I just had a great experience at KS Nails (Soon to be called Colorful Nails) on 54 in Wesley Chapel next to Bagelicious. Lee (sorry don't know last name) and Yesika Rodriguez have gotten together and are turning the place around. I have followed Yesika wherever she is working for the past 5 years. When I double checked the address to be sure I knew where I was going I ran into prior reviews and those older reviews were NOT good. My experience was in a clean, classy salon which was playing contemporary music, not the dreaded atmospheric music that some salons play because they are trying to make a calming environment. That is not my personal preference for music. The best part - the price. I just paid $17 less for the same service as at the last salon. The only drawback I can see is their parking lot was a little bit tight but it was still lunchtime right next to a restaurant. When I left it was smooth sailing. 5 stars - highly recommend. Terrible job done with the eyebrow wax! She didn't say a word to me or ask me how I wanted my eyebrows shaped... she was very rough, and pushed very hard against my entire orbital area instead of just beneath the brow bone. She ripped off the wax very hard with one hand instead of using her other hand to stabilize the adjacent skin around my eye. I've been to many salons that apply the wax just once per side of the eyebrow. She kept going back to apply wax and ripping off the strips even harder the second and third time around. This is the first time I've walked out of a nail salon with wounds on my face. I didn't realize it initially because the whole area was red and very tender. When I got home and applied aloe, the wounds became more visible. Definitely not going back here. Don't waste your money... have your eyebrows done by a professional. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I have been here twice, once 3 weeks ago for a fill and right now for a Spa Pedicure and a fill! All I can say is WOW! Excellent customer service, Kim Nugyen and her son along with her staff are wonderful, attentive to your every need. Kim is a genuine multitasker, organizing everyone, keeping everyone moving so no one sits too long, cleaning up and folding rags as she goes! Very meticulous! Reminds me of myself! You can tell she takes great pride in the services she provides and I personally can relate to that! Even if they're busy, if you are getting a Spa Pedi they make sure that they get you into a Spa Massage Chair ASAP so that while you are waiting you can sit while soaking your feet in a "sanitary" plastic covered foot bath full of aroma as the rollers from the massage chair target your sore, achey, stiff muscles (from the week of dreaded juggling customers and employees yourself all week while also having to work a few of the jobs yourself because your short staffed ) and then with it's Swedish Machine style of massage that grinds and kneads deep down into the muscles from the top of your neck down to your tail bone ever so precisely as to almost make one want to cry out "YES!!! THIS FEELS AMAZING!", but then you look around and everyone else is engaged in their very own silent, personal, heavenly Spa Experience!!! So by the time I was finished with my spa pedicure I was mush, slowing melting into my Swedish Massage Heaven!! Then it was over...time for the second half of this BEST SPA PEDICURE / SPA NAIL experience I HAVE EVRR HAD IN ABOUT 25 years.... in this new place that is only five minutes from where I live! ! Now, nails are being worked on to an almost impossible task of really making me completely HAPPY, DELIGHTED and GLOWING with a sense of "WOW!!!!, I FEEL BEAUTIFUL AGAIN!". Then, one more delight right before they send you on your way, feeling more relaxed, more feminine, more beautiful than you did before you entered, they handed me my own personal 4 piece Pedicure Pumice Kit that they used on your feet, to take home and use until the next time where you will be given another one! Yes, one after EVERY Spa Pedicure. Insuring that you are being completely and fully protected against cross contamination of anyone else's bacteria or germs!! Super impressed! As I am a bit OCD myself, I can relax knowing that Kim has elevated the sanitization and care for individual clients to where I don't have to worry about that anymore. I will from now on be returning to KS NAILS regularly....I mean "seriously, Kim has set a new standard of the Spa Mani/ Pedi experience. I recommend anyone and everyone who's local to stop in and see for yourself. Kim also does Microblading, (which I asked to see some of her work which is phenomenal) as well as Permanent Market. First, I just wanted to state on here since they haven't done so, the owner Kim just bought this place back after selling a few years ago. The negative reviews were between her owning it and nobody working during those times is there anymore. I have been her client for a little over 4 years and have followed her from when she owned this to the other places she worked before buying KS back about 2 months ago :) Small salon with reasonable prices and excellent work! I drove half an hour to get to her at the last spot so do not hesitate to come here. Happy to have them back in Wesley Chapel!!! read more

Don't come here. I got my nails done here about a week & a half ago & they are already lifting. Also when I was getting my nails done I asked the owner to take them off & put a new set of acrylics . She did not soak them she literally just ripped off my acrylics, my real nail was ripped off with the acrylics & she just said "it'll be whole again when I put on the acrylics" whatever that means. In the end I came out with uneven, crooked nails & she charged me $55. Don't waste your money here, they don't care & have a bad attitude. read more

Went in there for gel manicure and a pedicure. It was early in the day so they weren't busy, I was literally the only customer in there. So I decided to give them a try, being that it's convenient from where I live. AND ID NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE GO THERE TO DO THEIR NAILS UNLESS ITS A PEDICURE but even to just that, I wasn't satisfied. The workers don't really know what theyre doing except one younger girl, who isn't they're often. The lady who filed my nails when I was doing my pedicure filed them uneven, and crooked. So I got fed up and told her I'd just do acrylic given that I'm going on vacation & I didn't even want acrylic in the first place but she already messed up my nails. Any how the guy who did my acrylics didn't measure opposite finger nail lengths and my left hand nails is shorter than the right. The polish isn't to the corners and the clear coat on top isn't on the entire nail. And he cut me twice. So I wouldn't recommend anyone coming here even if it's right across the street from where you live. Not even worth your money to try out !!! Don't waste your time and money. read more

Truly a frustrating experience from start to finish. I went in with my daughter for a fill and a pedi. I've been getting my nails done for about 20 years so know the whole process. First, the customer service was a zero and instead more of a "why" don't I want my toes done with gel or why don't I want a touch up on my eyebrows or an upgrade on my pedi for my daughter and myself b/c they had a "sale". The tech was lightweight combative b/c I had to explain nooooo I don't want to spend that much on that service. Once I told her I had microblading done she went so far as to tell me I paid too much and she charged less!! Ok, to my nails . Thick like Publix frosting. Some edges running over , sloppy . Sides not covered all the way either, and when I said something to her , she was insulted and said it was b/c my nails were so long ( not ) and I should just do dip like the rest of her customers. As for my feet, once they finished, there's no drying station so you must just sit and wait. Well, they rushed me out to pay .... here's the best part 3 different techs worked on us.... ( which is not necessary ) so when I was appropriate to tip despite my dismay...... SHE QUESTIONED THE AMOUNT FOR EACH BC IT WAS 3 OF THEM!!!!!!! . Once I left I had the young boy come after me to take the toe dividers out, and you guessed it, my toes were not dry. Toes on both of my feet had to get quickly redone with no top coat. I went in looking better with a 5 week need of fill then I came out. WILL NOT BE RETURNING. read more

The second time here and I will ever go back. I had an appointment and had to wait 30 minutes! The lady doing my nails stopped repeatedly during my appointment and worked with other customers! I was already upset about having to wait 30 minutes! I was there 1 1/2 hours for a fill! Now not even 2 weeks later my nails have chipped and completely broken off. $45 later, a mess! BEWARE. I originally went to get my colored acrylics off my nails and regular manicure. I was convinced by one of the ladies to take them off and do a whole new set. I agreed and mentioned I really would like my cuticles cut. She said it was 5 dollars extra, i agreed to the extra charge. As she was was taking my acrylics off I overheard her telling clients that she was sorry to call them in early for their appointments because they are trying to leave at 6pm. I got there around 3:45 and as there was a lot of people coming in, about 8 pedicures and 4 manicures were accepted so my nails were so rushed. I did give a tip but will never return at again. She didnt even do my cuticles! Should never be so unprofessional. My nails are crooked! And for 35 bucks it is such a waste of my money. And i just knew it would be an issur for her to fix them. My sister's pedicures were subpar as well. We are extremely disappointed because when we visit salons we always bring in plenty of business. Really sad with this salon. read more
