TOTAL SCAM ARTIST!! This contractor uses a person named "Lucy" (as outlined in Art Valletta's…read morereview) and she is a total scammer. As Art says, you give her your money, and suddenly, all communication stops. I took it upon myself to call the registered owner of Golden Touch Contracting, LLC, (Henry Argjendari), and he informed me that he contracts Lucy to do work for him from time to time, but she isn't on the payroll. That's quite unfortunate for him, because she is using his company's Joist Account to provide customers with their receipts in his company's name for their deposits. I found Lucy's add on Facebook Marketplace, and she was super responsive, well reviewed, and actually came out to my home for the initial deposit, and to take measurements. However, after I gave Lucy a check for $810.00 on 10/25/23, and an additional $120.00 to do some touch up work, she has basically ghosted me. She will have you write out the check and Zelle payment to her wife, "Christina Epperson," and that's the last communication you will receive unless you start chasing her. However, before that time, she was Johnny on the spot with responses. I then began chasing her for the design implements on my Murphy Bed, and to make an appointment to do my touch up work. That's when the responses to texts waned, excuses started, as well as a no show. After giving her a chance to make this right for the first 2 weeks in November, and after no attempt at communication was made by her, once I returned from vacation on 11/18/23, I demanded a refund. Now, here we are on 12/21/23, and I am still out of my $930.00. I now realize that this is all part of the scam, so she can go on to the next unsuspecting victim. I have contacted and filed a complaint with the Pinellas County Construction Licensing Board, and I will also be filing a civil suit against Golden Touch Carpentry soon. To make matters even worse, I gave him (Henry) another chance per his request to refund me by his company check, because he was too incompetent to use Zelle, and as I guessed, the check BOUNCED!! Since the check was for $930.00, he is now guilty of a 3Rd Degree Felony according to FSS 832.05. Regardless if Henry was directly or indirectly involved, he communicates with me and Lucy all the time, and he wrote me a refund check, so now he is directly involved. Until the time I receive my refund, I will be posting this review all over social media, and I will also be reporting this experience with the Better Business Bureau, 8 On Your Side, (AKA Better Call Behnken), as well as with 10 Tampa Bay; I will be reporting the check fraud to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Hopefully, this will save anyone else from falling victim to the same scam I did.

The installer with dark skin was incredibly kind, respectful, and hardworking, and I truly appreciated his professionalism. Unfortunately, the lighter skin installer was extremely unprofessional. He used profanity throughout the entire installation and made several disrespectful comments. At the start, there was a miscommunication about the furniture needing to be broken down and moved from each room. Instead of discussing a solution, he immediately began complaining that it should have already been done and that it wasn't his responsibility. I explained that everyone in my household had taken the day off specifically to help move anything necessary. It wasn't until my spouse stepped in and asked that we work together on a solution that the conversation shifted. Even after a plan was agreed upon, my family and I had to continue listening to him make negative remarks about our home and belongings, including saying we had "shit everywhere" and that he didn't know what to tell the other installer because "everything was a mess." I later learned that this installer is related to someone in management, which may explain the attitude we experienced. Despite this individual's behavior, I was extremely pleased with the overall service and the final result.

My wife and I are both "fussy" and thus company's work has been excellent. The work always held up well, we only painted it twice because we were remodeling and needed color changes. I am amazed at people who don't even use his services but slam him on this forum because he is too honest to give a "guesstimate" price over the phone. Anyone with working knowledge of home maintenance knows how many variables there are in the preparation BEFORE the painting which ultimately determines the value of a paint job. And the degree of preparation is what will drastically affect the price.
