This is an awful company. They are in Myrtle Beach, but supposedly service Summerville. Well,…read morethey serviced us for installation, but not for real service /repairs. Our lights were not working on one side of the awning. They charged almost $200 to come out, and say we needed a new motor. They were going to charge another "trip" charge to do the installation. We had an electrician that we trusted come out and he made a very minor repair for $100. Affordabe Awning agreed to return the first payment as they didn't do anything, and made an incorrect diagnosis. Now, there is something else wrong with the awning... coming out unevenly ....only 2 years old. We will try to find some other way to correct this problem. Will never deal with this company again. They say their awnings are under warranty, but charge a large trip charge because they're in Myrtle Beach...not our problem!

They were installed this past Saturday. The young men who completed the installation were on time, very professional and did a very good job. The shades look very nice. While the shades will provide a good amount of privacy on our screened porch, we wanted them in order to keep out most of the rain as well as keep out pollen in the spring. Call placed to local rep. office on September 16th, politely asking that they look at it the next time they were in the area. I was told they were very busy doing multiple installations in NC and she didn't know when they would be back. My call was never returned. I called again on October 18th and given an appointment for late afternoon on the 23rd. They never showed up. I called on the 24th to find out what was going on. My husband was told they would look at it the next time they're in town. The office is more than 2 hours away. Terrible customer service and overall poor experience. We have very little recourse since the awning is already paid for in full. I would NOT recommend these people at all. In the meantime, going through corporate to hopefully get some resolution.

I was sent a contract to sign and signed it. I should have read the contract with a fine tooth comb. There is a clause in there that allows them to change the final price if they feel they need to. They did not tell me it was going to be more money prior to performing the work or even at the time they felt it was going to be more involved. It wasn't until I got the final invoice that they added $500 to a $1600 estimate. In addition I had to have the just about redo the entire job due to poor workmanship. The skeleton of the fence was done terribly. The cuts looked like a child did them. The had to send a separate crew the next day to start over. I imagine this is why the determined to add $500 to the cost of the of the job. Bottom line buyer beware. This is a predatory type contract. They even wanted me to sign a document that gave them the ability to debit my account as soon as the job was done. Thankfully I didn't allow that. In the end I elected to pay the money on the advice of my attorney. I do not recommend them due to this predatory contract they use.
