And when I do, I always buy all the red bean donuts they have ready on their display. On my most recent visit(yesterday), they were almost sold out and only had 2 left! Oh I was so sad! But we ended up buying some pizza bread and cinamon buns anyways so that made me happy right away. My favorite part about all their bread is that it's super fresh and their red bean bun, which is a family favorite, is filled with a tons of super tasty red bean filling and the bread itself is soft and chewy. It does tend to be a bit oily, but I could care less! It's soooo good! The bakery is family owned and the owners care about their customers a lot. I have never been disappointed with their service. So I definitely recommend the Korean Bakery - there are lots of other bread options for everyone, not just the red bean bun (if you're not into red bean)!

Being able to order online and have it delivered was super convenient. And the cake - the CAKE! This was actually the best cake I've ever had in my entire life. It was beautiful to look at. I'd ordered a cake that isn't fully iced (the churro cake) so was a wee bit worried about it being dry. Not the case at all. I keep trying to describe it, but all of the adjectives just fall short. It was exactly the right taste and texture. Super moist, but not mushy. Smelled and looked amazing. 10/10 will be ordering for all of the special things!!

We came here with a couple of friends of ours whom we had come to Calgary to visit. The closest thing they have here to our beloved Vegan Croissant Breakfast sandwich is a Vegan Ham & Cheese Croissant. When I looked at it, it really wasn't jumping out at me. There were two other breakfast sandwich alternatives here and both of them were sandwiched between bagels rather than croissants. I prefer croissants but I do also like bagels and I don't eat bagels very often so I opted for the EBC which had vegan egg, bacon and cheese in it. This was pretty good. I especially enjoyed the taste of the vegan bacon in it. My daughter had the vegan Spinach Ricotta roll. I took a bite of it. Very impressed. Warm, flaky and it very much reminded me of Spanakopita. I think I'd order this for myself if I ever come back here again. For drinks we had Mango Matcha and Ube Chai. My Ube Chai came with some kind of Cinnamon flavored vegan whipping cream on top. I enjoyed my drink but didn't really taste much Ube in it. Mostly I tasted Cinnamon from the whipping cream. There was this big blue Cookie Monster cookie that was giving Cookie Monster Vibes. I bought one of these for us to share with our friends. Not bad, but not outstanding. I love the charming and relaxing atmosphere at this cafe. We had a nice, big round table all to ourselves. It's a cozy place and much easier to get a seat than To Live For Bakery which has lineups out the door everyday. Food here was pretty good. Not as good as To Live For, and they don't seem like they have regular features like To Live For's cube croissant which changes flavor about once a month and draws in crowds of people, and probably gets a ton of views on Instagram; however, the food here is still very good. A great neighbourhood place for vegans or non vegans interested in exploring plant based food.

I found this place through Yelp and I am a big fan of pastries and desserts. To sum up, yes I have a sweet tooth. The presentation of their cakes (round, that can serve several people, 6' inch) are very ordinary. It looks like the cake that you get from any any grocery stores. It just doesn't look special. Not picture worthy. So now going to the single serving cakes. They have a good number of selections. When I came there were many selections left. I ended up going with the Diablo Torte. The presentation looks a lot nicer. If you put the single serving cake and the round 6 inches cake together, you would have no idea they are from the same bakery. I came really late in the day (around 5:30). I noticed that they were wrapping the cakes in saran wraps. I guess there is no guarantee that the cakes are made fresh on the day. So going back to the Diablo Torte. It was flourless and at first my concern was it being very dense. It wasn't dense but at the same time, it was not fluffy either. The cake wasn't super fresh. The cake kind of crumbled as I poke my fork into it. The chocolate on the top cracked (not a major concern for me). The chocolate in the cake wasn't as smooth and creamy as I hoped it. The cake seems to have a bit too much moisture in it. I am guessing the moisture must have been it sitting in the fridge too long. The Diablo Torte is a flourless cake and flourless cake requires a lot of skills to make. Yes the Diablo Torte does have the spicy cayenne kick. I wish it had more of the chocolate flavor. I have had really good cakes in the past. The cake I got is slightly lacking in flavor but still Decadent Brulee's Diablo Torte was not bad. The single serve cake itself was $7.09. Price vs taste! Not sure how they can charge that price. I mean at least it has a really nice presentation. The bakery is more of a grab and go place. There is only one table with 3 chairs. It would be difficult for a place for small talks. Also the place is quite small. I peaked into the kitchen and it seemed like the kitchen area is bigger than the area outside. Maybe, they get a lot of orders on cakes to go for parties. Yes they also serves coffee but from the looks of it, coffee is not their specialty. They also serves other pastries like cookies and etc. However, their cookies are not as delicious looking at some cookie specialty stores. It looked somewhat dry. I do want to point out that in Calgary there are not a lot of pastries and cake places. It is good there is Decadent Brûlée. Where I am from there are dime a dozen.
