They asked questions about my hair, how I usually style it, if I use any products, and gave suggestions based on my hair type and face shape. That made me feel comfortable and confident. But this time, I got an older barber whose name I couldn't even find on the shop website. The whole haircut felt rushed and uncomfortable. He barely talked to me and mostly just spoke Spanish with another barber the entire time. He only asked me what I wanted, and when I asked if he had any recommendations or suggestions for my hair type, he didn't really help at all. He even asked me to show him a picture, so I had to pull out my phone and search TikTok inside the shop just to show him the side style I wanted. I only said I wanted the sides shorter, but instead of giving advice or explaining what would fit me best, he just grabbed a section of my hair and said "2 inches," then started cutting. I trusted this shop because of the high ratings and because my previous experiences were good, so I honestly thought every barber here would give professional consultation and recommendations. Unfortunately, this haircut ended up not matching my preference, my hair texture, or even my face shape. Parts of my hair were left uneven -- half long and half short -- and overall I left really disappointed.

Don't lie about it. If you can't then I'll move on. But when you wait until you're in the middle of the cut to realize you don't know what you're doing, that's not acceptable. Did you think I wouldn't notice what a mess you made of it? I was actually speechless when she turned that chair around. But I was a good sport about. I told her I didn't like it but she could just stop. I paid for it and even gave her a tip. But please know I'll never come back. Just be honest and pass up on that one haircut. Common trait in these overpriced hair salons, your barber will most likely try to start a conversation with you, which is probably the reason for the extra price you are paying for. Honestly, I would've rather have a 30 min of silence and a reduced price then that blatant example of a forced conversation. As for the haircut itself. She messed up.
