Vince from Var came in and gave me an estimate and lickety-split they were making an appointment to fix my poor house's problems! Leaky roof is no longer leaking and my kitchen sink drains like a dream. They did a fantastic job on the plaster repair, which included putting up drywall and chairrailing and wainscoting (at least I think that is what it's called. . it's the square boxes made with thin wood pieces). Whatever it is called it looks awesome. The workers involved me in all decisions regarding the details so the final outcome would be exactly what I wanted. My only regret is that I decided to do the painting myself. For the time I spent on painting, I should have just had Var Construction do it for me (silly girl). They were prompt, NEAT, and very nice. I have a little one at home too and they did their best to keep the noise level down. FYI - I just got a flyer that they are now located at 3396 Miller Street (19125)

When we had our home emergency they were able to get out to our house within a couple hours to begin assessing the damage and making the necessary removals of material that needed to go. The guys were very courteous and friendly to me during all of our interaction at my home and they were very efficient at handling our issues. My problem really arose with how the flooring that existed underneath my current Floors was handled. When my current damaged flooring was removed they found an old tile underneath. I was told when they found it that they don't handle that tile as there's no problem with it on the floor. After three days of the fans and heaters and dehumidifiers blowing air all over the place to dry out the floors and walls that tile began to pop. When I asked my representative if they should remove that tile now that it's popping off of the floor, he told me that they don't touch that type of tile because it's an asbestos tile. I was immediately panicked as we had been in the house the entire time the drying fans were blowing possible asbestos dust all over the house. I was able to get my insurance company to get us out of the house immediately and into a hotel while testing was performed on the tile to determine if it was an asbestos tile. There's more to the story but my ultimate problem was with how the situation was handled and that I wasn't told that it was an asbestos tile until three days into the drying process. My fear that broken tile dust had been blowing around the house with my small kids was warranted and thankfully nothing was found in the air during the testing but I'm still disappointed in how I was notified of the problem. In speaking with the manager he was very courteous and friendly with me and told me that that is how they normally handle the tile, I personally would've liked to have known right away so that I could've had the testing done sooner and put my mind and heart at ease.

Austin has been great and worked with us through the payments from the insurance company. He offered us a variety of options to choose from for our new roof, and also added other things in such as gutters and fascia, which were additional charges, but very affordable. His workers were in and out in just two days and did a great and clean job. Austin is very down to earth and very friendly. He is easy to work with and is understanding with situational circumstances. We had a large variety of companies to choose from to do this job, but we selected fives contracting after a thorough weeding out process. Many of the bigger local companies did not have as well of a personal touch like he did.

I suspected that I had hail damage from a major storm last year based on a significant number of the homes in my area displaying roofing contractor signs in their front yards all of a sudden. I contacted several of these roofing contractors but none were willing to give me a quote without knowing what amount my insurance would cover. Frankly, I did not feel comfortable with any of them. I then contacted a local company, Fives Contracting, and the owner, Austin Lemma, came out the following day. Austin performed a thorough inspection of my roof and gave me a detailed quote that I found to be very reasonable. At that point, I contacted my insurance company who sent an adjuster out within a few days. Austin was waiting for him on the roof when he arrived and was able to get my entire roof replacement covered by insurance. Austin provided me with the addresses of several homes in the area that he had recently worked on so that I could feel confident about my shingle color choice selection by seeing it in person. My roof was removed, repaired, and replaced all in one day and Austin personally oversaw his crew the entire time. I will definitely be using Fives Contracting again for future projects.

We used them 2 years ago and was very happy with their professionalism, even if there was an issue that they resolved by reducing their invoice amount for us. Jump two years later, now it's 2023, and we hire them to clean my Mother-in-law's house in PA. They arrived early, did the job, and left. My mother-in-law was in a panic because they failed to clean up the mess they left behind, literally. After cleaning her dryer vent, they left all this clumpy dirt behind the dryer and mom freaked out. The forgot to cover several vents and dirt blew out of the vents all over her very expensive dining room -- and on top of that, had to return an hour later because they forgot to turn the thermostat back on, and then return the next day to see the dirt they left behind but did NOT apologize, but said that's what happens when you have a dirty HVAC system. Really?? Isn't that why we hired you? Because we have dirty vents? Not for you to make the dirt travel from the ducts to the house furniture! Well, now WE will not use them for our next service later this year, and we are NOT RECOMMENDING that anyone else who wants professional contractors hire them either! Sorry Induct, but you do NOT treat your customers who paid over $1200 like this! Especially an elderly woman like Mom! You are DISMISSED! Sorry that we weren't there to take pictures to post here.
