I love that they agree that single sinks are the only way to go!!! Double sinks are so out of style. Thanks so much Granite Depot. Thanks to Maria, Pedro, Debbie and the entire family. I also want to mention that they have a beautiful granite yard. Make sure you go to the right and walk behind the building or you could miss it. They have granite near the road but also on the other side of the building. I nearly missed it until Maria pointed it out on my first visit.

Update: After posting this review, Depot Granite's management contacted me directly, acknowledged…read morethe fabrication error, and reimbursed me for the full cost I incurred to correct the issue. While I was disappointed with the initial workmanship and the delay in communication, I appreciate that they ultimately stood behind their work and resolved the matter fairly. I waited quite a while before posting this review because I genuinely expected this issue could be resolved directly with the company. During installation, a section of my granite backsplash was cut incorrectly, leaving a large and obvious gap beneath the upper cabinets. The photographs speak for themselves. In some areas of the installation, the stone follows the underside of the cabinets with a relatively consistent reveal. In the affected section, however, the gap becomes substantially larger and noticeably out of alignment with the surrounding installation. The issue was immediately noticeable. Rather than receiving a proposal to replace the improperly cut section or otherwise correct the defect, the gap was filled with caulk. Even after that, the problem remained visible and the finished workmanship was not what I expected from a professional granite installation. After the issue was brought to the company's attention, their installer met with my contractor to review the situation. At no point was I offered a proposal to replace the affected section, correct the defect, or provide any compensation for the additional costs that resulted from the problem. Rather than insisting that the entire backsplash be removed and replaced, my contractor took the initiative to develop an alternative solution that avoided a much larger and more expensive repair. I agreed to that approach because I was trying to be reasonable and minimize the cost and disruption that would otherwise have resulted from the company's mistake. While that solution improved the appearance, it still required additional work and expense on my end and left me with something less than what I originally contracted and paid for. The only reason this did not become a complete tear-out and replacement project was because my contractor was willing to spend additional time finding a workable solution after the company failed to offer one. I have sent multiple emails to Lali, the sales representative assigned to my project, left voicemails, and made phone calls seeking a response regarding the issue. Those emails were ignored. I also requested to speak with a manager and was told I would receive a return call. No call ever came. Additional attempts to contact the company were unsuccessful as well. Weeks have now passed without any meaningful communication regarding how the company intends to address the situation. As an ICU nurse and veteran, I do not take the time involved in repeated calls, emails, appointments, and follow up attempts lightly. I made every reasonable effort to resolve this matter privately before sharing my experience publicly. Mistakes happen. What concerns me is how this issue was handled afterward. An improperly cut piece was installed, a significant visible gap was left behind, no meaningful solution was offered by the company, and repeated attempts to discuss the matter and reach a fair resolution went unanswered. I have included photographs so others can evaluate the workmanship and decide for themselves. If the company chooses to communicate and work toward a fair resolution, I would be willing to update this review. Until then, I believe potential customers should have an accurate picture of my experience.

Just a heads up regarding my short experience with owner Micheal Romano, Fortune Contractors,…read moreLargo, FL who came to my home to do an estimate and within 15 frustrating minutes I had to ask him to leave due to his unprofessionalism, defensiveness, and his attitude becoming aggressive by talking over me or at me to evade answering the simplest of questions. One of my main concerns are the workers who are in my home, whether there are background checks and this is when his whole demeanor changed dancing around the subject. I've worked with many trades in the past, never having this reaction when asked, very telling... He proceeded to tell me that he uses subcontractors not even in house people, doesn't do much work himself but will ck in on the crews which essentially is a project manager, not what I'm looking for and was not forthcoming with when initially asked before coming out. I find these basic questions not warranting such uncomfortable energy shift on his part. He also overly used religious quips during communications, like I'm a god bearing man, have a blessed day, as if it was a tool for marketing or manipulation to not question him or to shut me down. It was perplexing how this conversation turned south on his part quickly needing to ask him to leave only to be told what a "Horrible" person I was, confirming it was the right move. I should have followed my gut in the first place bc it is very hard to find many reviews anywhere despite he said several times he has all 5 star reviews. Unfortunately after he left is when I dug a little deeper finding some not so nice reviews of taking deposits then not coming back, starting jobs then not finishing or taking a long time to come back, that he's a con artist and hires "illegal subcontractors." These aren't my reviews, see for yourself by googling: fortune contracting, largo fl complaints. Obviously I can't say what his work is like but I see so many people on here or hear of contractor issues from friends that you need to follow your gut and even then that's not enough sometimes.

The installer with dark skin was incredibly kind, respectful, and hardworking, and I truly appreciated his professionalism. Unfortunately, the lighter skin installer was extremely unprofessional. He used profanity throughout the entire installation and made several disrespectful comments. At the start, there was a miscommunication about the furniture needing to be broken down and moved from each room. Instead of discussing a solution, he immediately began complaining that it should have already been done and that it wasn't his responsibility. I explained that everyone in my household had taken the day off specifically to help move anything necessary. It wasn't until my spouse stepped in and asked that we work together on a solution that the conversation shifted. Even after a plan was agreed upon, my family and I had to continue listening to him make negative remarks about our home and belongings, including saying we had "shit everywhere" and that he didn't know what to tell the other installer because "everything was a mess." I later learned that this installer is related to someone in management, which may explain the attitude we experienced. Despite this individual's behavior, I was extremely pleased with the overall service and the final result.
