We did our homework and called a couple of places to get prices and ideas and picked Rye Beach Landscaping. We made arrangements with Ben Groves to visit our home. He showed up and asked us what was it that we were looking for, clearly a GREAT listener. When my wife was done explaining what she wanted, he offered a couple of suggestions on helping to accomplish what we wanted. He gave us several options and said he would go back to his office and email us some prices. He got right back to us and explained to us all our options. He was easy to work with and very flexible with any changes. Even with some things we wanted he clearly explained ways to make the job less expensive if we wanted to save money. Never did he ever try to up sell anything. He even came back with his foreman to measure and discuss our project to be sure everything we wanted could be done. He gave us a final quote and said once we paid a deposit we would be put on the schedule. We did that and after about a month of giving the deposit the job is done. It took about 1 week to do and we just LOVE the outcome and all the people who worked on the job. Ben always kept us informed as the job was being done what we could expect. Bryce, the person from the company who was our foreman, we could not have asked for a better person. Each day he came to the house (with others) he would tell my wife what to expect and what he was doing. He never complained and never stopped working.....WOW! As our project was being done, my wife continued to work with Ben and added more landscaping to be done as things were coming together. Again, Ben worked with us to hear what we wanted and offer suggestions. On top of the stonework we did a granite light post and mailbox as well as some plants, shrubs and trees. We can not say how happy we are with the work and NEVER felt being taken advantage of. Ben was so fair and never tried to sell us something we didn't want. So refreshing. OVERPRICED AND POOR QUALITY ! STAY AWAY. Steve LeMay gave us a quote last fall of $5,000 for fill…read moreand $3,000 to loam and seed our side and back lawn. This spring his crew came to do the work. The fill was delivered but was not put where I had wanted it. Steve told me he could NOT move the fill and that I would have to pay more for additional fill. He delivered and spread more fill and I paid him a total of $6,750, which is $1750 more than what he quoted, telling me he had given me a discount. He left my paved driveway covered in sand, ruts all the way across my front lawn from his skid steer loader, and ruts over the back lawn. I was then informed that the 4 inches of loam he quoted at $3,000 was now going to cost $12,000. Needless to say, I was outraged. I decided to hire someone else to loam the yard. I was quoted $2,800 elsewhere for 6 inches of loam with grass seed. Unfortunately, the other company could not do the job for 8 weeks and no other company could come out sooner. I was told the fill I bought from Steve LeMay was double what I should have paid. Since then more than half of the poor quality fill (very fine grain powder-like sand instead of thicker sand that stays in place) that was delivered has washed away and the front, side and back lawn look terrible. I now have a $6,500 loan with interest to pay back which isn't easy since I am on Disability. I am devastated. Do NOT hire these people ! The first photo is of my front lawn before We Dig It ruined it. The rest is what Steve refers to as his quality workmanship. DO NOT HIRE THIS BUSINESS !

I ordered 20 yards of three-quarter minus and what showed up was 11 yards. Now that was mapped out with a Commercial GPS while it was in a pile and I got around 12 yards. After I put it in the ground, I could tell exactly what it was from how deep by the square footage which is very simple and that's where I found he had only delivered me 11.5 yards instead of 20 I called and tried to explain there might be a mistake but just like every other post on here where someone complains they do not apologize and they make you the consumer feel dumb and tell you that you don't know what you're talking about... . Please go and do what I did,get your dirt or whatever you need delivered to your house from Dirt Dr 603-229-3200 they are fabulous. I've ordered multiple things and every time they've dropped off exactly the amount that I ordered. I expect a review back from the owner with some kind of excuse on how I don't know what I'm doing and how it's anything but their fault... Buyer beware!!!! Be very careful!!!! And remember, we're not talking about one or 2 yards we're talking about almost half of what I ordered so that's a big discrepancy, but I'm sure they'll blame it on me.

What was done did not match the invoice, which is in part my fault for not asking them to change it. They fixed my steps and completed the drainage system, which so far is working fine thank god. We have yet to have a really big rain storm but so far so good. Maybe I can now get rid of the sandbags in front of my driveway! My security system monitored their progress and the more experienced gentleman really showed care in his work, and mentored the younger crew on the right way to get things done so it looked professional. I would use them again, but do the following prior: Contact dig safe which is free to find any buried cables or electrical. Rope off ahead of time the leach fields so they won't drive over them. (Not that they did on my property, just smart to do). Ensure the invoice matches exactly what you agreed to for legal reasons prior to making a payment. 7/29/18 So it's been a couple months and I love the work. The drainage is outstanding and I no longer have to worry about being at work and hearing about a freak down pour in the area! Thank you guys!

They removed my ancient cracked driveway and laid in a smooth new hot top that looked gorgeous and made plowing a breeze in the winter. In the early part of 2019 we experienced some trouble with runoff from rainfall which flooded my basement, and in the spring I discovered some sinkhole issues near the house which I fixed. This week, the Patterson family called to announce they were coming out to resurface my entire driveway to fix the angle of rain runoff. Today, they did! Once again-- it looks splendid and it's clear that the rainfall will flow the correct way off my driveway. They examined the sinkhole and did a 1st class professional fix. The Pattersons are a jolly bunch and work as a team. So! Happy ending!

I had many loads of fill brought in to level out parts of the land I was adding driveway to and Ken Jr. was very careful not to disrupt either of the garage foundations. When the entire team came to pave the driveway, they were meticulous in their prep and edge finish work. The pavement looks amazing and should last for years to come. you can easily tell they take pride in their work.
