I had my hair done by Amanda twice and the second time was the give her another chance but that was a mistake. I've been bleaching my hair for years, and unfortunately this was the worst experience I've had. The amount of bleach applied to my hair was excessive, it felt incredibly heavy while processing, and I ended up losing several inches of hair afterward due to the damage. One thing that really concerned me was that the bleach application started on the front ends of my hair. From my understanding, the ends are the most fragile part of the hair and generally shouldn't be the first area to receive bleach since they'll process the longest. Given the amount of breakage I experienced, this made me question the application technique. Because this has never happened before. I was also disappointed with the aftercare. Once my hair was washed, only a few sprays of product were applied, certainly not enough to cover my hair (real), which reaches the middle of my back. After such an intensive lightening service, I expected more conditioning and protective products to help restore moisture. Lastly, I wasn't a fan of the JZ styles shampoo and conditioner that were used. I completely understand wanting to promote and sell the salon's own product line, but when I'm paying for a professional salon service, I expect high-quality, professional salon products to be used throughout the appointment. Overall, I left with significantly damaged hair, lost length that took years to grow, and an experience that did not meet the standard I expect from a professional salon. read more

I'm conflicted. I tried JZ STYLE wefts years ago and the problem wasn't the weft they were just not for me so this year I gave JZ another chance and purchased 2 packs of tape in extensions from them in store along with JZ STYLES brand tape and remover. I have worn tape ins for years now and never had a problem with them staying in with other tape adhesive stickers however I figured if I'm going to buy JZ hair I'd make sure I do it right and also use the same brand tape stickers. Idk if it was just the batch we bought however I'm not sure I would ever use them again. Over the 2 weeks I've had them in I've had 3 total sandwiches of hair fall out and the tape is not sticky whatsoever NO STICK. I was really disappointed. He didn't even get a lot of hair for the money and it's not the best quality. I wish I would've done more research like I usually do... it probably would've helped that they had a promo code for your first order so you could at least try it out if it didn't work it wouldn't have been such a hit. I've been coming here since March and have been nothing short of impressed. I see Randy and absolutely love it! He's efficient, professional, and very kind. I love how personable he is and that he cares about me. He does my extensions in a timely manner and styles my hair afterwards. My move-ups always look and feel great. Loved the hair extensions I bought from their retail store. However, I have thick hair and my hair is medium length so I wish they let me know when I went in to buy hair that it may be possible my extensions would be cut shorter in order to blend good with my natural hair since my natural hair is thick and it may be noticeable. I would have gone with the shortest hair extensions to save some money on the hair if it was going to be cut shorter anyways or buy another bag to help it blend better (I ended up buying 2 bags of machine wefts). I also wish I would have been suggested to buy tape ins for the front pieces. It was my first time buying extensions and getting them done so I definitely learned something new! But as someone that did not want to dye my hair, the color match for the extensions I got was perfect! Came to get hair done from out of state, traveled and saved money for months as I had very high hopes for this place. Saw how amazing they were all over tik tok. Got my hair done. My extensions didn't match my hair even though they colored it. They were blended terribly I had to end up paying someone else to cut them to look better on top of what I paid JZ. I reached out and was given simply a refund of just the color and they said even that was a stretch of what they could do and all they could do...unless I could come in and pay AGAIN to do/fix my hair they messed up. On top of that the hair itself is very stiff and fake feeling and cost a fortune for something I could've gotten on amazing for cheapwr. Terrible ways to comply to customers. Won't be returning. I have never been to this salon but I know that the stylist I used (cheated on my other one; which I so now regret due to location!) used this brand. I don't even feel comfortable writing this review, but I had to. I was trying to figure out the other day what the smell was from these new extensions and I figured it out! I never write reviews and I've never thought about writing a bad one. I'm just really disappointed, confused and hurt. I've been coming to this salon for the last 2 years. The other day I came in to get my hair colored. My stylist and I talked about how she had this color at home that's really nice to put in and is easy to take out if you need. I had no idea what this was but loved the idea of having a nice product in my hair that was easy to take out. Throughout my appointment we talked about how it could be in for up to 8 weeks, and if we wanted it out sooner I could run in and get a bleach bowl rinse essentially. I had a photoshoot in Hawaii less than a week later and had to ask the company I was shooting for if I could color my hair. I was asking all these questions the company was asking me with my stylist so I could give them "accurate" answers. I get charged for a hair dye and I'm SO EXCITED about my hair. After the appointment she suggested we go to a hair store to pick up a conditioner to maintain my hair. Perfect!! I'm so excited! My hair. Looks SO GOOD. A few days later I'm in Hawaii, and I wash my hair for the first time. These pictures are before and after. Literally 5 days later this is what my hair looks like. I'll zoom on my phone the dates. I'm in Hawaii. I'm here with a company on. a. work. trip. I'm panicking. I ask my stylist what temporary stuff she used. It's from target for $12 which is fine! In reality we all know hair dye is cheaper than the stylist dying your hair at the salon right? Right. So I go to target, grab it and notice, it's only good for 1-3 washes. wtf? Makes sense. My hair is now blonde. But I'm sitting here in Hawaii for another week and am still shooting a couple more times. Best option, buy the product have my girlfriends help me and let's make the best of this. Whatever. The point is, why the hell wasn't I explained that? Why was not only me but my company lied to that my hair would stay this color for 8 weeks? Why was I charged a dye instead of a shampoo? Why did we go to a hair store to buy color conditioner if it wasn't even going to make a difference by the time my hair is washed the first time? It's a spray you get from Target that has the prettiest color but only stays in your hair for a wash if that's all you're really looking for. A one time in and out deal. But that's still not the problem! It's the charge and the ridiculous hair store run and the lie to not only me but my company. UPDATE: I tried working with them on an honest refund or adjustment to the next appointment and they offered 20% off my next purchase. For me, that didn't seem completely fair or honest. had a fine experience at JZ. My stylist in training did absolutely amazing on my hair but was offered no assistance or guidance by her teachers, as I was her first ever client. The teachers rushed me out as we finished up around 4:30 whilst they closed at 5:00. They instructed my stylist to let me leave with WET HAIR and not tone it because it was clear that the teachers did not want to stay past 5:00. It was my stylists first day ever working on someone alone, and instead of offering help, the teachers ignored her and were not even present on the floor. Other students at JZ came to help my stylist because it was so apparent that the teachers did not care. It's very clear as a client that the students are working very hard and they just do not have the right assistance from their teachers. Help should be most present when there is a client and we genuinely felt neglected. read more

This place is holding classes during covid with zero mask or social distancing policies. Classes (indoors) where there are 50-100 people sitting right next to each other with no masks or safety measures. Fancy studio with poorly trained stylists. The cut was uninspired. After discussing the look I wanted, my stylists said, "how do you want me to cut it?" Flusters, I explained that I couldn't explain how the look I wanted was achieved. Her response: "How am I supposed to cut your hair if you don't tell me how?" Yikes. This salon only does highlights with bleach (some of the team had never even heard of any other way). This is a very old and harsh technique; no stylist has used bleach on my hair for at least 10 years. My stylist said, "they didn't teach that in beauty school" -- and she graduated many years ago! So that tells me that the standards of this salon are fairly low. Apparently stylists at this salon don't continue their education beyond beauty school. If I wanted a beauty school cut I could go to Great Clips and save $100. read more

My hairstylist ordered extensions from this company- this was my first time using their hand-tied hair extensions and I was very excited. My stylist installed them like normal and I was happy with how they looked. However, two to three days after install, my head started flaking and burning/itching where the band was sitting. I thought maybe it was winter dandruff and got some medicated dandruff shampoo and used as directed. However, the burning sensation wouldn't go away and a rash appeared wherever the band would sit- whether my hair was up or down. Eventually, my scalp was flaking, itching and occasionally bleeding from irritation. I went to my stylist and asked her to take them out immediately. I contacted customer service, explained what happened and requested a refund- which I would have been satisfied with. Instead they insisted that my stylist may have installed them incorrectly, that the "mustache" was probably the issue, and I should reinstall them for another six weeks at a rate of $200. This was insane, the mustache was fully conditioned, it wasn't the part that was irritating me, I already told them it was the band. When I told them I didn't want to reinstall the hair as I was worried about my scalp, they stopped responding. I understand that maybe my scalp was just sensitive but I spent a significant amount of money on these extensions, they caused me significant pain and suffering- therefore any reputable company would have understood and refunded the money I paid into them. read more

This salon has the worst custom service I've ever experienced in my entire life. The owner is a stuck up brat who yelled at me in front of everyone in the salon and made me cry. My boyfriend had bought me extensions as a present and spent over $700+ on them. After not even a week or 2 they started RIPPING out of my head and my hair was falling out. My natural hair and the extensions weren't even blended. When I came in and asked for a refund because I was extremely upset we spent this much money on hair that was ruining my natural hair- they refused and instead blamed me for it. After all this I just wanted these extensions out of my hair because they were so awful. They then CHARGED me to have them removed after half my hair fell out. DO NOT go to this salon. Bad customer service, and whatever they use to put the extensions in ruins your hair. I would not recommend this place to absolutely anyone. When my boyfriend tried to call them the lady on the phone yelled at him and treated him like complete crap!! I almost got my lawyer involved and wanted to take legal action because they were that bad but then decided it wasn't worth it. Horrible horrible horrible!! Absolutely horrible customer service for what may have just been a faulty product. I purchased hundreds of dollars worth of what I thought was quality extensions. Jamie refused to be of any help for my hair extensions that myself and my extension specialist here in Arizona know is NOT normal nor a quality product. After having extensions for 2+ years, I tried JZ Styles extensions. I had never had any issues with my previous hair until it was about 9-12 months when it started showing wear... with JZ styles it was noticeable after a week or two and by my two month lift, we brought it to the attention of JZ Styles and Jamie. The hair I received started breaking and splitting, quickly after installed. It was and is extremely dry and brittle, we had to cut off 2 inches at 8 weeks and another 2 inches four weeks later... just so it didn't look absolutely horrible. We are taking them out next week at 16 weeks as they just are not even salvageable. I am constantly having to put it up in a but or a braid so it doesn't look like a frizzy split mess. We simply asked to have them replaced as it was clearly not right. We sent pictures and full description and I was expected to remove the hair and send it in "to be looked at"... in the meantime I would have to buy all new hair extensions and just hope they would honor the backing of their products. I am now going to have to get new hair and be out alot of money and time. When I send it back, at my expense, I will be filing a report with the better business bureau as well as small claims court. BE WARNED... The quality and texture is horrible and I would never recommend this product or this business to anyone!! read more
