A family-run small Vietnamese restaurant that offered a full selection of food options ranging from pho (Vietnamese flat noodle soup) to rice with various toppings, as well as a good amount of appetizers, including rice wrap rolls and fried spring rolls.
We ordered a No.6 special beef noodle soup, No.7 rice noodle soup topped with sliced chicken fillet, and rice wrap rolls with prawns. I had to say that the dishes we ordered exceeded our expectation both from the perspective of quantity and quality.
The noodle soup, first of all, came in large portion size. Different from the one I had in Cairns which had glass noodles, the pho here had authentic flat rice noodle. Though the noodle was slightly wider than the ones I had before in Atlanta, the texture and flavor had no difference. The beef tendon, beef flank were both tender and chewy. The beef meatball had a bouncy and firm texture, which made me believe that those were likely hand-made by the chef.
The rice wrap rolls, on the other hand, though didn't surprise me as much as the noodle soup, were also decent in taste. Each rice wrap roll came with a generous portion that had three whole fresh prawns inside. They were flavorful accompanied by the sweet/spicy sauce that came with the dish.
The only flaw would be the limited number of seats that Just Pho offered. there were literally no seats within the restaurant, but 3-4 tables outside of the restaurant in the mall. Take-away, though, can always be an option.
Overall I would recommend this place to any passers-by who seek to have a quick warm noodle soup or some Vietnamese taste at a reasonable price. read more
