I asked for a further alteration. She said she would do this. I recieved a text saying my garment was ready for collection. When I went to fetch the dress she almost barked at me: ' your dress is not ready' after I had recieved a text from her saying it was. I then heard nothing for weeks and had to chase her for progress. When I finally went to collect the garment Carman claimed she had texted me about the cost of the final repair. I had recieved no such text. I showed her my phone showing I had had no text to this effect and she sort of mumbled. Won't use again the alterations were not terrible but the customer service was peculiar and the price on the high side.

A couple of years ago, I had a jacket 'tailor made' in Malaysia…read more Despite initial measurements and a 'fitting' session before the jacket was put together, almost everything was wrong when I went to collect the jacket. The jacket was too long at the hips, there was no curvature at the chest and waist and the inner lining was not properly stitched, excessive and hung out at the cuff. When I got to London, I showed the jacket to one of the suit shops on or near Saville Row to see if they could correct the jacket for me but I was referred to KS tailoring. The team at KS Tailoring with the tailor in the 'front of house' re-shaped the jacket to my contour, corrected all the defects and salvaged this jacket for me. The reason I looked for KS Tailoring again is that I have lost a few buttons on the sleeves and just wanted to make sure they are at the same locations in Piccadilly. I know they will do a good job and quicky.

As I live in Cardiff and was unable to pick the jacket up after dropping it off - they actually posted my first jacket once it got altered. I received the jacket two weeks later and it was carefully packed in plastic wraps. The work done was perfect - sleeves were perfectly shorted from the shoulders. The second jacket again had sleeves shortened and fabrics removed from the waist. The third jacket had the sleeves lengthened. All were perfectly done and I am very happy.

Their staff keeps churning so you rarely have a single point of contact. Seems like the person who took my measurement had no or poor experience at doing this (had to take it twice). As part of any custom tailoring process I went there for the fitting. The suit jacket was way off so they made the markings and called me another day. Went again, same problem. Took marking again and then delivered it next day. Now, I don't even live in London but fell for the Saville Row branding and kept going there. The end result was a horribly stitched suit that literally has a hunchback. Very amateur stitching. I don't' (and can't) wear them so it's a waste of lot of money and time and energy. You would be better off buying a ready to wear suit from M&S (literally) than trying Cad & The Dandy.

The guys are very friendly - nothing like the stuffy experience you expect to get from a typical tailor. One of the benefits of being a regular. Service is quick and they pack clothes well on hangers and in plastic. Thy recycle both, so we just return them with the next bag of clothes.
