The contract I signed says they take pride in their work, follow the S520 standard and are an IICRC Certified Firm. All of these claims are false. Additionally, they don't even have a Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC) license that allows them to legally conduct home improvements in Maryland. The were supposed to remove and clean the mold, but all they did was remove a wall and paint over the rest of the mold, dirt, dust and debris that was present prior to the start of the project. Completely unprofessional! Curtis should be embarrassed by how he conducts business. See photos of all the dirt, dust and cobwebs they left behind after they said the project was complete and they "HEPA vacuumed" 3 times. Clearly they didn't even vacuum once. Also, they broke my toilet lid and tried to cover it up so I wouldn't notice.

When they arrived, we had some water in the basement and they quoted us based on their normal pricing. Once the concrete came up, we couldn't believe what we were dealing with. It's a constant flow of water that required two sump pits and an insane amount of work to install our drainage system. Every time they tried to dig a pit it would backfill with sand and water- they had to dig this up painstakingly- foot by foot. We thought for sure we were in for additional costs, but they stuck by the original estimate. Since then, any time we've had an issue or a question, they are quick to answer. Poor Kelly and Bobby probably recognize our number on the caller ID but whenever we make a call or send an email, we always get a response- usually with a visit on the same day. We highly recommend this company for their honesty, customer service, and quality work.

Chimney repairs are physically taxing and the quality of the repair is very important for the appearance and durability of the repair. A long-term brick mason and now a senior employee at a retail brick and mortar masonry supply company provided me insights into my job and how he would want the job done if it was his home. Sean followed his recommendations and specifications resulting in an esthetically pleasing and a very likely long lasting repair. I got a number of estimates from local chimney repair companies with vastly different levels of repair ranging from relatively mild simple repairs to a complete chimney tear down which would have been unnecessary and quite expensive. Sean's estimate was the most complete and detailed. Sean completed the job in mid fall 2024. My job required brick repair where the brick was repairable using similar brick mortar and staining, and brick replacement when the brick had lost strength or significant chipping or holes. Mortar replacement and repointing and chimney crown replacement was required as well. A very good application of siloxane sealant at the end of the job completed the job. Most contractors are not nearly as adaptive and many will cut corners to be a lower the bid for your job and or complete the job in a cheaper weaker manner. . Sean, his foreman Sandro, and his other employees did not. My job was more complicated than most. It required not only excellent repair skills as well as the willingness to adapt and listen to customers desires for the repair and the willingness to sign a relatively detailed contract. As the work progressed more bricks were found to be needed to be replaced. Sean made me aware of the additional damage needed to be repaired and gave me a significant discount on the additional needed work. The end result was an excellent repair job completed in mid-fall 2024. For an excellent functional long lasting chimney repair, I strongly recommend Moore Stone. I would be very comfortable with him doing other masonry and stone repairs for me.

Our first contact with Petro Design/Build Group was with Tricia, who walked us through the process, answered our questions, and put us in contact with Kathleen to schedule our consultation. Tricia is very professional, personable, and a joy to talk to. Kathleen arrived at our home for the consultation - not just on time but early. Immediately, we were greeted with a smile and a kind nature. We walked her through the yard, and she asked us what we were looking for. She is extremely easy to talk to and is very engaging in listening and suggesting options. The whole time she took notes, which was refreshing to see since previous landscapers we consulted just nodded and provided a design that did not meet any of our needs. She evaluated the slope of our yard to determine the wetter areas and took measurements. When she was done, she told us she would have a design for us by the end of the following week. We had our consultation on Friday, and she actually had our design emailed to us that following Monday. She provided a detailed sketch with multiple concept options and walked us through each area of the design. She responded quickly and answered all of our questions completely. She was always patient and understanding and never once did the process feel overwhelming. For once, we felt included and comfortable with every step of the process. Once our HOA approved her design, we were scheduled in for the first phase of our landscaping project - the front yard. She arrived the first day, preparation day, before the landscaping installation team. She went over her design ensuring measurement and placement of plant beds. Once Matt and his team arrived, Matt and Kathleen walked through everything before the team started the planting prep. Matt and his team are very courteous, professional, and extremely hard workers. We have terrible soil in our yard. It is a new build, so not only hard clay soil but plenty of construction debris throughout. They powered through removing grass, manually tilling in compost (due to nearby utility lines), and hauling away all of the debris. The second day was planting day! Kathleen arrived with all of the native plants and the trees were delivered. Kathleen and her team laid out all of the plantings according to the design with a few last minute tweaks that were perfect. She then walked us through the layout and checked if we were happy with the layout before any planting occurred. The team did an amazing job of planting everything and incorporating a few transplants. I cannot say enough about what an amazing experience we have had! We are excited to start our next phase this in early fall.
