I absolutely love this place. It is a little pricey, but it's very worth it. Other places charge just as much, if not more for crap quality.
The beds: The owner changes the bulbs every 500 hours and you can tell because you feel like the light of God is in this tanning bed with you. I always get color when I tan here, no matter what lotion I use or how long I tan for. The beds are brand new and of very good quality, they're nice and roomy so you don't feel claustrophobic. The beds have fans and radios in them. You can control the volume of the radio and how high or low the fans are which I greatly appreciate. You can also turn the face bulbs off but you have to wait about 2 minutes to turn them back on, which is a feature I really like. You're also not timed to get undressed and put your lotion on. You turn the bed on which is awesome because I've done that dance where you're trying to get your clothes off and get your lotion on and then have the bed turn on and you still have half of your body to lotion up. The rooms each have a mirror, towels garbage can, spray deodorant and baby wipes. A lot of other places don't even have a mirror or a garbage can which really bothers me.
The staff: The staff is so nice and very informative. They can answer all of your questions and concerns. I like it because you can tell that the owner has taken the time to train her staff to know about tanning, levels, skin types, lotions, etc. They check your lotions to make sure they're suitable to use (the cheap ones will cause the acrylic to crack) and to see if you have eyewear. Some people may not like this, but I greatly appreciate that they take the steps to remain professional (we've all been to those salons with those girls that are just hanging out) and make sure they are following the rules and regulations of the state and also making sure that their beds are in the best condition and stay that way.They also don't seem bothered that you walked in and have now interrupted whatever important task they're trying to complete. They taught me to use the beds and all of that business which I really appreciated. Also, if there's a lotion that you want and they don't have it, they will order it for you, which I really appreciate.
Lotions: They carry all kinds of lotions, and like I said, if they don't have one you want, they will order it for you. The lotions are of average price compared to other salons, but they always have deals or sales going on for either lotions or packages or combined, like buy a lotion get a free session type of thing. They have boosters, bronzers, and after tan lotions.
The actual spa: Very clean and organized. I've never waited there, they have appointments and walk-ins. I've seen them clean the beds, they clean the bottom AND the top. They also tidy up the room and whatnot.
I highly recommend this place, it's the best in the area. I've been to several tanning salons and have been tanning off and on for over 5 years. I have psoriasis and it's much cheaper than a dermatologist and medication so I'm always trying to find the best lotion and salon. Like I said, it may seem a little pricey, but I guarantee if you go anywhere else, you will pay just as much, if not more, for crappy quality. read more
