I have had three massages here so far and all have been enjoyable. I highly recommend Joy and will remain a regular of hers. This is a no frills massage spot. It is far from fancy, but clean and adequate. read more

James is my favorite massage therapist at Just Massage. He knows our muscular anatomy & gives precise/ specific deep tissue massages to help relieve tight spots & knots. As a triathlete, I go to him once a week to help relieve muscular tension; 1-hour massage for $45...that's a great price considering we're in Los Angeles. Schedule a massage with James & let him know your tight spots...you'll be grateful for the detailed massage! read more

Tucked away in an El Segundo strip mall, the entrance is a doorway that leads to a long hall; Just Massage is at the end. Parking can be tight and I don't see street parking available Joy was recommended by a friend and she did a wonderful job. The Thai massage was very helpful and her technique broke up some bruises on my leg which dissipated without much further ado! The location is clean and tranquil. At this writing, the cost for a one hour session is $50, a fair price for services rendered. Thank you to Just Massage for a great experience! read more

The one in Torrance is nicer and cleaner. The receptionist sounds like a rude chronic smoker with lots of attitude. The prices are a little higher than other locations. The rooms are halfway decent. I swear I think there was mold in the room I was in but I could be wrong. This is my second time patronizing. I probably won't be back. read more

I've been coming here for a couple of years now, and I highly recommended Odett. No matter how long it's been between my visits, she always greets me by name and with a smile. And the best of it all, she always delivers on her service and has a great spirit. read more

I wish I could leave zero stars. In fact, I wish I could leave negative stars. As you can see from my prior reviews of this place, I was once a big fan. Not after today. Bear in mind that I have been a customer of this location since the first month it opened. I went online this morning and made an appointment through their cumbersome system. I got an email later telling me that there was a conflict. The conflict had to do with the therapist I'd chosen needing to have a break between clients because she isn't feeling well enough to go "back to back" appointments all day. So I went back to the website and made another appointment. Again, an email telling me that there was a conflict. So I called again and was told that apparently someone else booked a client on the phone as I was just making that online appointment. I asked if anyone was available at the hour I wanted I got the confirmation text message confirming the appointment. I got the email message confirming the appointment. I got the reminder email message with the time of the appointment. I walked in 3 minutes after the appointment time and the completely clueless receptionist told me to have a seat. 20 minutes later she told me there was a "slight problem." The slight problem turned out to be that she'd allowed someone else to walk in and take my appointment, because his name "sounded like mine." When I expressed my displeasure mildly, she began giving me attitude. I asked her to adopt a more "customer-service oriented" attitude and to her credit, she did. She phoned her manager and apparently this was beyond their ability to resolve. Their solution was to provide me with a shortened session with the therapist who was previously too ill to take me at the original appointment time, more than 30 minutes into my 1.5 hour timeslot. There have been occasional glitches in appointments before, but the utter lack of concern on the part of management and the fact all the receptionist could do was shrug indicates to me that my business is NOT appreciated. So I will take it elsewhere. read more

Worse massage I ever had. I just paid $45 to be oiled I asked for a deep tissue Thai massage and got a really really bad massage. This place was not even a bad Chinese massage is was just bad. read more

Very disappointed with the service. I booked an appointment and my masseuse was supposed to be Teya ... The appointment is for 2 pm and I wait and wait and ask the receptionist what is taking so long and she says that she doesn't know where Teya is an she is not answering her phone either... After about 20 mins of waiting I decided to leave especially since they could not figure out if she was even going to come in to work. Completely unprofessional.. The worst part is that I had to keep asking the status instated of just being informed that the person wasn't there and having me rescheduled. Lets have a little more business etiquette read more

Oh what a great place. I have been a regular there for just about a year now. I have never had a bad massage at this location. The therapist are all very nice. If you are looking for a nice relaxing massage without too much pressure I would ask for Shoshana. However, if you are looking for medium to deep pressure I would ask for: Roger, Andrea, or Kay in that order. Man I tell you they are terrific, I always feel wonderful and well relaxed for days after a massage from one of them. Yeah! read more

I got a last minute appt here, I don't know the name of my masseuse but I said oooww a few times and she just kept telling me to breathe. She was also sick and now I'm sick!!!! If you're sick you should not be rubbing your germs all over them read more

I've been going here for probably 5 or 6 years now. For the price and the quality of massage, I'm not sure it can be beat in South Bay. I have pretty much exclusively used Odett for all these years. Part of me doesn't want to recommend her because she'll be tougher to schedule with! But she is really top notch, and such a sweetheart. My job as a cameraman is pretty demanding, and she has always helped get me back to 100% quicker after a tough day. Scheduling a massage has always been very easy. Sometimes they recognize its me when I call which makes it such a friendly experience. They've even called me back if they have a cancellation ahead of me to see if I want to come in sooner. I know there are a lot of choices around here, but this is where I've recommended all my friends to go! read more

Was going once a month. Scheduled an appointment. Had a slight emergency and needed to cancel. The lady I spoke with was the owner. I apologized. She could care less. Told me to stick to the appointment or call hours before. I held my composure and told her I had an emergency to tend to. She didn't give a rats ass. I gave it one more shot and was told to have a seat for a 7pm appointment. I showed up 10 min before and was all good. At 7:20 I still didn't get called in and I asked if I would be called in soon. I was told to have a seat and they would be with me when they are ready. I told the lady I had it and cancel my appointment. She asked why and I just walked out. Great massage if you can get in. Or maybe my emergency a month prior put me on the no service list. LATER read more

The name says it all. Don't expect anything beyond stripping down, getting massaged (or in my odd case - slapped around a bit), and then moseying on out. It's a $45 one hour massage so you know they're keeping it simple. So why the 2 stars? Well I've been to multiple JM locations and this was the first one I walked out of feeling worse than when I entered. I'm not sure about you but word on the street is massages are supposed to be relaxing? I made an appointment online (props for having an online appointment system - minus props for confirming the appointment via email 2 weeks later! Yup, I received the confirmation for an appointment that happened already 2 weeks after the fact. Was a good thing I called them after I booked online to be sure they got me down instead of hoping for some actual online confirmation). My friend and I came and had to wait...my massage started around 8:15. My masseuse was nice enough, asked me the pressure I like and she said she'd use a combination of methods. We get started and I seriously think she was trying to start a fire on my back. She was massaging with such rapidness without a focused pressure so it was just odd...I told her I'd like a firm pressure and longer strokes which improved the experience a bit. Until she got to my legs. I was just starting to relax when * Slap Slap Slap * Basically she clapped my legs up and down. This is a massage method I've encountered before but it usually doesn't just feel like someone is smacking me. I sat up startled and actually starting laughing bc I just felt "Is someone filming this?? This has to be a joke!" I wanted to ask her not to slap my other leg but she seemed so pleased with her slappage and I was in such shock I was like oh wth. And then my arms got slapped around...and pulled this way and that way. When she ended the massage and the clock read 8:50 I thought "Started late, ended early" and then thought "Thank God. I can't take anymore abuse!" Granted, I should have been more vocal about my needs and just tell her - "Thanks but no thanks on the whole slappy mcslapperson method" and "You owe me 20+ minutes" but I was tired, it was late and I just know this poor masseuse has been kneading people all day long and probably just wanted to go home too. Just beware and go in with little to no expectations. Read through the other reviews to see if you can pinpoint a good masseuse and who knows - maybe your outcome will be different. read more

The last (ever!) massage I had there was terrible! The massage therapist (don't even want to remember her name) was unfocused and uncaring! I will never go there again! read more

I made two reservations online, one for me and one for my boyfriend at a 1/2 hr. Apart. They called me up to verify that it wasn't a mistake. I had requested a male masseur for my boyfriend and he received a female masseur. I had to tell my lady to ease up because it was too hard however she never even asked me what pressure i wanted or liked. Then after she eased up she didn't check back in with me to make sure that the pressure was good or ok. I could tell that she was rushing at the end of the session when she was massaging my face and scalp. read more

Yes! Everything I ever wanted in a massage place. No extras, no up sell, no fake people. This place is exactly what the name is... Just Massage. I get about one massage a year, but that is going to change real soon. read more

So it appears that just days after I posted my review, the reviewer above who goes by "Eliza" decided to write a review about her supposed "pregnancy massage". Really? Clearly "Eliza" is employed by Just Massage. Funny this is "Eliza's" first review ever! I find it horrific that anyone thinks it is appropriate to ask an 115 pound woman if she is pregnant. This is not how we treat women in this country. Just Massage has medical forms that they have customers fill out. They would have seen my response on the form. IT IS AN INVASION OF MY PRIVACY FOR YOU TO ASK IF I AM PREGNANT INFRONT OF EVERYONE! SHAME ON YOU JUST MASSAGE! Stop trying to pretend that what you did was anything less than utterly offensive. Shame on you for your FAKE POST! read more

I've been going to Just Massage El Segundo for years....with probably well over 100 massages in that time. True, "no frills". But excellent value for the price. My personal favorite therapist is Joy. She's a good listener and is professional, friendly, and effective. Always works out my muscle 'kinks' after a long airline flight or from minor sport strains and pains. Highly, enthusiastically recommended! read more

I don't understand the bad reviews for this place. I think its great. I've come here many times over the years. As the name implies, its just massage. No spa, no frills, but always a good massage by an experienced masseuse. Its a clean, comfortable environment and the price is right. read more

I've been getting the massage which is awesome therapist name Teya I love love it . read more

Great price! My boyfriend was never into massages, but I took him here after one of our numerous travels. And, now, he's booking the couples room before we even leave for the trip so we have a spot to plop on when we return. -- stars based on category, not food read more

Excellent hour and a half massage here! Very clean environment, friendly staff, and easy to use online appointment scheduling. The massage therapist referred to me, Teya, did an amazing job taking out my knots and kinks! read more

This is my go-to place for massages. No frills. You get in, you get your massage, and you get out. Do not expect a "spa" experience. The price is amazing for what you get. I've had several different massage therapists and I choose depending on my mood. Yes I go regularly, about once a month. Odette and Teya are my favorites. I see Odette if I want a relaxing massage. It never fails - I always fall asleep when I'm with her. She has a very soothing touch. Also good at stretching. I see Teya for more of a deep tissue massage. She has small but strong hands which I like. That is why I usually prefer female massage therapists because men 1) usually have hairy arms and I don't like that and 2) their hands are a lot bulkier and I feel that their fingers are not as intricate enough to get into all the knots that I have in my sore muscles. I'm 4'10" and have and would consider myself a fit/athletic build. There is a sign that clearly states that if you are uncomfortable or not satisfied with your massage therapist you have 15 minutes into your session to tell them so. Speak up! if they are not the right fit then maybe you should have a different massage therapist. read more

Teya gave me a great Thai massage to loosen up my neck, shoulders and back. She's professional, kind, efficient and thorough. Looking forward to going back. read more

Loved it, great massage, great price. I work across the street so its a great end to the day. I got Taya? she did mixed Thai Swedish style massage. I'm becoming a regular here. They are a chain so look for one in your area. read more

I lived in Thailand for 2 years, so I know a good Thai oil massage when I get it...Teya is amazing. Thumbs like jackhammers and she moves super quick. If you're looking for a relaxation massage this, isn't it (although I'm sure she can do those; I tell her to go as hard as she can), but if you're looking to have your kinks worked out, Teya is great. read more

Awesome massage by Bew! I was pleasantly surprised at how great the massage was for the low price. The room was simple and clean, and the massage table was very comfortable. Bew is super strong and knows how to target all the tension and knots in my shoulders, back and neck. I will definitely be coming back!!! I hope the quality doesn't change! read more

This place is great. I ususally get Julia and she does a great job. Close to the office and inexpensive.

I highly recommend Sue!! She did absolutely amazing!! And she is very sweet!! I will definitely be returning!!

I'm sooooo happy with the massage I got from Julia. I received a wonderful deep tissue massage and I will most definitely be back.

Finally used my gift certificate from work! This place is legit. Yelpers didn't steer me wrong and that's how I found my masseuse. Booked my appointment online with Odett. The massage started on time and the place is clean. Odett was great! She worked on my shoulders and calves like I asked. She mixed Swedish with some deep tissue. There's a handy dandy tip sheet in the room and they appreciate cash payments according to the sign. I would come back and ask for Odett. read more

always come here for a pick me up. I never want the massages to end. all the ladies are so sweet and patient. good prices too! love this place read more

I was desperate and had a new person give me a rub down which was nothing stellar. So middle the road AVERAGE...Will not return.

I really enjoyed my massagee here. The name implies just what it says--its just massages. No other treatments. With that said, I prefer massages at traditional spas (so I can relax afterwards), but if you want a good massage that's quick and affordable, then this is your place. They are nice and friendly and the massages are great. The facilities are a bit small, but its very clean, and the customer service meets my standards and expectations. This is as good as it gets for the price ($45 for 1hr)... And they accept insurance. read more

Just like the store's name, it's just-a-massage. They massage well, but don't expect any fluffy towels or meditation music.

I came in to have my right leg worked on. Halfway through the massage only my left leg had been worked on. I asked the therapist to work the right leg, she said ok and then was done. Disappointed that the therapist didn't work on the problem which was clearly stated on the paperwork and explained to her before the session started. read more

I love this massage place - especially Joy, who does pregnancy massages. They are the best I ever had and the pressure is perfect. I've been to other places where it seems like they just don't want to apply any pressure so it's like someone rubbing lotion on you. I wish I could come more often but I don't live close by anymore. =( The price is great and facilities clean. read more

Odett is awesome. Went in stressed and came out relaxed. Great customer service very polite. Very clean and professional.

This place is great! I often make same day appointments and can sometimes make my appointment for within the hour. If you want a deep tissue massage, ask for "Jet". She is wonderful. But if you want a DEEP tissue massage that you are GUARANTEED to LOVE, ask for "Odette". SHE IS MY FAVORITE! You wont find a sauna or any spa amenities here but you will receive quality! Don't forget to tip! read more

1st Yelp review ever for my WORST massage ever! I read overall pretty good reviews so maybe I just got unlucky with my person. Not even sure what her name was bc she never introduced herself and it wasn't on the door like others were. I just know I was in the first room behind the desk. Reasons why it was THE WORST... * She spent almost half the time massaging me on top of the sheet. I felt like I was being rubbed raw. * Her nails dug into me multiple times, twice making me jump. I'm seriously worried I'm gonna have scratches all over. * It's as if she didn't understand the anatomy of the body. I have plenty of muscles and knots in my back but she barely touched them. And instead kneaded into my bones. So it's like some parts of my body received barely any pressure. And others might be bruised. * I left covered in oil. Which would normally be rubbed in throughout the hour but since she didn't do much, it was as if I had just put it on. I've never had to wipe myself off before getting dressed. Being that I didn't want to cause a scene or embarrass the woman, I waited until the end to pop my head out and ask the girl at the front desk if I could talk to the manager. I thought many times about getting up in the middle but just kept hoping it would get better. I told the girl I didn't think I should have to pay for this bc it was such an awful massage. She promptly and nicely called the manager. BUT then the manager said I have to pay bc I stayed the whole hour! I semi get that bc it was her time I'm paying for but it was also a service that I'm paying for (a nice relaxing and/or effective massage) which I didn't not receive! I should have gotten some sort of discount or at the very least been able to explain what went so horribly wrong so that maybe this won't happen to the next person. I asked the girl at the desk if I could talk to the manager myself and she said she was not allowed to do that. Clearly, I will not be returning since the manager seems more worried about getting paid than taking care of customers, so it's not like I'd even give them a second chance and hope that it goes better with a different masseuse. I've had many massages before (even cheap/no frills ones like this) and never felt like I was walking out completely wasting $50 and an hour of my life. read more
