Never disappointed. Because of my "busy life", It's hard for me to commit to an appointment so I normally drop in as a walk-in. I don't have a particular or go-to barber at this location and am completely comfortable sitting with any of the barbers here. I've observed during my visits and they all take their craft very seriously and do a dam good job. Not once have I left unhappy with my haircuts. Their online booking feature is perfect! Barbers have always been respectful, professional, and welcoming. The shop itself is always clean. The dynamic between barbers is great- they all seem to get along well which creates a positive experience for everyone. Stop looking around for a barbershop and give Dapper Barber & Co a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

They're cheap & usually have an open chair. That being said enter at your own risk. Remember these kids are students and each students excels at different level so the skills of your assigned barber will vary for person to person. I'll be honest my head got fucked up. I paid $10 so I shouldn't have expected much lol. I normally cut my own hair but didn't have the patience to do it after work on a Friday night so I swung by. They're very friendly accommodated me on short notice. They also observe their posted hours which not all spots do now days. You can pay more to have an instructor do it and it won't break the bank. I was shocked to see how some barbers charge $40+ ! I've been cutting my own hair for so long that I fell out of the loop. Last time I had a cut I paid like 15 but it's been a minute so that's my bad. Check the spot out, know what you want, and be vocal with your barber let him know what's up. read more

I got to sit on a couch and wait, as a bunch of cool-boys bull$hit and cuss in the company of a little boy who was waiting for his Dad. Clowns. Not one these cool-boys said a word to me, from entering and during my wait. This joint had zero professionalism. Although, if you're a very cool guy that loves his reflection and wants pretty lines and designs in your hair, go there, you'll love it. read more

Went and got a hair cut from here. Walked in and got Carlos. They talked and cussed the whole time between the barbers. My barber smelt like straight weed. I asked for a hard part and he didn't even finish it.. come to find out he burned my head and then tried to hide it with hair paint. My wife noticed the paint right after the hair cut. Wasn't worth even fighting over. Don't go here. He also shaved part of my head and used the paint to try and hide that also. Here's a picture after day one of my new scab. read more

Haven't given this place a review but I've been going here since 2014. The owner of this business keeps only the best around and teaches everyone by example. Walk in with my son for a hair cut around 2pm.. two barbers sitting on the couch with their cellphones, empty place and they told me it was only by appointments?? Really? Guys... on this time you should keep keep everything you can not everyone can afford a $30 dollars haircut. So sad.. and it's a new place!! I will stick with the guys from #razors read more

Really a nice place to come relax and have great haircuts! I've been there for more than 5 times, and every time I came out of the place looking nice and clean! For the first 3 times I let random barbers cut my hair, as I was like you guys, new customers, to know who fits me best. All of them did great, and I appreciate it. Jerry has been my barber for the last 2 times, he did amazing! Took me almost an hour everytime to finish, which may seem long but it's totally worth the time. Money is a bit more pricey than other places, I get it, but it's worth sitting for an hour and have your hair finished by these experts Definitely recommend for those who like trending haircuts (mine is faded-comb over). All the barbers here are great, polite. You just need to find one whose style fits you most, and then get the job done. Look up "Dapper Barber & Co" in Instagram, you'll see the variety of haircuts. read more

If zero stars was an option it would definitely be getting zero stars. I had my appointment set showed up, waited, waited and continued to wait. No one ever bothered to acknowledge me as I was waiting. When I finally decided to ask someone what's up they told me to continue to wait. And hour and a half later I decided to just leave. Worst experience ever! read more

I've been here a couple of times and Chris and Magik have done my hair. I think they both did really good. Chris was really fun and upbeat while Magik was a little more serious, but I could tell he was a good guy and friendly either way. My wife really liked the way Magik did my hair, but I think it was a little long on the front. She really liked the masterfully blended fade. I liked how Chris got it short, but my wife thought it was just too short. Sure enough though, wait a week and it's perfect. I think he did a great job on the fade and he took his time. The place is interesting. They do take appointments, but they also do walk ins. I highly recommend getting an appointment. I haven't had to wait when I did, but I saw some other folks waiting 45 minutes and Chris told me that there was a line of 10 guys waiting for them to open. They got Husky brand tool chests... nice ones with solid wood tops for the stations. There's animal trophies on the wall and a brick facade interior. It's like a big hall, and reminds of a larger old-fashioned barber shop. The owner is in regularly and makes sure everything runs smoothly. They're organized, and EVERYONE, even the other stylists I watched, has an incredible eye for detail. You bet I'm going back. read more

Fade Father Jessie is the truth. He provides the best customer service and his work is spectacular! Totally recommend Dapper Barber & Co.

First time here for my son. On a Sunday afternoon we got a barber right away. The ambiance was chill with good music (no profanity), clean, and man cave style without the sports in your face attitude. The dear head on the wall and Jimmy Dean painting on a faux brick wall gave it rugged but cool feel. Loved that all the barber stations were Husky tool organizers. You walk in and enter your information on an iPad at the front desk. Prices start at $20 for walk-in and $25 for appointment. But $20 is just basic haircut. If they pick up the sheers it goes up to $25. This would be the only improvement I would recommend, to let the customer know how much before they start. The barber also heard me and recommended hair style based on my son's hair. Final product was good. The style was a little different to what I usually get for him, but I came in wanting something different. The fade was good, no lines. The barber's attention to detail was appreciated and he treated my son as a kid, which some barbers forget. Overall I really liked the hair cut, and so am giving them five stars. read more

Talented barbers, but MAKE AN APPT! Their online waitlist appt system is crap. Got an automated message telling me to "hurry back" bc it was almost time for my haircut, i did and waited for an HOUR. I asked for an update and was told it could be ANOTHER HOUR. They're busy bc they are good at what they do. But they need some IT help forreal Edit: upsets me even more that practically every negative review i just read is literally the same complaint. To the owner - Just take the walk-in function off the site already and your rating will rise as less people will waste their day read more

I rated this place a 5 stars before, but I am compelled to change my review I will never returned here. I booked 3 appointments for me and my two sons with two barbers. One showed up 20 minutes late and the other NEVER showed. Then the other barbers stared around at each other all wondering what to do. This place absolutely needs to spend some money on a front desk person. I watched people come in, were stared at, and have to hunt someone down to figure out what's going on. And barbers don't care about setting appointments, let alone someone else's appointments. Put the right people in the right job. I ended up leaving, which costed the company $100 today and about $1200 per year. read more

I have been to the Dapper Barber several times. Let me start out by saying my barber Manny does a great job. The issue for me is the lack of scheduling and administrative assistance. I have on at least 2 occasions went in for an appointment and my barber was either double booked or not there at all. In my opinion this is disrespectful and unacceptable. One time at the Plano location this happened and they put me with a stylist that literally took over 2 hours on a simple hair cut and in my opinion I looked like I had mange. I went back in and found manny who fixed it... I still paid. Later I found out that one of the owners started the shop and he was one of a couple that was not new and that there were several others with similar issues. Today I drove in for a appointment that I booked weeks in advance and found out that they switched the barber on me as mine was off today(again I booked with my barber weeks ago). To make things worse the person they booked me with (Jimmy)was not even there. I am very busy and I live 30 min away. I moved things around to make this appointment and drove there and back wasting a hour commute for absolutely no reason. If you go here make sure you call before you go to make sure you have a appointment, and if you do make sure you know who it is. There are new people working into the business like all places but like all new people you may not like the result if you take a chance. A message to Peter the owner. This is really frustrating to your customers. The minute you become to good to take care of us is the time you lose your edge. Today was not a good experience. read more

Ill admit I was very excited to come to Dapper Barber & Co. I saw all the reviews and knew it would match my urban/trendy style. I was looking for a new up-scale Barber Shop to come to since moving to the Dallas/Garland area. I am also a very busy person (I own my own business, do freelance writing, and a single-dad. I made my appointment for 1:30 PM, and got the confirmation email. I arrived at exactly 1:29 and attempted to check in. There was an issue, but the guy running the counter got me checked in and said I'd be next. By 2:15, I was still waiting... over 8 guys had come in, and I had not been checked on once. I found it odd that when I left, I wondered (this is something I NEVER jump to), "I wonder if it was because I was white, and the majority of clients were Hispanic/Latino." I found it odd this evening that it seemed another person felt the same way. The upper management of this store needs to seriously revisit the culture and the procedures of the staff. I am never disappointed enough to leave negative reviews (I feel there is too much negativity in this world already). But, with my experience today and the absolute lack of professionalism, lack-luster attempts at being a "high-end barbershop," that sadly crashed and burned at the good looking interior. Very, very disappointed and hope some management sees this and takes some advice to re-think how they treat all customers. All the best, read more

ANYONE LGBTQ should NOT come here! I just left this place on 2/18/23 @ 4:15pm Barber: ALI. This dude has been cutting my hair but today AFTER my cut that was a reservation that was accepted. Met me out the front doors to tell me he couldn't cut my hair anymore due to religious reasons and practicing Muslim. He was complete trash and told me he "can't touch a woman other than my wife" but proceeded to call me SIR. You damn well know its because Im non binary. Fuck this place and YOU. read more

After my haircut with Randy I walked out of the shop so confident, no lie, I went to the club that night and hit on every girl I saw. Randy is my barber but my friends have gotten cuts with the other guys and they seem badass too. I like this place better than razors & starcity barbers. The place is the newest and biggest shop in the area. Dapper just has all this new equipment I haven't seen anywhere else and the lighting is on point. The place is just huge. Nice to see all the eye candy walking in and out of fitness connection next door. Love the barbershop environment and it's funny to hear everyone shoot the shit. This shop made me feel comfortable and the atmosphere is laid back and detailed with luxury amenities. I'm glad I finally found a place that kills it with Asian hair. read more

I called the location to ask him how long was the wait. They informed me there is no wait for walk-ins. When I arrived there were 3 people waiting and 6 barbers cutting. Mostly all barbers had clients that had appointments. None of the barbers were cutting for walk-ins. I sat there for more than a hour so that I can get a cut but as the barbers appointments finished they just starting packing up and leaving. No one had the courtesy to inform me that I will not be able to get a haircut. My issue is that what kind of professional business will say that walk-ins are welcome but they don't have barbers to cut for walk-ins. False information is not good for any business. I had to attend a function and I couldn't depend on this business to do a job. Very unpleasant and not professional at all. read more

My son needed a hair cut. Went in after checking in online (notified we were 3rd on the list via text). When arrived, was told we would be up "next" but waited for 20 minutes as 5 other gentlemen walked in and got into chairs before my son, making us "last" on the list. Others kept coming in and noone ever checked on us or gave an update to let us know what was going on. Not sure if this was a race thing as we were the only non-Latinos to come in? Any rate, decided to leave and go somewhere else. Just came into town for a wedding and needed something last minute, and it's a Sunday. Time was not on our side to drive around hunting for barbers that were open and could get us in. Found another barber with 1/2 as many barbers on the floor but were definitely keeping to their list for walk-ins and everyone seems friendlier. read more

I saw someone recommend this place on social media and decided to give it a try. I read some of the reviews regarding scheduling but figured it was just a few people. I booked an appointment about a day and a half in advance and got a cancellation notice at 1:56 AM the day of. I understand things happen but this seems to be a recurring issue based on some reviews. I hate to leave a one star rating but this soured my experience before it even started. People make plans around scheduled appointments. Today is the second time going to this barber shop. Great haircut the first time but today I went in with enough time to get a beard trim and the works. Random luck of the draw I got Jimmy. I went with the haircut, beard trim and hot towel shave. Straight up the best haircut experience I have ever had, and at my age that's pretty good. It is a little bit of a drive but I will be going back here from here on out, I would drive twice the trip I make now to get this good of a hair cut. If you are used to Super Cuts or something you have no idea what you are missing. My son has gone to a couple of the other barbers and all are good, so you can't go wrong. read more

Update! I just wasted over an hour as a walk in trying to get my hair cut at this place. I checked in and received my confirmation text at 10:55. Fifteen minutes later I received another text that it was almost my turn. I watched as walk in after walk in got serviced before me for an hour. The reason I know it wasn't a mistake that I was overlooked was because the barbers were talking about who gets to go next based on difficulty of hair cut. I heard things like.. hey man are you a walk in? Great what do you want done? One guy even said I think christopher (me) is next and the other was like, nah let's get this other guy. Once I saw at least five walk ins get serviced before me. I just left. I'm super disappointed. I got a great haircut here as a walk in. I loved that the barber didn't try to talk my ear off but let me relax and just enjoy the haircut. I've received several compliments on it and that fade it on point. I will return in a month. read more

I Got a haircut here once at the Garland location and was pleased. The guy that cut my hair did a good job, however the customer service with these people sucks. I've tried booking a haircut four times through their automated system and my haircut appointment would always get declined the day before the haircut or a few hours before, which completely messed up my plans. I tried messaging them and got no response. These barbers seem to really not value other people's time. There's a common trend with today's barbers having a superiority complex and this place is no exception. I guess too many IG followers will easily get you big headed. Find yourself a barber that values customer service and most importantly your time. read more

First of all, my hair is very coarse and hard to maintain so there isn't a lot of places that knows how to deal with it. I've been to 2 other places before coming here. Made an appointment with Manny and told him and showed him what i wanted on their Instagram page and he went to work. Manny did an amazing job cleaning me up. It was $25 and I don't mind paying that price if I know someone who can take care of my hair. Definitely recommend Manny and definitely going to come back. Edit: This didn't bother me. But they were playing country music in there which a little weird cause the vibe and environment in there was definitely like a hip hop and pop place. read more

I went to Dapper Barber & Co for the first time today and Pico was my barber. He did such a great job! Really excellent attention to detail and spent what I felt was a generous amount of time on my hair. I am very happy with my haircut and will be back for another cut with Pico. The most expensive haircut, never again. Came in, the other barbers seemed busy but one guy. He spoke broken English. That's fine, doesn't bother me. I don't typically do fancy hair cuts, normally I'd ask to shorten my hair, that's it. But this time I wanted to do something nice, showed him a few pictures of a cut I like. Periodically he would use his fingers to compare both halves of my head, which was a first. I could tell the job was bad without even looking in the mirror. I was this close to pulling a Karen and not paying but I didn't. Tipped him $4 and left. $32 down the drain. read more

The cut was really good. However, I had suffer through stories from barber to barber about chasing after girls and getting into fights. They also accept card, but prefer cash. That is fine, however the barber didn't like that I didn't have cash and tried to charge me for the appointment cost instead of the walk-in cost and then went on to tell me how they only accept cash when I come back. Well, I won't be coming back. In the end, the cut was really good, but I want a barber I can trust that I can go to consistently. It just seems here that they are just concerned about immediate needs and not about building a clientele. read more
