As usual, I chose my two favorite salads, the Chicken Caesar salad and Balsamic Chicken Avocado. Both were excellent. The Caesar is very consistent, I think I've only had two I didn't like and I've literally eaten more than I can count. I find their salads very filling. I don't gain weight when I stick to just one. Recently, I stopped into Just Salad, on the UES. A young man named Ishmael served me, and made me an amazing "earth bowl" with chicken in it. It was so incredibly good. Thank you, Ishmael! : ) And he was so kind and welcoming! I told him that I would have a few bites, and then "take it to go." But it was such an amazing salad that I must have sat there for (at least) half an hour chowing down!! Once I had had a bite, I couldn't stop. (I know, that sounds like a big bag of chips. I assure you that, yes, it was actually a big salad! LOL) This was my first time eating in a Just Salad establishment, and it was a wonderful experience. Wanted to get some vegetables in my diet, so I stopped by Just Salad for a Southwest Crunch Bowl. I customized it with crispy chicken and honey mustard dressing and it was pretty good!!! I usually have Sweetgreen and Chopt as my go-to salad options, but I'm glad I tried Just Salad. I recommend getting their chocolate chip cookie on the side as well because the mini dessert was absolutely delicious. Service was pretty fast and the ambiance was welcoming. When I got to work, I was eating my salad until I realized there was a roach or some kind of other insect in my salad, close to the bottom. I am completely disgusted, feel nauseous and lost my appetite. I received a refund but being that the company makes millions of dollars, the appropriate action in my opinion was to also offer a voucher for another time. That was not offered to me. They said I had to come back to the store - sorry I can't come back because I am not near the store anymore. I will never go back there, and I will tell all my friends not to come back. It gets busy at times but what eating establishment doesn't. I've had their smoothies before and wasn't impressed; they're very bland. This has become my go-to salad spot for a yummy lunch after my yoga classes nearby! I absolutely love that they have vegan chicken options and that I'm able to create my own salad. I included photos of my salad which has daring vegan chicken, romaine, red onions, sweet potato, avocado, croutons and cherry tomatoes (coated in light chipotle sauce). I included another photo of another day when I ordered to show some variety. It's great too that they offer combos as you'll see in the photo, of two items for approx $14-15 with taxes. I typically now get the salad only and a smoothie at juice generation because of how yummy the juice generation ones are, but their smoothies here are also good! Wait time is pretty good usually for me, today however I did have to wait a bit longer for the daring chicken to be cooked because I came at exactly opening time hehe. It's also very cold in here so if you dine in try to sit away from the acs lol (I ended up eating in the park today though which was like a 14 minute walk). Ordered via app - waited nearly 25 minutes upon arrival to only be told that there was no onion no avocado etc ... so what is in the salad just greens and no dressing for $40 bucks. Just walked in and ordered the barbacoa market bowl, as is. There was no line and barely any one in there. Losing a star because I found at least 6 Parmesan shavings in the bowl... confused as to how they could accidentally do that. I was fine with it but what if I was dairy free? Especially since it wasn't crowded, that's a pretty bad mistake. Otherwise I like just Salad. The bowl was good. They have good deals with level up.
