However, this location was after we checked out so we decided to try it. When I walked in, there were only about five patrons inside and they were all either studying, working, or ordering something,. It took me a while to order because there were so many options on the menu, but I knew I needed breakfast and there were not a lot of pastries available at 1 PM. I ended up ordering the Iced Matcha Latte with butterscotch syrup added, and the breakfast sandwich on a croissant I requested a chicken sausage instead of the pork or bacon or ham options. The person who took my order, said that she highly recommended the House or Home potatoes for my side dish. I went ahead and ordered that as my side upon her recommendation. The weight was about 10 minutes and it was because they actually make it to order. I was able to peruse around and see the place. Take pictures and wait patiently in a very comfortable chair. My food was to go and the gentleman walked it up to me and so did the barista who made my matcha latte on ice with butterscotch syrup added. They were very customer service oriented and I think them both and went to the car. When I got in the car, my food was absolutely hot and too hot for me to eat so I waited a while. My Matcha latte with butterscotch was delicious and I enjoyed it. When we got a few minutes away, I was able to open up the container for my food and this time aired out so that it could get to a temperature where I can enjoy it. I was very frustrated because I did not get chicken sausage as I had ordered. I got regular pork sausage. Also the Home fried potatoes at first bite were delicious, but after the second and third bite, I started to taste old frying oil that they were cooked in. I did not finish my meal and basically wasted it. I still think this is a good place to come and enjoy a nice beverage and possibly a good pastry, but I probably won't be ordering the home fries again nor the chicken sausage croissant. Other than that disappointment, this was a very nice experience.

My favorite cronut is the brown butter glaze, but I love trying their new flavors! But what truly makes Barefruit special is the people--the staff and the owners. During postpartum and my transition back to work, I made it a little ritual to treat myself to a coffee and a cronut from Barefruit once a week (or sometimes more- lol). Some days were (and still are) incredibly hard, but I'm always greeted with the warmest welcome and the kindest smiles. They take the time to ask about my son and how I'm doing, and they even help with quick pickup orders, so I'm not late for work. On the toughest days, they somehow just know. Whether it's a joke, a thoughtful question, or simply a friendly smile, they always manage to brighten my morning. They genuinely care about their customers and make you feel like family. Anytime we have friends or family visiting, Barefruit is our first stop--and it's always a hit. I recommend them wholeheartedly and can't wait to see how they continue to grow. I first tried them as a small stand at farmer markets- and am so happy for the shop now! I am a local, but the wait times vary. Some weekends are busy, but I promise it is worth the wait.
