Dr Lepp is a great chiropractor but it is absolutely criminal that he has fashioned himself as a functional medicine specialist, attempting to treat serious, mysterious and literally life-threatening diseases without a medical degree. He presents as incredibly knowledgeable upfront (when you don't know any better) so I devoted a great deal of time, money, trust and emotional energy into working with him. I was a healthy person until a few years ago when I started to get REALLY sick and discovered I had Hashimotos. I was in a rapid tailspin and like so many others with complicated and multiple autoimmune issues I proceeded to fall through the cracks of traditional medicine. Dr Lepp ran numerous expensive tests to determine the root cause of my degenerating health. He concluded that my biggest trigger was chronic stress. I fell for this. He prescribed a multitude of supplements (which cost me over $500 per month). I followed Dr Lepp's program diligently, however I continued to develop worsening and scary symptoms. I frequently reported back to him that I was not feeling better. I asked him about tests to dig deeper and/or altering the program? His response was to throw more and more supplements at me, while sticking to his refrain that the key to everything is "time and patience."
