We could not get Walburn to repair it until we asked our contractor to intervene for us. A few months later and the other side of the countertop is separating and once more we have not been able to get Walburn to repair it even after our contractor once more intervened on our behalf. We had Richard install a new roof about five years ago and the entire ordeal was a complete…read morenightmare. During installation it began to rain and Richard was not present while his guys were on the roof working. So they thought they could just throw a tarp over the top of it and that it would be fine. We ended up with a ton of water damage. The rain seeped through our ceiling and we had to have all of the ceiling tiles replaced, due to their negligence. We hadn't had our new roof and ceiling tiles more than a year before we started noticing leaks and huge brown water spots appearing everywhere on the tiles. I took photos of the damage and sent them to Richard and he kept giving excuses as to why he wasn't coming out and kept saying he would get to it after me constantly texting him, to no avail. On a couple occasions he told me a day and time when he would come, only to be a no call no show. We trusted Richard because he was pastoring a church that we used to attend and we had heard from many how great his work was and that he was honest and very dependable. We were extremely disappointed to find out otherwise when he wouldn't return our texts or calls. We were repeatedly given the runaround. He did come out once to look at the water spots and said he would correct it, after claiming my husband stiffed him 2k for other projects he did for us and that we need to be patient with him because he was patient with us. I even told him if we owed him any amount of money whatsoever, I would write a check right then and there for what wasn't paid for if that was the case. He said that wasn't necessary and he wasn't going to say anything because of all the trouble we had to deal with from his crew basically not knowing what they were doing. I finally gave up on asking him to make things right in 2019 because we had an even bigger uphill battle to face. My father's terminal cancer diagnosis. Then Covid hit in 2020 and by the end of the year we lost my dad. I finally decided to leave a review concerning his construction company and have decided to get in touch with the BBB, which by this point I'm not expecting anything to come from it. I tried going about this the best way I knew how as a Christian myself, but I feel others deserve to know what they could possibly be getting themselves into should they decide to hire Richard or anyone who works for him. We now have several more water spots appearing across our ceiling tiles from heavy rainfall 07/18/2022 - 07/19/2022, which is why I finally decided to post a review and get in contact with the BBB to file a report.
