When I arrived to pick her up, I was absolutely shocked to find that she had been completely shaved. This is not only negligent but demonstrates a serious lack of understanding of proper grooming for this breed. Shaving a Sheltie is harmful and can cause permanent coat damage, skin irritation, and increased risk of sunburn and heat stress. My dog is a beautiful, lively Sable Sheltie, and now she looks and feels nothing like herself. I am extremely upset and disappointed with the service I received. For reference, it is never appropriate to shave a Shetland Sheepdog. Their double coat serves to regulate temperature, protect from sun and moisture, and insulate against both heat and cold. Shaving removes this essential protection and can cause irreversible harm. I provided explicit instructions for a trim and brush-out only, so I am at a loss as to how this happened. I will be posting a detailed review with before and after photos. I have had her at this groomer before and it was done properly. I don't know if I can trust to bring her back again. If I could give negative stars I would.

He is a larger dog and absolutely hates getting his nails trimmed, fought like crazy when I first brought him in almost a year ago, and to complicate things further he also has aggression towards other dogs. Heidi completely understood his fear and has been the most patient, kind, understanding, and calm person to help him get over his fear I have ever met. He now sits relatively quiet when she does his nails, she has been such a wonderful, calming presence to help my guy get over his fears. I love how they genuinely care about the needs of the pets.
