If I could give this business zero stars, I would.
On October 2, 2026, we paid Justin Automotive in Justin, TX, $113.67 for the first oil change on our new 2026 Toyota Corolla. Everything below happened that same day, one step after another.
Within a couple hundred feet of leaving the shop, we heard scraping from under the car. We pulled over and found the skid plate loose and hanging. We drove straight back.
The manager confirmed that a screw was missing. He told us he had noticed it during the service and called out to an employee he was training to note it and tell us. No one told us. He said his checks after the service showed no leak.
From Justin Automotive, we drove directly to Lone Star Toyota of Lewisville. Their technicians documented oil on the skid plate and an active leak, photographed it, and corrected the problem. Lone Star Toyota specifically cited in their photos "last place did the oil change cause the leak [sic]."
We then called Justin Automotive to ask for a refund. An employee told us to come back in and we would get our money back. We returned. In person, the manager declined. He said that employee was not authorized to promise a refund, and that only two people were working that day while he trained a new employee. He acknowledged he should have followed up with us and said, "That is my fault." He offered a free future oil change, which we declined. He would not give us the owner's name.
Later that day, we emailed the shop, as directed by the manager, our photos and the dealership's findings and asked for a refund by October 13. We followed up on Facebook on October 5 and by phone. As of October 13, 2026, we have received only an automated Facebook reply. The owner has not responded.
In my opinion, a shop that finds a missing part on your car should tell you before you drive away. Justin Automotive did not, and it has not made it right. read more
