I said hello, said my name, and she DIDNT say hi my name is, and I'll be doing your lashes today. We just need you to fill out this sheet beforehand. No, She was ice cold, "hi, once that girls done with the computer you'll need to fill out a form." I tried to be overly nice so maybe she would become nicer. That didn't work. She wasn't mean or anything, just not warm and friendly, As you would expect in an atmosphere like this. You come to these places to feel a bit pampered. It's uncomfortable to have someone in your space for an hour if you haven't developed some sort of friendliness...... The whole time I was filling out the form I was hoping she wasn't the one doing my lashes. Unfortunately she was. She showed me to the bed, asked me to lay down. Asked me if I'd had my lashes done before, I responded, I have. I told her how I would like them. She said okay, then the only time she said a word was when I asked a question. I felt like she should say okay, putting this on now. But maybe you guys like more of a quiet atmosphere, which if fair. It's nice though to hear what's going on your face. Again she wasn't mean, she just wasn't friendly, inviting, warm. Overall experience was that it just didn't have the feel I like when getting my lashes done. I want warm, relaxing, professional, luxury. I want to feel happy, invited. At one point I was thinking, did I maybe upset her. It was just uncomfortable. The whole time with my eyes closed I was thinking I don't like this. There were moments she was hurting me, it happens, it's ok, you know a little lash pull here and there the norm, but she didn't say a word when I would wince. Not, oh sorry, oh are you okay? Silence. Dead silent. Then at the end I guess some glue was on my eyelid and she was trying to pick it off, I couldn't tell at the moment, as I'm laying there with my eyes shut. It hurt as she was trying to get it off, I winced, she said Nothing, she gave up, had me sit up, wipe my own eyes with a cloth, which I found weird. Then said oh there's glue on your lid, it will come off later. I said ok. (I've never experience that at a spa before) It's not a small amount of money for a tint and lift. I just expected more since the reviews were so great.

She consulted with me regarding what type of look I wanted and she gave me an even better result that I had hoped for. I already have naturally long lashes (blonde though!) and my lashes hitting my glasses was a real problem. MK gave me a full set of lashes that don't brush my glasses and look really great. Of course, when you are having anything done to your eye area, you want the technician to be very gentle. MK's touch was SO light, I could barely feel that she was working on my lashes - I appreciated this very much! I will return to MK Lash, as her service was excellent and the lashes have lasted very well.

I decided to try the new hair spa experience offered at the nail salon. I managed to book a same…read moreday appointment. The nail salon was packed with customers getting their manicures and pedicures when I entered the store. I was walked to the back of the store to a room with three beds. One bed had a customer getting her lashes done. The other two beds were set up for the head spa experience. I had booked the elite wellness head experience. I was assisted to change into a spa towel with the staff holding a blanket up to cover me from the other people in the room. I would have preferred curtains and hope the store will eventually install some curtains between the beds. The customer getting her lashes done finished shortly after my service began. The head spa experience was quite relaxing. My scalp enjoyed a thorough cleansing and massage. The aromatic products used added to the experience. The experience included my ears washed (I was surprised but did not mind), a face mask, and my neck, shoulders, back and arms massaged. Massage style was Asian style is the best way I can describe it. Hot towels were used to wipe the oils off my arms after the arm massage and then my arms were towel dried. Lastly, my hair was blow dried and finished off with a hair spray. I noticed my scalp felt really clean afterwards. The price point was great especially when there is a promotion this month. Also, not many places offer the hair spa experience in Surrey so this is good alternative than having to go all the way to Richmond or Vancouver.

My extensions last a good six weeks before I need to get them re-done. I always get the Queen Set and Alannah completely customizes the lashes for you - through a couple of visits and experimentation on my part, we decided on alternating 11 and 12 length eyelashes in a C curl, my ideal lashes. So many salons don't ever give you a choice of what you want, they just slap whatever product they've got on you. She also packs in as many lashes as possible so the effect is truly transforming and somehow still very natural. She's also great to talk to and very personable, making the entire experience very relaxing and comfortable.
