Had a great experience at Huey's! Walked in and was greeted promptly by Albert. He was super easy to talk to and clearly knew what he was doing the entire time. This is a high end salon quality haircut at an affordable price. At the end, I even got to meet Pamela, the owner, who was very nice and excited to know why I stopped in. I'm glad I did and will continue to return. PS: Cash is better than a card here! read more

Weird woman barber made me wait outside while she gave a haircut to my friend. Super rude and unprofessional. Didn't ask if I wanted to get a hair cut or anything, just slammed the door in my face. I can't believe this place has any business. read more

The best haircut in the free world! Get to the choppa and the staff is Covid conscious

If you are looking for Keith former barber at Pavilion Barbers look no further come on in and see me

Made me wait outside while my underage son got his hair cut. Dark windows. Can't see in. Too weird. The haircuts are okay but that's a ridiculous rule. So I could wait outside in the 45 degree weather or sit in my car and wait. Bad idea. We won't be back. I don't think "Huey" is here anymore. Now owned by some lady with ridiculous rules. Don't separate parents from their kids for a stupid haircut. Too many other great places to go. read more

The only place my son will let me take him to get his hair cut. Pamela is great and remembers my son every time we come in. We like the later hours she keeps as we can get him in there after school/baseball. read more

Huey's Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Richardson, Texas

Hueys barber shop... walking in you may not think it's the best place for a fade but Pamela blessed me with the cut Definitely a hidden gem barber shop... will be returning read more

I'll give it 2 stars because it's cheap and the guys are nice. But I came here because the reviews were great and the price was cheap but you get what you pay for. Maybe it was just the man who cut my hair but they have no idea how to blend a fade. I look like I got a school house haircut with a hard fade line done by a day one barber. Why is it so hard these days to find a good haircut that doesn't cost $45 ? P.s. This was my first visit and I was charged $20, so the first time $8 thing was either a limited offer or a lie. I also saw another reviewer say that a men's haircut here was $11.99. Obviously also a lie because I was charged $20 read more

I have been going to Huey's for the last 10 years and he is the best around. When you walk into his shop it is walking into the past. All of the chairs are 1940's style chairs that gives it the classic feel. Huey and his men give great hair cuts and they are great to talk to. They treat you like a close friend. One of the best things I like about Huey's is that they use a straight edge razor to trim you which feels great and makes you look better. If you are looking for a barber then this is the place for you! read more

Good haircut at a great price. My first time there. Went in looking like Captain Caveman, came out looking mighty handsome and respectable. I'll be back. read more

My Dad and I have been going to Huey's Barber Shop since 1972. There is no other place that we would go. Larry Honea is the only person that has ever cut my hair since the age of 4, and I will continue to go to Huey's until he retires. I now take my 3 sons to Larry. My Dad used to have his hair cut by Huey, and then switched over to Larry upon Huey's retirement. Larry is by far the best barber in town. Pamela seems nice, but Larry is the heart and soul of this shop. If you need a great haircut, go to Huey's and wait for Larry. read more

Poor customer service and no communication. Waited forever, OUTSIDE, to find out that you can't get a cut and beard trim cause you have to wear a mask the entire time you're getting a cut. read more

Pam said Larry has left for retirement. He was a cut above for the last 40 years and will be missed.

I was in dire need of a haircut as the gal that cut my hair for the past 14 years moved back to Louisiana so I had been hitting the major chains getting it cut and never really to my satisfaction. Huey's is on the opposite side of Central Expressway from my shop on Greenville Ave. I went there to drop of Pamela's receipt for some work I had done for her and decided to get my hair cut before I left. Great job on my hair cut and even got a straight razor shave on the back of my neck. The new towel warmer is supposed to be in this week which should make the visits even better. If you are looking for a place to get your hair cut I suggest giving Huey's a try. read more

Fantastic cut and one of the the only old-time barbers left in the metroplex. Huey is skillful and understands exactly what you want in a cut. He's owned the shop since the late 60's and his experience shows. Great conversation, great cut (and straight razor shave). I won't be visiting a chain cut shop ever again. Remember to bring cash or check as they don't accept card. read more

this place is trash. yelp says i need to write more so i'll go ahead and write a little more. this place is HELLA trash. overpriced and the barbers have no idea what tf they are doing. read more

I have been on the search for an "old time" barber shop for months. A place that has real barber chairs - not those tiny wedge your rear into them chairs at most new places. I also am tired of clippers being used to trim my neck. I wanted it shaved. Well Huey's is the answer. It is a very small place, not new but I was warmly greeted when I walked in the door and my haircut was one of the best since my childhood days. I will be a long time customer of this fine establishment. read more

Best barber left in DFW! Takes time to get to know you and does a good job.

I was back in town visiting family and needed a cut so I decided to give Huey's a shot. Stopped by and had the best haircut I've had in many years. Got all the lines right, clippers were super sharp and used a straight razor where the ear meets the head as well as the neck. Waited about 10 minutes and she kept apologizing because she said she never likes anyone to have to wait. I'll come here every time I'm back! read more

I went and there was only 1 barber present. He was just wrapping up another client and I was quick to get in the seat next. Cool atmosphere and decor. I sat down and explained exactly what I was looking for, as I have been getting the exact same haircut for 3+ years with a beard trim and line up. Well, needless to say what I ended up with was nothing I explained to the gentleman cutting my hair. If you have a beard, atleast when he goes to trim it he only uses a clipper and won't line it up. Clearly he didn't listen, and I knew when he said we were done 15 min after he started, there was no trying to get it fixed. If you are looking for a little off the top or a flat top, this is prob your spot. If your looking for a good skin fade, hard part, and solid beard trim and lineup, stay away!!! I went to a diff barbershop the next day and they did a phenomenal job at fixing what the barber at Huey's couldn't do or chose not to do. read more

First time in 15 years at a barber shop (I cut my own hair). Decided to indulge and get a haircut before vacation. Great folks and a great haircut. I'm going to go ahead a get a cut at Huey's more often. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Guy cut me and cause me to bleed with the straight blade and couldn't cut a fade, but was willing to try and screw it up. Never Go! Save your money. read more

Let me start by saying I have been going here since 1992. I don't live local anymore but if I'm in town on leave, active duty Marine, I will only have Larry cut my hair. Larry can cut a fade and anything else you need . He is a very experienced barber and the only one there I trust to cut my hair. If/when Larry retires I will not go back to Huey's again. I had one of the other guys cut my hair once and that was enough as he did a horrible job of a fade. The shop has changed ownership and they kept the name in hopes to not loose the customer base it has with it. read more

Huey's is the best around. Always greets you by your first name. Always willing to have a friendly conversation about what's important to you. I've been going to Huey's for 35 years (actually use Larry as my barber). My son's gone there since he was one (he's 25 now) and my grandson will soon have his first haircut up on the high stool in those old barber chairs. This is a barber shop where men get their haircut by true professionals who know there craft and provide the best service you can get. You can't and won't go wrong a Huey's. read more

Just want to update some of these reviews. Huey recently sold the shop and has retired. None of the originals are their anymore. Still a good shop, but not quite what it used to b read more

Don't ever allow the woman working there cut your hair she is a butcher. It's like she's clueless how to cut hair. Man did I get ripped off.

Love this place great hair cuts and good conversation. As described in the other reviews it is an more of an 'old timer' place but the hair cuts are great and no one can beat a straight razor shave to make sure everything looks crisp. Beware that they only accept cash or check read more

My old barber retired and I've had no luck finding a replacement. It's been one bad haircut after another. This place isn't much different. I've tried this place twice and had similar results with each person. They care more about speed than quality, even when there isn't anyone waiting. They just don't have the attention to detail that I'm looking for in a barber. For the quality the price is too high, too. If you're looking for good conversation though, this is the place. Huey's a great guy, but a so-so barber. read more

These men are actual Barbers who know how to cut all kinds of hair. Not your regular cookie cutter chain business that you see on every corner street. The only cutter they use at those places are electric trimmers and believe me it shows. The gentlemen at the shop have been cutting great for years. The place is a bit old fashoined, but if you don't like that, don't let that keep you away, you still get a Awesome cut. They cut using all the proper tools a real barber should use. I'm saying this and I'm in my 20s. read more

A great traditional barber. Good conversation. Great advice on where to get things or contractors to hire. Clippers. Scissors. Clean up with a straight razor and warm shaving cream. read more

We return to Huey's place this time with our daughter to have her hair done with Ms. Roxann. She did a nice clean cut that my daughter really liked. Ms. Roxann is very sweet and pleasant.
