We did not use K&J but we unfortunately ran across the owner, Jeremy, while on the way to work Dec 19th. We aren't positive how we made him angry but he claimed when I spoke with him that we "rode his ass" and we are thus deserving of him verbally abusing me and my friend who was driving, cursing at me and otherwise being incredibly disrespectful. When I called his business I spoke with the woman who answers the phone who was polite. When I called the "owner" I said "Jeremy, are you driving in front of us right now?" He immediately began cursing and yelling at me. I feel as though this man is unpredictable and all we saw was rage in his face. I called to calmly deal with the issue as he blew his top. On top of that, he is the one who sped around us at an unsafe speed and yelled through his window at us for a while (this is how we realized he was angry with us) To our knowledge in the 3 minutes we had been on the road we were never behind a white work truck, and considering how irrational and erratic he was behaving I feel this is a issue that others thinking of using this business should be aware of. read more

I use farmers insurance and they dispatched these guys. First it took longer than the estimated time. Second when I called for an update the man was based out of Texas and told me I could hit him for his mistake. I am not violent and have no desire to hit anyone. And that is not a way to make the situation better. I am very disappointed in their lack of customer service. I am still waiting and it has now been 2 hours. I have called over 5 times and they keep saying 15 minutes. So if you don't have a life and enjoy freezing to death use this service. Update: the gentleman who actually helped me with my vehicle was very nice and did change my tire quickly. read more

Called my insurance company "progressive" as I locked myself out of my car. They sent these guys to help me out. Estimated time was 1 hour. I was back in my car within 20 minutes. read more

Very reliable, they go the extra mile...K and J to the rescue...I had just completed running a half marathon at Hillsboro Stadium, prior to race I had discovered I did not have my car key, but nothing I could do about it then. I thought perhaps I had locked the key in the car accidentally and would deal with it after the race. K and J auto rescue arrived promptly and unlocked car, but to my dismay I could not locate key. Jeremy, with K and J, assured me he was not going to leave me stranded. He made phone call to a Honda dealership to ask about making a new key for my Honda, at the tune of $170 plus I had to have car towed there too $$$$!!! He also practically strip searched my car looking for key and could not find it. I had mentioned to Jeremy that I thought I had put my key in a special pouch that I carry when I run, but right before getting to stadium I was looking for something else in the pouch and noticed my key was missing. He took it upon himself to retrace my steps, because I was so tired from running and it was such a warm day, and even went to lost and found. If there's any silver lining to realizing that you've locked your keys in your car, it is K and J Auto Rescue. These guys are prompt, professional, and HONEST with extremely reasonable prices. Yesterday I was dying to go home at the end of a long day at work, when I realized I had locked my keys in my car, d'oh! The first company I called tried to send a shady guy that wouldn't quote me a price over the phone. No thanks! I cancelled with that company and Jeremy from K and J showed up and was going to charge me $40. Interestingly enough, just as Jeremy was arriving, the first technician rolled up as well. Knowing I'd be alone and stranded, the first tech denied that I'd called him off. WHAT A CREEP. I felt safe with Jeremy and was thankful he was there. He went BEYOND the extra mile - he refused to take payment because I was shaken when the creep was there and even followed me to the freeway to make sure that the creep wouldn't follow me. Who does that?? I get that it would be easy to extort money from people that are stranded with their vehicles, and I understand why people do it. It is rare to find a person and company that stand by their statements of customer satisfaction, professionalism and quality service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! read more

Unmitigated honesty, I am super impressed with K and J Auto Rescue (and Jeremy the owner!) I am a new Real Estate agent in Portland and through the hustle and bustle of trying to set up for one of my first open houses I managed to lock both sets of keys in the car. Luckily I had my cell phone and went looking for help. K and J was not the first person I called: I called alldenverlocksmith.com/Auto (Only $15!!!) by accident as it was the FIRST THING that popped up when I typed in: Locked out of my car, Portland. What a mistake that was! The person who picked up the phone for Alldenverlocksmith just asked for my location and then confirmed that they where located in Colorado but had an agent out in my area and would have him call me shortly after she gave him my information. I hung up the phone and waited twenty minutes realizing that I had made a mistake by calling a company all the way out in Colorado even if they where my first search result and they where advertising 15 bucks for a lock out. I then went back to Google and narrowed my search: Car Locksmith Rescue, Beaverton Oregon. K and J was just past the alldenverlocksmith, which popped up in my search as well. I then called K and J and was greeted by clear professionalism. They offered a quote for the job, took down my name and information, and then gave me an estimate of 45 minutes. 10 minutes later I get a call from Jeremy himself saying that he was close to where I was and was on his way. I waited 20 minutes after that and both K and J as well as alldenverlocksmith (who hadn't even bothered to call me beforehand) showed up AT THE SAME TIME. Only Mr. Alldenver showed up in an unmarked (and brand new!) mercedes benz with a Washington license plate. Jeremy from K and J parked behind my locked vehicle with a clearly marked and professional looking truck for the job. Mr. Alldenver got out and right away told me that he was the OWNER OF THE COMPANY of the guy in the truck and that the guy in the K and J truck was his buddy from Afganistan (um... weird...). He then beckoned me over and asked me right away for my credit card information WITHOUT asking for my name first. As I begin to tell him that I had that locked in my car too, Jeremy from K and J came forward and saved the day. Jeremy asked promptly for the other guy's company and licensing for being a locksmith. Mr. alldenver stammered and contended with Jeremy's request for proof of licensing, but Jeremy did have a point: where was this guy's license, tags, business information? After a moment of questions I went with K and J because of Jeremy's clear knowledge of information and genuine honesty (I mean the other guy got out of the car and lied to me about being friends with Jeremy in Afganistan and wanted my credit card information BEFORE asking for my name... I mean come on.) I apologized to Mr.Alldenver for being a putz and calling two companies (I mean it was my fault, I panicked! I was locked out of my car!) and Mr. Alldenver went about his way. Jeremy maintained a clear level of professionalism when handling that heated moment, got my car unlocked, and I was able to finish my busy day. I must say how EXTREAMLY impressed I am with how Jeremy handled that situation. I would DEFINENTLY suggest K and J to my friends who find themselves locked out of their car, in the future (or when I lock myself out of my car again, haha). read more

After getting roadside assistance from them through them through our insurance we went less than a mile, and heard horrible sounds. When we pulled over one lug nut had come off and 2 others were loose. We could have lost a tire on the freeway! When we called back we got, "we'll call you right back." When they didn't we called them back. At this point they denied that our tire had any problems? I'm a very easygoing person, but when you don't put my tire on correctly, almost cause me to die and then deny there was a problem I think that is terrible. read more

I wish I could give them 0 stars! Katie is rude and unprofessional! This company left me locked out of my car for 3 hours in 20 degree weather with 2 kids. The kept giving me false times that they would be there. Finally I cancelled the order and called TLC and they were there in 15 minutes. Don't use these guys! read more
