I recently had a consultation with Ryan Hix at Tuff Shed design and purchase a new shed, and I could not be happier with the experience. From the first interaction, the professionalism, friendliness, and knowledge displayed were top-notch. Ryan clearly knew their products inside and out, from material quality to available customization features. He provided detailed insights and explanations for every step, ensuring I understood how each choice would impact the final product and its long-term durability. Ryan was an exceptional listener. I had several ideas and design changes in mind, including specific door placements and added height, and they patiently walked me through various options and suggestions without any pressure. The company offered an interactive way to design the shed exactly how I wanted it, which was fantastic. This made me feel comfortable and confident in my final decisions. read more

From the time we purchased to the time we were presented the final completed shed, I have been so impressed with their communication and expertise. Nothing was missed and their crews know what they are doing. I'm a builder by trade and these folks came to my property and built a colossal shed! It's more like a house! Love this company and highly recommend! The crews were all great and very easy to speak with. They did great on communication and the completed work. read more

This is my second Tuff Shed. I had put together what I wanted on their site and the next day Kelvin Mathis called and said he had an even better deal. I had ordered the 8x12 Garden Ranch. They were on their last day of a special and if I wanted to get the Premier Garden Ranch I could get the radiant barrier, steel foundation and one foot higher height AND a 7yr warranty:) Sold! I changed a couple of things and Kelvin made it go right right away in the paperwork. Any questions I had he answered straight away. I can't wait for it to get here! Had the old shed removed (Tuff Shed does offer this service but I had a friend do it for me) and I have to get a tree removed that would be too close and then it will arrive. I love love love that they install it and use such good materials. Thank you Kelvin! read more

This is the second Tuff Shed building I've purchased over the years and I've been completely satisfied both times. This time around I wanted a smaller size shop that would well on my lot. I actually visited the retail location in Clearwater and worked with Ryan Hix. While it helped that I knew exactly what I wanted, Ryan made sure we covered all the details and caught that I wanted to use my rafters for storage, suggesting a loft-style truss that gave me TONNES of storage. The quality and function of the building is top notch just like before and even the pre-painted option came out looking so good we've just decided to paint the house the same colours. When I have questions (like needing the paint code) Ryan has picked up the phone and helped me out every single time. Before buying this building from Tuff Shed I thought I'd shop around to see if any good competitors had hit the market in the 15 years since my last Tuff Shed building. The next building I need I won't even bother doing that. You get your money's worth both in product and service w/ Tuff Shed and that's all I need anymore. read more

Tuff Shed did an amazing job on the small custom shed I had them build for my flood panels. I was constrained on height and width, but they provided the perfect solution. Thanks Ryan and team. Great job! read more

Tuff Shed has a great product, setup, installation. Seamless process!!! Ryan Hix is a great consultant for TuffShed and if end up at his branch he will steer you in the right direction --------------------------------------------------- Update: TuffShed product is great though customer service is absolutely terrible. I am in the process of performing a room addition on my house and am doing a refi cash out loan for addition. Long story short, I have been waiting THREE weeks for Tuff Shed to take get the notice of commencement terminated and get the lean off my house so I can move forward with the room addition. I have sent probably 20 emails back and forth with little to no progress. Many times I have to send 3 or 4 emails to get one response. When I was in the process of buying the shed, I would receive a response instantly... funny once the shed is bought and paid for the response time falls off the face of the earth. Will not be buying or recommending tuff shed to any friends / family. read more

This was a great experience. I was referred by by neighbor. The Rep Ryan Hix was very helpful in designing what I wanted. They referred me to a foundation builder and once that was done we scheduled the shed install. The installers were pros. Highly recommended. read more

UPDATE: they tried overcharging me by $2K. It took me a week to get someone to respond to me and when they did they texted me sorry we will get the fixed and rebill you. Run from this Shed Company!! There are too many options to get stuck with this company. I purchased a $30K shed from them on May 8th. They didn't get even get it to permitting til July!! Then the permit application was full of errors when they charged me $2800 to do the permitting. So it went back into permitting 3 times til errors were fixed. It is now 09/11 and the installation guys just told me that they won't be back for 3 days so there it sits. Then I have the weekend, so won't get final inspection for a week more. I have tried to call and find someone to help at Tuff Shed, and at one point the Sales manager was talking to me, just apologizing, not helping and now he is ghosting me. There isn't anyone to help you once they take your money and lock you into a contract. I said I was going to wait til they were finished to send this because this company will probably delay my finish now. Terrible all around!! Shop your project around to other shed companies. You will regret this one. UPDATE: Shed failed final inspection because they used 6" anchor bolts when plans call for 8" bolts. We are now coming up to 5 months since I hired them to build a shed!!! read more

A great experience as we were new to the Shed building process. Had Greg King lay the foundation. Had Fl Pest pretreat slab for termites. It's a pretty well built shed. Thanks Ryan Hix for your terrific customer service! And thanks to the guys who put it together in a matter of hours! read more

My parents have been wanting a quality shed for a while. They shopped around the major hardware shops and wanted a lot more substantial. Enter Tuff Shed in Clearwater, where Ryan Hix handled the whole process that came with having a shed installed. He was extremely professional and the whole process from selection, to permitting, to installation was a breeze. The installers (from Patterson LLC) were also extremely professional and efficient. A shed was built from the ground up in the backyard in less than 4 hours! I'd recommend Tuff Shed in a heartbeat. read more

Tuff Shed Clearwater - Big thumbs up - Building Supplies Near Me - Clearwater, Florida

I saw the Tuff shed at Home Depot and on the advise of my Father I went directly to the showroom. Ryan Hix assisted me from start to finish making this experience easy and worth driving out to the actual showroom. Scheduling the shed install was easy and the wait time was minimal. The team that came to install the shed were pleasant, friendly, efficient and fast. The install time was faster than expected and I was given instructions on how to care for my new shed. I recommend checking this company out directly instead of going through a third party. read more

Tuff Shed Clearwater - My new shed. - Building Supplies Near Me - Clearwater, Florida

Dissatisfied with the Area Sales Manager, Ken Rechnitzer. We had been corresponding about him going out to review the property where we wanted to install the Tuff Shed. During this correspondence, which was daily, we decided on a time he could come out and take a look. We then found out we needed to get concrete slab poured and work out the financing with Home Depot. During this time I guess their promo ended and when I went in to make the purchase it was now almost 2k higher then the original quote. Mind you, only maybe 7 days has passed at this time. They are refusing to honor the original quote stating, nothing can be done. If you want the business I think you'd honor the quote. I can understand if I came back months later and wanted something honored but were talking a week and we have been in correspondence this entire time. Very unhappy that I know have a concrete slab and no shed to be able to install on it. Poor customer service selection for Tuff Shed and Home Depot! read more

Hands down the best company and team to work with. Ryan and Greg are the best guys and know their stuff. I won't work with anyone else but Ryan and his contractor, Greg. There is no half-assing. They deliver top of the line products and quality, Ryan Always answers even on his days off. He is a leader and knows customer service and it was an absolute pleasure experience. Greg has an eye for details and ensuring every detail is delivered as promised. I will only use Tudd Shed and sales guy Ryan and Greg for my future needs. A+ ! read more

This is the shed company we went with after our bad experience with Florida Shed. Our Tuff She'd is beautiful with Windows and flower boxes. Heavy duty quality. Now I just need one as a she shed! read more

We're very pleased with our new Tuff Shed. It's much better quality than all the other sheds that we looked at and compared. Though slightly more expensive, the additional quality is well worth the additional cost plus it's the only shed that I'm aware of with a 7-year warranty. There's no comparison. We worked with Ryan Hix in their Clearwater office. He was very professional and thorough. Their installer Miguel and his brother, likewise were very professional and did a great job on the installation. We highly recommend them. read more

Don't buy from Tuff Shed! We purchased a $1400 shed from Tuff Shed, Clearwater. Lance was our sales person and was knowledgeable. Installation was scheduled and the shed was installed in less than 3 hours. Five short months later, we have 2 corners sinking into the ground. Tuff Shed isn't standing by their installation. They want to charge me another $150 to come out and fix their installation. I have tried to reach the manager twice over the last 2 weeks - no response. The product is too expensive for poor installation and poor customer support. Go somewhere else. read more

I would not recommend this place to NO one. I order a shed and when they finally assembled it and was put in my Backyard there was nothing but issues. I have called Mike the Assnt Mgr along with staying in contact with my sales rep Ryan Nix and as of Today, the She is still not fully completed. The Corner Rounds have cracks where moister and water will be able to get into and the base by the roof has separation which is WRONG. So I am still waiting for someone to call me and come out to repair these defects. Terrible Company with Terrible Management and terrible follow up read more

After several issues from the installation date, the assistance of my sales rep Ryan, and the warranty team led by Jeff, all issues have been corrected and the shed that I saw and purchased is completed. Excellent experience from showroom through the construction of the shed. By far the highest quality, most reliable shed company in the area. What I liked best is the company rep was in regular communication with me to make sure everything was going as planned and ON SCHEDULE. The on-site construction crew was very experienced and took the time to walk me through the construction process and answered all my questions. An outstanding, 5 star experience. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard and diligently at Tuff Shed on my project! read more

I sure love the new shed. It's without a doubt much better quality than all the other sheds that we shopped around and checked. Of course it's a little more money but well worth the extra. The doors are the best doors you'll ever get in a shed. The other thing I want to mention about this purchase is the professional manner our salesperson Ryan had. He knew the product and was very pleasant to work with. Although the shed is high quality I had one issue with it. And that was the structural 2x4's on the walls didn't line up from a wall to the opposite wall. Makes it hard to add shelving if you want to run a 2x4 from one side to the other. Something the engineers should look at. read more

The ordering of the shed was very straight forward and the sales person Peter George was very helpful. He scheduled the install for the following week. They were 2 hours late and did not call. I called the office and then they called me shortly after. They told me they had trouble with the truck and they worked on the shed and completed it in the afternoon. When they left they forgot their caulking gun on the roof of the shed and did not clean up around the outside of the shed. There were water bottles, building scraps etc. They left globs of white paint on the ground and with the rain it was hard not to track it in the shed. The big rains came and I found out the window was leaking a whole lot! The door handle was loose due to a broken screw and the outside window trim was cut uneven. I called Peter and he scheduled them to come back out the following Friday. They came in the afternoon and Daniel explained the window leaked because this was a new model and needed to be turned sideways and open from left to right not up and down. He told me he found this out the next day after the initial shed install. I wondered why they wouldn't of just called me and come back out to install the window correctly. They reinstalled the window and fixed the door handle and left wet paint again on the side of the shed. I took care of it. Bottom line. I really like the shed now! I did not care for the lack of customer service with scheduling, communication and the quality of the above mentioned work that was performed. I feel it is a good shed now and will last for a long time to come. Thanks. read more
