My mothers vehicle had Gear Shift problem that his company fixed 2wks ago on a 2005 Grand Marquis Limited edition, which done improper. While driving doing a Door Dash Pickup on South Orange avenue two bolts from under the steering wheel column fell out and the steering wheel popped and airbag popped out. This prior work above he Charged a total of $485 that included Towing. When advised of the above issue over the phone Alex stated that his company didn't touch the Steering column to fix the Gear Shift. He finds every excuse in the book to not own up to his below average mechanic work or vehicles. So next Ball Street Auto fixed the Steering column and airbag, which again wasn't properly done by mechanics. This job he charged another $480 + with the towing. Alex, why didn't you incur the cost of your companies quality of work? Not looking for answer. When I called him on this topic, Alex again couldn't even be Professional enough to say bring the car and let me check out and if there was a error done my my Mechanics I will fix it. He also hung up the phone on me. Yesterday, I went to his establishment and voice my concerns with his Professionalism of hanging up phone then his Quality of Work. He attempted to be condescending stating I am naive. So I had to get stern with him for playing with my Intelligence. By Law no Auto Body shop can not do Mechanic work on any vehicle and it is done improperly where the work can cause the customer bodily harm and or death. His poor mechanic work almost could have cause me my life. Just luckily I had just got off interstate highway and decided to do Door Dash Locally Thursday, because if I would have stayed on highway I probably would have been in a fatal car accident on highway because when steering wheel popped it had no control. To any Customers that have experience the same Unprofessionalism and Lack of Proper Mechanic Work to their vehicle and rudeness follow these steps: Go to Irvington City Hall and ask to be taken to the Department of Revenue to file a Formal Complaint on Ball Street Auto Service Center. You will be directed to the Point of Contact to send your Formal Complaint. Next, go to Irvington Police Department and advise them you want to file a Civil Complaint on the above company. Note: Be sure to advise the Officer at the Front Office as soon as you go in to the right, that you Paid (Give the Amount) and the Quality of Work was not done properly. The Officer will give you a Civil Complaint form on Irvington PD letterhead to complete and submit to start the formal complaint process. I was looking for a…read moresecurity system for my Rubicon 392 and, at first, Jay spent a lot of the time on the phone with me explaining all the options available to me. He then suggested that I come down to the shop where he felt it best that I see the various products in person and discuss things in further detail. Everything was done in a professional manner, discussing the pros and cons of each option. I was allowed to decide exactly what system I wanted in my own time without any high-pressured salesmanship. I felt that I could have walked out without purchasing anything and it wouldn't have mattered. Once we decided on a system, it was determined that Jay was going to have to write some custom software to meet our specific goals. That said, the vehicle would have to be there for at least a full day as we didn't know what issues may pop up due to the rewrite and we didn't want to add the pressure of a time constraint. We wanted to be sure to get the job right the first time. Jay totally worked around my schedule ensuring that I wouldn't be inconvenienced more than necessary. Sure enough, Jay finished the job on time, and everything worked perfectly. Not to mention the respect that he showed my vehicle. It was practically ripped apart inside but you couldn't tell that it was even worked on. I have done my fair share of installs, and I know the work involved; especially with something this extensive. When it was time to pick up my vehicle, Jay stayed way past closing time demonstrating the system and explaining everything in great detail. He wanted to be sure that I understood everything completely and made sure that I had his cell number in case I ran into any issues afterwards. I was told to call anytime with any questions or concerns. All in all, it was not an inexpensive project. However, when you factor in that you're trying to protect something you own that is attractive to thieves, the fact that you got a custom system tailor made for you, and all the time and attention that went into the project, it was a tremendous value. Anyone could have just thrown in any generic system and let me be on my way. Instead, Jay listened to my needs, came up with a comprehensive solution and I now rest a bit easier knowing my vehicle is protected. Especially since I hear more and more how 392s are disappearing. My whole day was shot. There is this stupid mook girl with multi colored hair who wont tell you what the problem is. They went to the side to discuss what the problem is and will not communicate with you and you wind up wasting precious time. They keep you there longer than what they need to because they want to lose business. I was really upset with them. They need to communicate with you so you will know what the problem is. Not keep you there for 3-4 hours. I would have given them the business but do not hold me up. Then they tell me they have Zelle when then the cash machine next door exceeded the limit I was able to withdraw. They do good reliable work. They just need to communicate so you know the time you are up against. Dont hold you captive and say nothing;. If I were not going to go back there, that is the only issue that I had with them.
