I have only taken my doggo here once, and was very pleased with the results. The business is located on a sketch corner of Liliha and Vineyard, but I live closeby and drive by it frequently, so for many months now, my eye has caught the dog grooming sign outside. It's not the nicest location, but I'm so glad I found the Yelp reviews, which gave me confidence in taking my baby here. I called on a random day and Misun answered the phone, and was able to accommodate my dog that week! This is something I'm not used to. When we arrived, I parked in the back (enter on Liliha, makai direction), and Misun opened the back door. She was so sweet and let my Kiki baby sniff around apprehensively. I could tell she loved dogs and took the time to let my dog check out the new environment. There wasn't any service descriptions, packages, or liability forms, so I found that a little odd, but trusted that all would be well and that I wouldn't be surprised on cost. Misun shared that the grooming is all inclusive at $75 so I figured that was fine. She called me three hours later and I picked up my Kiki and paid via electronic app. I was very pleased - my doggie was very cute, the staff was so nice, and I'd definitely come back again. While I might like a "lite" package to do some maintenance in between some big groomings, I definitely can do the "all inclusive" several times a year. read more

When I've been a good little chihuahua, like not peeing on the carpet or nipping at the neighbors ankle, my mommy treatss me to see Misun at k-9 Style for a little pampering . When I arrive Misun meets me with a friendly smile. She trims my nails and buff it smooth. Afterward my tootsies feel so good I want to dance like a ballerina. As a reward she treats me to some chicken jerky. So if you want some gentle pampering I highly recommend K-9 Styles. You can tell Misun BELLA sent you. read more

Finally found a groomer that's conveniently located to us ever since we moved to town. We used to go to Kapolei just to get our dog groomed and we've kept coming back because we know they'll do the job. I was honestly skeptical at this place first even though I've seen it before when we first moved but considering the drive, I had to take a shot and boy I'm so glad I did! This is probably the cleanest cut that I've seen that's done to our dog. Price is reasonable considering they do everything and they were so kind and sweet! It felt like they treated her as if she was their own. They'll be our dog's primary groomer moving forward! read more

MiSun is the most sweetest patient groomer I've experienced. When my doggie was done-I was expecting-thank you but no bring your doggy back but she was so understanding and welcomed my dog back! My dog Tierra is a big scaredy dog and afraid of everything. She is so hard to bathe and trim her nails but not with MiSun. When I went to pick her up-she was so happy with MiSun-wagging her tail and all. I know I've found my "forever groomer" with MiSun. We even went straight to Petco to get the recommended brush Tierra needs. Thank you MiSun! read more

Took my lil Biskit for a bath, nail trimming, ear cleaning. She did an amazing job. He can be a little skittish and I was worried about that, but she did a fantastic job. Will definitely be seeing her again and I also referred my daughter to take her goldendoodle to her read more

This was our dog's first professional grooming experience. Many places weren't accepting any new clients, so we're so glad that we were able to book an appointment at K-9 Style, and could come in as soon as this weekend for a full groom (haircut, bath, nail trimming, anal gland expression...). The owner was so kind and patient throughout the entire process. Misun took the time to talk to us about what we wanted and made sure that our dog was comfortable. When we returned to pick our dog up after around three hours, she was no longer anxious and we were happy with the results. She came home happy with her little bandana. read more

I luv taking our Malchi 'Anela to K-9 Style, especially since Mi-Sun is such a Kind, Patient & Sweet groomer!!! My Hubby found K-9 Style through yelp.com, since the other groomers that we were taking our 'Anela to in the past, wanted to charge us a "late fee", if we pick up our Doggie a little late, sayyyyyyy what??? Fast forward to today; 7/27/2018, our 'Anela was groomed again by Mi-Sun today, always Wonderful great service from her, she's so Sweet && always does A very good job in grooming our MalChi 'Anela (which Mi-Sun) always calls her Angel, since she can't seem to say 'Anela!! I think it's still so Cute that this Super Sweet Nice groomer Mi-Sun, works good in what she does!! Her grooming place is clean & she always locks the door while grooming the Cutie Doggies, since that area is very close to MW Housing, it's still Cool with my Hubby & I, where her place is located!! Japanese ladies are absolutely the kindest people you'll ever meet. The last pet groomer I went to was also a Japanese lady so when I saw that the groomer here was Japanese, I knew I was going to have a good experience. I'm literally hopping from different groomers to see which is the best for my little Luffy and since this place is literally a 3 minute walk from my house, this takes first place! She'll kindly take your walk-in if you're like me and got really lazy to plan ahead and make an appointment HA. Just call her and see what times she has available for you. She guided me on what kind of haircut I wanted and she had a bunch of pictures on her wall of different dogs and their cut. I was able to leave him with her while I went back home and waited for 2 hours until I could come back and pick him up. For those of you who don't live nearby, there is a small parking lot in the back! My total came to a little less than $70 and that includes nail trimming too. She is really helpful and a very patient lady who can handle my hyperactive pom. read more

K-9 Style - Just in time for summer! - Pet Groomers Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

The owner of this place is so sweet and you can tell that she's really experience with animals. I called on a random day to see if she has any opening for a nail cutting for my dog. My dog has really long nails and I could never get to touch his nails with the nail trimmer at home. I let the owner know and she assured me it will be ok and told me to bring in my dog Jackie. The place has a small parking lot in the back. From the outside, the store doesn't look like much. But when you walk in you can see that it is fully equipped for grooming. She will lock the front door once you come in because she focuses on one animal at a time which is really nice. The place also looks clean and neat. She was really friendly with my dog and kept assuring him when he got nervous. She was able to cut my dogs nails and file them smooth too. Nail cutting was $15. My dad gave Jackie a botched haircut a few weeks ago and the owner was so nice to help fix up parts of the haircut. He doesn't look so crazy now. Overall I would come back here again! read more

We are newcomers from San Diego and we were worried about finding a groomer for our beloved mini schnauzer, Gandalf. K-9 Style Groomers had great reviews and it was close to home so I took a chance. When I called to make an appointment, Mi Sun was very helpful and EXCITED to groom our schnauzer since there aren't very many of them here on the island. Already I felt comfortable!!! Brought Gandalf in for his noon appointment. Mi Sun stopped what she was doing when we walked in. We chatted for a little bit and she invited us both into the back where I filled out paperwork. I liked how she acknowledged my dog in the back area. She then asked if I wanted a "schnauzer cut" and I said yes. She asked about his eyes and beard because typically these areas on a schnauzer have a specific cut. She made a suggestion regarding his eyebrows and I just had a feeling that I coukd trust her. I knew he was going to look outstanding!!! 3 hours later my girls and I arrived to pick up Gandalf, it was the moment of truth!!!! To be honest, he has never looked better. I'm no groomer but you can tell the effort and time Mi Sun took to make my dog look so handsome! His ears were spot on, shaved close to the leather! His trim underneath was excellently cut and level. Even his behind looked good, LOL! Overall, wonderful experience! Will definitely come back for more. Only downfall is they don't accept credit cards but luckily I had enough cash for groom plus tip! read more

Mi Sun, the owner of K9 Style is be far the best doggie hairstylist around. Bella, my doggo is quite possibly the most boujee dog ever born and hates all things dirty, able to move, and foreign to her...Including people. I've taken her to Petco, where she hated it. PetSmart, where she hated it, and other small businesses. Coming to K9 Style, I was a little hesitant. The area isnt the nicest, but Mi Sun doesn't double book and only takes 1 client at a time...Plus she locks the door while she works. The shop is decent sized and very animal friendly. Once I got there, she took the time to allow Bella to get to know her a little and ease her stress. Rather than me just handing her over and get the usual "it'll be about 6 hours", Mi Sun talked to me...Showed me that she had experience by using her own techniques to make Bella comfortable and said "it'll be about 2 hours." My jaw hit the floor. 2 hours, no way. I didn't know what cut I wanted so I trusted her to do what she felt appropriate. And she did an AMAZING job. Bella was beautiful! Thanks Mi Sun and see you again soon! read more

Been having our dog formed here for a decade! The owner is outstanding and does a phenomenal job on small and large dogs!

Owner was super friendly. My little guy seemed very happy, and she allowed him to wonder around and get used to her work area instead of putting him in a crate right way. When I picked up him up he didn't seem agitated or anxious, like he can get at places like Petco. Will definitely be returning to get him groomed again! read more

Mi Sun Is the best! I brought my 1 year old pomeranian there for his first haircut. When I first got there, she made my dog feel comfortable. She put him down on the ground and made him walk around. My dog peed on almost every corner, YET, she was fine with it! Then she took her time to ask me how did I want my dogs hair to be cut. She really was patient and she made sure that his haircut would be just the way I wanted it. She's so GENTLE with animals. She's very flexible with how you want your dog's haircut; Even if she's in the middle of cutting your dogs hair, you can ask her to change it up, and she'll be more than happy to! This groomers has been the MOST AFFORDABLE one that I came across and the service is the BEST! I was so nervous to cut my dogs hair there but she definitely changed my mind about it! Now I know where to get my dog's haircut at every 3 Months!! read more

I love this place! They take care of our fur baby so well! Reasonably priced, Thanks for providing such great service!

A waste of $68. We paid the most for the worse cut ever. A very nice lady but does one cut and cut all dogs the same. We discussed the way my toy yorkie' s face was already cutt and she was to do just a clean up on his face. She was even shown some of his pictures. Not only was he so ugly when I picked him up, his cut was uneven, nails still very long, and he didn't smell good at all. I should've followed my first mind and went somewhere else. read more

Very very great experience. If you're like me and your furry friend is like family to you, this is a great place to bring them to get cleaned up. I was very skeptical considering the area she's located in, but with the good reviews on yelp I had to give her a try since she was so close to where I live. When I had first got there she was working on one dog and had another waiting on the side. You can tell she really has a passion for what she does. It seems like she honestly loves each of the dogs she works on as her own. I just had her do his nails and brush his teeth. She's very helpful and answered any questions I had and gave me great tips on how to make taking care of him a lot easier. Her price is very reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who has a pet and lives in town. read more

I just moved off Island and I am desperately missing K-9 style. It was down the street from where we lived, and was the only place we could take our neurotic pup to get his nails done - the only place to be able to do it because they were patient with him and she was willing to figure out why he was so nervous and let him get used to her. She's really gentle and kind to the dogs. Since moving, I haven't been able to find a replacement who can work as well with him. read more

Don't usually do reviews, but after reading all the positive feedback about K9, I decided to give it a try for my 2 year old King Charles Cavalier. I was nervous, as was Oliver, as this was his first grooming. From the moment I walked in the door I felt comfortable and welcomed. Ollie wasn't as impressed, but he eventually warmed up. She spent 2 hours working through long hair and a not so cooperative pooch, and the results were amazing. He looks great, not traumatized, and her price was very reasonable! I will highly recommend this sweet lady and her doggie salon, and Oliver and I will be back read more

I called to make reservation for my two pomeranians and got in the next day. Mi Sun was, so sweet. Like others said she loves, animals, and loves on them when you bring them in. This place is a bit of a drive for me but I wanted to try it for the good reviews. My dog at first was very nervous being here and he had a lot of under coat hair because he's a Pomeranian/Japanese Spitz so really needed a de- shedding. When I came to pick him up he was really happy. The owner did such a great job cleaning him up. She did quote me one price over the phone and added $10 when she actually saw my dog because she said my dog needed a lot of work. I didn't disagree but am glad I tried it. I would recommend this place if you live near Liliha Yay to try. My dog was happy. read more

Thank you yelp reviewers...without your high ratings and descriptions, I would not, perhaps, have considered this groomer. But like most said, the owner/groomer is great and loving. My puppy could be diagnosed with ADHD, he just wants to play and she showers him with love and attention--giving him exactly what he craves. He actually gets excited to be there! He just recently got a english cocker spaniel hair cut and I must say, he looks totally dashing! Oh and another thing, he had a rash on his scalp and I went to her so he could have his head shaved (and thus, make it so I could apply his ointment easier), she refused to accept payment for this. read more
