The instructor was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful, making sure we were happy with our designs every step of the way. Even if you're new to working with resin, everything is explained clearly and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Because the resin needs time to cure, boards are picked up at least 24 hours later. We haven't picked ours up yet, but we're already excited to see how they turned out based on how great the experience was. They also offer a wide variety of other classes, including acrylic and oil painting, paint pours, and more. We'll definitely be back to try another class--highly recommend for a fun, creative outing!

We met the owner (Jeannie), who was so nice and scheduled a private session for the three of us right after our surfing and before our bioluminescent kayaking. The studio has so much incredible artwork. Jeannie invited us to walk around and pick ideas of what we wanted to do. She prepped the canvases and everything while we surfed. When we returned for our lesson, Jeannie had everything set up for us and taught us how to paint a beach scene with grassy dunes, palm trees, and a dolphin jumping out of the water. All of us were impressed with what we were able to do, and came home with lasting painting techniques. When we were done, I was trying to decide how to get the paintings home since I prefer to carry on our luggage, and Jeannie offered to mail them to us. When they arrived, they came with an extra painting kit she gave us. I am SO SO SO thrilled that we stumbled upon this. Highly recommend!!! Oh, also--Jeannie is a cardiac nurse. She got into this by helping her patients recover by helping them through art. Incredible woman with an incredible story. Memorable experience for sure.

I also really liked the variety of the gift store. Items for all ages and interests. The cons- it's really small. Don't plan on this visit taking up more than 2 hrs, especially with small kids who are only interested in looking and not reading facts lol. Also, the fun zone left a lot to be desired. The games are really outdated and there was no one there to assist in the reptile area. Overall it was a good experience but not a place I see the need to go to more than once

The customer service? Next level. Like, if friendliness were a sport, they'd have a trophy case. I picked up some beef liver (because I make bold life decisions), and my husband spotted a sandwich special. We teamed up like true food strategists and split a Turkey Avocado on Rye with chips. Zero regrets--10/10 would share again. While casually pretending I knew what I was doing near the steak section, I found something called "Drunken Steaks." Obviously, we adopted one--a NY strip--and cooked it that night. It was so good I briefly considered writing it a thank-you note. AND THEN... plot twist: FREE BEER. I don't even drink much, but I'm not about to disrespect free. I asked for a half cup like a responsible adult. The butcher, however, was on a mission to make sure we *didn't* leave sober. Respect. By the end, we were stuffed, happy, and slightly questioning our self-control. Long story short: came for the meat, stayed for the vibes, left planning our return.

While wandering historic downtown Cocoa I discovered the stately Porcher House in Cocoa Riverfront…read morePark. As a fan of historic architecture, this is a gem worth checking out. In front of the home is a historic marker that is part of the Historical Marker Program, one of the Division of Historical Resources' most popular and valued public history programs. The markers raise awareness of Florida's cultural history while enhancing the enjoyment of historic sites for residents and tourists. The blue historic markers tell the stories of the people and places that were important to Florida's history and they can be found in front of schools, forts, roads, archaeological sites, battlefields, cemeteries, roads, churches, historic districts, and historic buildings like this one. Historic marker F-937 was installed in 2017 by Brevard County Historical Commission, The Brevard Heritage Council, The Brevard County Tourist Development Council, and the Florida Department of State. This impressive home is associated with Edward Porcher. As a young man he moved to Cocoa from South Carolina in the late 1800's. He and wife Byrnina Peck of Atlanta settled into Merritt Island where they raised their family and operated Deerfield Groves, a citrus farm. He was the first person to grade fruit for shipping, patented the first fruit stamping machine, and he invented a machine to wash the fruit. He was the founder of the Indian River Orange Growers Association. In 1962 he was inducted into the Florida Citrus Hall of Fame. Byrnina was the first postmistress on Merritt Island. In 1895 the Porcher family moved into a three story wood frame house where the Cocoa Civic Center is now located. Construction on the Porcher's Neo Classical Revival home began in 1914 based on Mrs. Porcher's design. A special feature in front of the house are the stones that were cut to represent the suits of cards in a game of Bridge. The house was built from native coquina rock and included ten bedrooms, four and one-half baths, a partial basement, and an attic. The staircase is made of teak, the floor is oak, and the wainscoting and trim are cedar. The Porcher family moved into the grandest home in Cocoa on October 31, 1916. Portions of the house are original while others are restorations. No longer on the property are the porte-cochere on the north side, the Porcher's swimming pool, and the large packinghouse that was on the river bank behind the house. The packing house was used to process produce delivered by boat the family's groves on Merritt Island. Edward Porcher passes away in June 1939. Upon his death the house passed to his son Arthur who died the next month. The house became a hotel and then in 1945 the City of Cocoa purchased it and used it for City Hall. Money from city and state historic preservation grants were used to restore the Porcher House and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 6, 1986. Today the Porcher House can be rented for private events like weddings.

The house has been restored, but it is not furnished as a residence. Some of the rooms contain offices where you can reserve the house for an event, and arrange for catering. The front door latch is a bit hard to open, so try a little harder before giving up on it. Don't expect a guided tour of the house, but walk thru and have a look, when there is no wedding or reserved private event going on. There is an elevator to the second floor, with water fountain and restrooms nearby. Look out the first floor back porch to the river. Walk out the back and stroll to the river thru a park with an amphitheater. There is another park on the block that has swing sets for the younger folk. This Porcher House is next door to the civic center.

She was very accommodating and so easy to work with. She I decided to have the shoot at the same place I took my wedding engagement My maternity shoot was in a location she never shot before so she made sure to show up early to check out the site. By the time I arrived, she had already found some ideal shooting spots. A huge bonus with Liv is having access to her maternity dresses. There is no need to buy a dress you only plan to use for photos. I received so many compliments on the black maternity dress that I borrowed from her for my shoot. Liv made sure to get some amazing shots and she even waited for the sun to set to get a particular shot I wanted. After my maternity shoot, I knew I wanted to have Liv in my life forever. I promptly booked a newborn shoot. My son came nearly 2 weeks late but Liv was still able to accommodate our newborn/family shoot. I love that she offers in home options for her shoots. Liv arrived to my home right on time. She set up right in my living room and I was able to watch her work some magic. A family emergency prevented my husband from staying to complete the family portion of the shoot. Liv was so accommodating and focused on the newborn photos and allowed us to visit her home studio a few days later to complete the family portion. During the photoshoot, I was amazed to see Liv interact with my son. She has such a calming vibe and she may just be the most patient person I know. She is very good about being on the baby's schedule. My photos came back to me for proofing and the turnaround for final photos was quick. I paid $175 for 10 photos (Valentines Day special) + $10 per additional a la carte photo which I thought was a GREAT deal. Overall, amazing in all aspects! I HIGHLY recommend using her for your newborn photos! :)
