Each time was the perfect experience. They were "extremely" responsive when our basement filled with water from the leaking thermal expansion tank. Just what you want when your basement has been flooded and you have no water because you had to shut it off to stop the leaking. Every time they have come to the house, all the technicians were pleasant and polite. They have always been extremely diligent and competent in the details of their work. They are professional and neat in the execution of the tasks they have performed. They also cleanup completely, with the work area being returned to the condition it was like before whatever the issue was that brought them in for service. Actually, the work spaces were left in better shape than what they found when they arrived. Their pricing has always been good value for the product and service received. They are the only plumbing company I use. You really need to give them a call if you want quality plumbing services.

He was very professional in explaining his reasoning and options for cost effective repair. I received a repair quote by text within minutes and he made the repair. The cost for parts and labor seemed fair to me. I was also given recommendations on additional repairs and improvements to my system. Rather than detailing each issue (which the company would likely try to excuse, as they did every time I raised concerns), I'm posting pictures so you can judge for yourself. I strongly recommend getting everything in writing--many verbal guarantees I received were completely disregarded. For example, instead of floor units in my kids' bedrooms, I was given ceiling units, one of which is positioned so low it practically touches my son while he sleeps. Now, as I'm finishing my basement, I had a friend who works in HVAC assess the mess Earth Tech left behind. He estimated it would take 3-4 days and cost around $3,000 to fix. He also explained the risks associated with their work: pipes joined in the middle are prone to future leaks, especially when unsupported, as stress on the joints increases the likelihood of failure. With so many joints, locating a leak would be nearly impossible. Shockingly, much of the system is held together with duct tape. While this may last through their warranty period, it's clear the entire system was designed to last just long enough to shift the responsibility of repairs onto the customer.

We'd called several other plumbers and by the time we got return calls from the other plumbers, J G Perry Plumbing and Heating had already dispatched a person to our house who showed up within 15 minutes of our call. The person came to the house, immediately pumped the tank and shut everything off to prevent further damage. We were worried that we couldn't get a replacement water heater for a while since it's not traditionally in stock. J G Perry Plumbing and Heating called us the next morning at 6am to let us know they hadn't forgotten about us and that they got a water heater and would install it that day. The men came to the house at 10am, bringing the new water heater, drapes to protect our finished basement and equipment to install everything. In less than 18 hours, we had a new functioning water heater. We were so thankful to have called them and really appreciated the prompt response and help.

However, they are very expensive and push the boundaries of being honest and fair. We recently had a leak in our main drain pipe in the basement and called Papalia. They charge $99 for a consult, but it can be used towards repairs. They diagnosed the issue and then wrote up a proposal to fix it for $900. It sounded expensive, but we already paid the $99 and didn't want to start over again from scratch so we agreed. The plumber also misled us about how simple the fix actually was. It ended up taking him about 20 minutes to replace a 3-foot section of pipe with PVC. He also "forgot" about the $99 credit deal and tried to charge us $1000 and we had to call him on it before he would agree to honor the agreement. So they fixed the issue, the job seems to have been done well. But we way overpaid and every step of the interaction felt designed to mislead and extract as much money as possible from us. Not going to use them again in the future.
