beware! read more

K nails is a good place to go relax. I love the volcano pedicure it melts your rough skin and detoxes you. The staff is great. Always happy.

I went on the recommendation of my aunt, and the lady wanted to first peel off the NexGen nails I had on. I kept telling her no, soak them off. It was starting off badly. The nails were not soaked off like they should have been, but there was no peeling of my nails off. When she did apply the powder to my nails, she filed them so thin that within 3 days they were chipping off. I know that this review date is far from the actual date I went to K Nails, but I am just now getting over my extreme displeasure. I now have to spend another 35$ to get my nails fixed and done the correct way; I usually can go 5-6 weeks between appointments and I have to redo my nails a mere 3 weeks later. read more

Worst nail salon you could ever go to in Laredo, TX. They are EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful. They are always in a rush in finishing their work. I spend $60 for nasty Buffy nails for them to break the next day. They never have new colors. They could never do the nails I want them to do. Did I mention that they are extremely rude? I showed up at 5pm and they close at 6 (it even says online & THEIR DOOR) & they kicked me out and told me they were closed when they LITERALLY had customers in there getting their nails done. I had heard from the lady at Q nails that one owner has K, Q, J, and A nail salons in Laredo. They stand for King, Queen, Jack, and Ace b/c the owners like to play cards. I am giving this salon a 2 star only because my sister gets her nails done here and she hasn't had a bad experience. However, yesterday the owner started an argument with me out of the blue. I was talking to my sister and the woman who was doing her nails. I asked how much tips and sns. She said 45$ and I said never mind I'll do them in New York because my nail lady charges me 32$, and nails with tips 35$. The owner got upset began to fight with about how I was lying because nyc is expensive. Then proceeded to ask me where exactly I live in nyc, proclaiming that it's not true cus New York it's expensive etc etc. I was like ok but not where I go. I live in Brooklyn in a Mexican Chinese neighborhood and there's plenty of nail places that charge less than here. Point is this man got upset raised his voice and kept insisting I was lying. Why is the owner fighting with me firstly? Secondly, why is he calling me a liar? I live in NYC, why would I be lying about where I live and what they charge me to my sister. I was speaking to my sister and not him to begin with. He got upset cus I was not going to get my nails done there and was waves dropping on my conversation. I had a horrible experience. I was thinking about getting my nails done, but after him fighting with me I most definitely did not. Worst service I have ever had!!! I only put a star in order to post this review. I visited this pathetic establishment on Nov. 9, 2018. I had a wedding on Nov. 10th and I decided to get my nails done before I traveled out of town. I had visited K Nails about 2 months prior to this last visit and had an excellent experience and left with a beautiful set of nails. So, I visited again expecting the same experience. I was F***ing mistaken! I am instantly seated and of course I dont know who serviced me because they never give you their names. I asked for dip nails and since I had previously had these nails done I knew what to expect. This nail lady was purely lazy! She began piling on the dip formula over and over to the point that my fingers looked like i had huge mounds on my fingers. This was a red flag because the previous time the nail lady did my nails she took the time to carefully dip the product which left it looking neat. I wait patiently for her to file them down thinking maybe shell surprise me and make them look flatter. While shes on the phone the whole time she moves on to my other hand and I say sorry my nails are too lumpy can you please file them down a little more. She looks annoyed and files again. They were still too lumpy my fingers looked ridiculous. I asked her if she could round out the cuticle so it looked even and she literally said No, I cant do them anymore no! I'll get someone else to do them. I actually felt relieved because i thought someone else would fix them. She moves me to another station with a bowl full of acetone and i quickly realized she wanted me to dip my hands and do it all over again. I was done. She was unapologetic. She seemed offended that i would ask her to fix them. I waited till the formula came off my hands and left. I felt like an idiot for coming to this nail place. I wasted my time but i was not going to waste my money. NEVER AGAIN!!! I hate that they act like they dont understand english if they clearly had to get licensed in Texas. read more
