Had a great massage here! My friend was visiting and said she wanted a massage, I had never had one before so I said she could pick the place. We came here for a 7:30pm appointment and they were very accommodating when we changed from a Wednesday to a Thursday night. This was my first massage (90 min) so I was a bit nervous but my masseuse Sue was sooo sweet and made me very comfortable. She made sure to get the spots on my neck I told her was bothering me and she also made sure to stay clear of recent dermatology surgery I had on the back of my neck. Today I saw Joy for a 60 minute massage that was AMAZING. I explained I have sciatica in my left leg and she was clearly knowledgeable of what I needed to feel relief. I am so satisfied I will certainly be back to see her. The only issue I ran into was the male receptionist having a full on personal conversation on speakerphone which I could totally hear. There's no reason I should hear about dinner & travel plans, let alone on speaker. This is so rude to the hard work these massage therapists put into creating a comfortable & relaxing environment. I made an appointment after work at 515. i called around 520 to let them know i got held at work and unable to make my appt. hoping to reschedule to a later time that evening i asked what time they closed. a gentleman then proceeded to basically berate me telling me i should have called earlier because they're extremely busy and someone else could have taken my place. he then proceeded to HANG UP. How the hell am i supposed to know i was going to stay later at work. very unprofessional and as a south bay guy i would expect better service from this small community we have here. After coming here for years I just recently had a bad experienced with the receptionist. I called early morning to make a 2 pm appointment with my favorite massage therapist and after re accommodating make busy work and home schedule I arrive 15 minutes early to my surprise they had bucked me with the wrong therapist !!! I don't have many days off and when I do they are very busy days as well. It was very upsetting the receptionist was non apologetic when I as why would you schedule me in if she is not at work today !! His reply was it wasn't me. I got no apology and the therapist who was schedule for me was also disappointed since I didn't have her message me. She rudely walked away. Love this place ! I was experiencing a lot of pain in my upper back and neck so I decided to try this place out and it was so worth it! I had Paula as my massage therapist and she took the time to ask where I felt the most pain and she spent extra time on my upper back and neck which was awesome. She also took the time to work out all my knots in my forearms and legs as well. I left feeling so much better and my pain going from an 8 down to a 2. Not to mention this place isn't super pricey. I would have never thought this tiny Asian woman could have so much strength. I've had more than my share of massages and this by far was the most uncomfortable and painful. Just about every year I purchase a number of gift certificates so my girlfriend could enjoy a personal massage from someone other me. I am commenting on our satisfaction from the front desk, not the massage experiences we had over the years... I can't comment on the massage experience because the rotation of the employees, it is simply hard to track who is where, when and if they will be available next week/month. It seems that year after year customer service slowly diminishes and the front desk employees seem like they're doing you a favor when it comes to scheduling a massage, or even purchasing the gift certificates. We're not picky when it comes to amenities, parking availability, and as long as the job is done with some customer service included we walk away with a smile on our face... this is not the case when it comes to Just Massage in El Segundo. We will be using our gift certificates at other locations, and will think twice about purchasing any additional services. read more

Im a regular here (or WAS) and I made an appointment with my fav "Teya" for a friend of mines Birthday as a surprise. I called 2x within a week to confirm the surprise appointment and was told that my appointment was solid. When we get to the appointment we were told that "There are no appointments for you". I told the receptionist that I called a day PRIOR to confirm, I gave her the time I called and whom I spoke with, again she apologized and said "There's nothing here IM sorry". I made an appointment today to get a much needed massage. I arrive and was introduced to Tia whom I never met there since I've started there over 4 years ago. Come to find out Tia does not do deep tissue massage and so I had an lady that Tia said that does deep tissue Julia. Well as Tia is telling Julia to help me, Julia started muttering in a language other then English which to her surprise I understood and was saying I don't want to do it. Very disappointed in the way things took place. I've been coming here for over four years and always had odet to take care of me. Unfortunately, she was busy so I got stuck with the two most unprofessional people. It was experiencing pain in my lower legs and looked on Yelp and found Just Massage The outside is a strip mall full of restaurants and its tucked away and looked not so appealing from outside but inside was an amazing massage and the owner Caesar was very professional and kind Very clean and basic but James is worth seeing and the massage was only 45 dollars I will go back and even make a special trip James relieved all my pain. I'm giving 4 stars because the message facility it self is set up in a weird way. The location can be hard to find. It's in the same complex as Togo's. When you walk in the vibe isn't that welcoming and the receptionist didn't greet me. THE MASSAGE WAS AMAZING though. JAMES is the guy to go to. He really tries to have positive and relaxing energy in the room. Super interesting guy. We had so much to talk about. If you're into having a conversation during your massage. I was surprised to find so many 1-star ratings here... I've always had a good experience here, the massage therapists are always nice and responsive if you tell them you want less/more pressure. I highly recommend Teresa. It's good value, the same massages at Glen Ivy and other spas are literally two times as expensive. I don't know know about your but I'd rather have 2 pretty good massages than 1 massage that's great except the guilty feeling for dishing $120 for a 1-hour massage. Therapist, Paula at the El Segundo Just Massage location helps me so much and decreases my level of pain and discomfort and stress level after every session. She is very professional, knowledgeable, consistent, and listens to what you want and need for your massage. Paula always brings good energy to her sessions and is very polite. The price is great. The facility is clean and simple with many massage rooms. I have never had an issue with calling and scheduling. Paula works there 4 days/week I believe. I was in desperate need of back pain relief. I'm in my third trimester and I was in constant pain. These massage studios offer the best massage for the price. Better than most expensive and similar massage parlors I've been to. It's also nice that they do an hour massage rather than 50 minutes like other places which really turns into 45...for way more money. This is a no frills massage place but does have a warming pad on the table. I took a star off only because I didn't get asked about pressure, the massage wasn't the smoothest and heard the toilet flush half way through my massage. read more

I called in the morning of and asked for an appointment for two--I was planning on taking my friend for her 18th birthday. We show up and didn't get placed in the couples room because I had failed to specify that we wanted to be in the same room. The receptionist took responsiblity, saying that she should have asked if we wanted the same room, but it wasn't that big of a deal regardless. There was some paperwork that we had to fill out beforehand, but it was only a page of basic information that covered contact info and health issues. Not a big deal. I had Teena. She was very gentle, focused on my tenser areas, and rolled out all the knots in my back. My friend had Teya. She was very physical and strong. This was my first massage experience so I have nothing else to really compare it to, but it wasn't anything that would stand out. With that being said, it wasn't a source of displeasure either. I was hesitant to come back because I don't remember my first time being anything spectacular, but they had open appointments for my gf and I and it was also the cheapest. I'm glad I came back because this time was so good! Amy was my therapist, just the right amount of pressure (medium-hard). I just got a Swedish because I wanted to relax and I really did.. I straight fell asleep in some parts lol but it was worth it. I felt so refreshed after which was exactly what I wanted. $45 for one hour can't beat it. Despite living and working in El Segundo for 7 years, I'd never actually been to Just Massage until yesterday. I'd seen it enough times tucked into the corner of a mini mall on Sepulveda (near Togo's and The Boat) & was always curious about it. A long, stressful week + a gift certificate from my stepson inspired me to make an appointment. I went online to the website yesterday morning and was able to make an appointment for the same day at 3 p.m. (which is wonderful). The website allows you to choose a therapist, as well, if you know who you would like and I took the recommendations of all the Yelpers and chose Odett. When you first enter, it feels more like a free clinic than a spa, honestly. The "waiting room" is essentially the entry hallway lined with chairs. The woman working the desk when I arrived was kind of gruff (I see this was mentioned by previous Yelpers), but the receptionist on my way out was very sweet. I filled out the health form and, right at 3 p.m., Odett came to get me from the hallway. The massage room was fairly spacious and, while nothing special, seemed clean and had a few black & white photos on the "industrial beige" walls. There are no smelly candles, but the lights are on a dimmer, so the room is still functional as a low-stress space. There was also an eclectic soundtrack ranging from new age to smooth jazz. I could have done without the jazz, honestly, but it wasn't terribly distracting. The massage table was fine, but wasn't the coziest I've experienced (low thread count sheeting and the padding could also have been better). All that said, Odett really is as fantastic as everyone says. My 1-hour massage was phenomenal and Odett was even able to massage my feet and calves without tickling me (a problem I always have with massages). I had indicated I needed extra work on my neck & shoulders and she really worked the knots out. At the end, she also gives you a vigorous scalp rub which feels fantastic. If you are looking for a fancy spa experience, look elsewhere. But, if you just want an amazing massage, go see Odett! read more

Today was my second visit here. The first time I came, back in November, I had a great experience. The receptionist was extremely friendly, and the masseuse I had was named Odette. She did an incredible job, was friendly, introduced herself, and gave me an hour massage. It was the best massage I have ever had. I left there feeling like I was floating ...and that "high" continued for several days. Today. Well, that's another story. The receptionist was cold. She wasn't exactly rude, but she was less than friendly. I'm not sure who gave me my massage, as she never gave me her name, however, it was less than satisfying. After she started my massage five minutes late, she had to take a break to blow her nose. She was inconsistent during the massage -- she worked the hell out of one of my calve's, and the other one she barely rubbed for two minutes. She had to ask twice what I wanted worked on, which is fine, but I told her that it was my shoulders. I left with my shoulders feeling worse than when I had arrived. She also ended my massage 5 minutes early, so I paid the 60 minute price of $45 to only be massaged for 50 minutes. As I sit and type this 3 hours later, my shoulders hurt EXTREMELY bad. I'm going to have to pay to go get ANOTHER massage just to fix the damage she did. Next time, I will either request Odette, or I won't come here again. Highly disappointed in this visit. read more

I have been continually going to this Massage place for many years now, and every experience has been great. Once, I even came on my birthday, and they sang Happy Birthday as I walked through the door. That made my day! :) I always get my massages from Odett, and she is absolutely lovely. Very very sweet, and so pleasant every time I see her. I schedule an appt about every 6 weeks, and she always remembers any problems I had previously (I have been recovering from a tailbone injury for almost a year). Parking can be tight and I don't see street parking available Joy was recommended by a friend and she did a wonderful job. The Thai massage was very helpful and her technique broke up some bruises on my leg which dissipated without much further ado! The location is clean and tranquil. The one in Torrance is nicer and cleaner. The receptionist sounds like a rude chronic smoker with lots of attitude. The prices are a little higher than other locations. The rooms are halfway decent.
