Five stars for Junie's pediatrician and this practice!…read more We see Dr. Melissa Lindenau, and we've also seen the Nurse Practitioner Micah. We're delighted to have such a talented, capable doctor and her talented team so close to our house, but it is worth a drive for an easy-going pediatrician who goes out of her way to make sure I'm not super stressed about the little things (a bout of diaper rash or a little cold) but have all the support I need on the big things (breastfeeding, vaccinations, etc.). She is a mom of four, so she has a lot of valuable insights for a busy working mom. We also love Amy and Jennifer on the office staff, and Dr. Lindenau's main nurse, Ashley. She is just as important to our experience as Dr. L, and she is a wonderful nurse. She's very good at her job, equally great with kids and parents, and we just really like her bedside manner. They've been able to get us in quickly the two times we've needed to be seen so far for something other than regularly-scheduled appointments. Most recently when I called, they got me in within an hour to see the NP, which was all we needed and worked perfectly for us. The other reason to go here is they are affiliated with Children's Hospital, which is clearly the hospital of choice for young children in OKC. Meaning, Junie's pediatrician would have privileges at Children's should we need that for any reason. I hope we don't need that, but it is a good think to think about just in case. I like to think this will Juniper's doctor until she's in college!

Dr.Lynd is amazing, she's been our pediatrician for both of our children since the day they were…read moreborn. But now I'm considering to switch. One star goes to the waiting time- it's getting longer and longer every time for the appointments that were scheduled months ahead. It's used to be about an hour. Now don't expect to be done less than 1.5-2 hours- out of which the actual nurse/doctor interaction will be 10 min tops! All the other time is just waiting! Expect to wait 30-40 min past your scheduled time in the lobby. After a nurse walks you in the room and takes vitals, you will be waiting another 30-40 min to be seen by the doctor for 5 min interaction and after that waiting again 20-30 min to get shots. And the worst was today- Dr.Lynd's nurse gave me the attitude instead of being apologetic when I pointed out the unreasonable waiting time!

I have no point of reference for anything involving my baby. I feel like I'm constantly asking, "Is…read morethis normal? Is it supposed to happen this way?" This is also true in regards to pediatricians. I have no other pediatric group to compare to this pediatric group. Therefore, I don't know if what I've experienced (or am experiencing) here is the norm. What I do know is, when we asked all of our friends and family members for their recommended pediatricians, the following names were mentioned repeatedly: - Tara Lynd, MD - Vijaya Malpani, MD - Kala Sigler, MD - Denise Scott, MD - Hamed Albiek, MD As it turns out, every physician mentioned above is part of the same pediatric group, known as The Pediatric Group (not a very imaginative name, but whatevs). There four additional practitioners (two more pediatricians and two physician associates, if I remember correctly) whose names would have probably come up as well if we had kept asking for more recommendations. My point is: the fact that so many people (whose opinions we value and trust) simultaneously pointed us to the same pediatricians over and over seemed like a good sign. Our child's pediatrician is Dr. Lynd. When we first met her, my first question was going to be (as stupid as it sounds): "Do you like children?" It's a legitimate question... I've met some exceptionally terrible people who are medical professionals only because they have the mental capacity to survive the rigors of their medical program. At the same time, they're frequently lacking the grace, compassion and general wherewithal one would expect from someone who supposedly wants to care for other human beings. Anyway, before I got the chance to ask, Dr. Lynd told us that she loves children (as a doctor and as a parent). She's friendly and soft-spoken, and nothing really seems to phase her. Which is nice, because it calms us down when we feel like something may be wrong, and she's like "Nah, that's normal." Every visit thus far has left us feeling more confident about our role as parents; Dr. Lynd exudes a quiet confidence, which she somehow manages to pass on to us. The only downside as far as interactions with the staff would be one person. I dunno what her role is; she's either a nurse or a medical assistant. She's younger, and Hispanic (maybe?). And she is the farthest thing from friendly. Any time we get her as the person who checks our kid's vitals and whatnot, we sigh internally. I mean, why bother asking "Do you have any questions?" if you're already slamming the door on our face as you're asking it? She clearly doesn't like children. Or human beings from what I've gathered. Or maybe she just doesn't like dealing with us? I dunno what her malfunction is, but she needs to get it checked out.

We came in simply to meet a new pediatrician after our previous doctor retired. What was supposed to be a routine introduction quickly turned into one of the most traumatic medical experiences of my life. Before my dad could even give consent, Dr. Aston had already ordered three vaccinations and stated that we would be charged no matter what. There was no conversation, no explanation, and no attempt to make me feel safe. I was 13 years old. When I realized I was about to receive three shots without any warning or preparation, I had immediate and overwhelming anxiety. Instead of giving me even a moment to breathe or calm down, two nurses physically restrained me. They held down my legs and chest while I cried and begged them to stop. Without asking for permission, they pulled down my pants to give the shots in my leg. I felt completely exposed and powerless. In the middle of this, one of the nurses knocked both of my cochlear implants off. Suddenly, I couldn't hear anything. I was completely cut off from the world around me, unable to understand what was happening, unable to communicate, and unable to see clearly as my arms were being held down against my chest. It was terrifying. I was tense, scared, and in pain. But more than that, I felt stripped of any control over my own body. That feeling has never fully gone away. Even now, years later, I can still remember exactly how it felt, physically and emotionally. I am now 20 years old and entering the medical field myself. This experience has shaped me deeply, and it will always serve as a reminder of the kind of provider I refuse to become. Patients, especially children, deserve dignity, consent, and compassion. I was not given any of those things here.

When I told them I would like to wait and do research (like if my insurance covered the shot) was told if I didn't get it today I would be charged for it no matter what because they already drew it up. And be charged again when we decide to do it.

You'll need your ID, insurance card and debit card. If you're ready, you won't have to wait as long, and that waiting room gets pretty packed with sick kids so you don't want to be in there any longer than you have to be. The office staff and nurses are not very friendly, but maybe I wouldn't be either if I had to spend all day Saturday taking care of sick children. I came in last Saturday with our little girl. The waiting room is spotless, and they get you in quickly. We were here when they opened at 10 and we were talking to a nurse by 10:10. Not long after that we were in an exam room with the doctor. Dr. Moore saw us, and took good care of us. He was thorough and friendly, but I could have used his instructions either printed out because he talks really fast. After we left I wished I had taken notes. But that's on me - I'm sure the ten families sitting in the waiting room by the time we left were super happy he moves quickly. They sent our prescriptions to the pharmacy and we were back in the car, on our way to get the promised donuts by 10:45. Not too shabby.

I was thoroughly impressed with the level of care and service provided. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly faces, which immediately put us at ease. I was able to make an appointment online via Solv App and they were ready to take us back when we arrived. The facility itself is bright, colorful, and inviting. The waiting area is clean and well-organized, with comfortable seating, not that we spent much time there. What really stood out to me was the quality of care we received. The pediatrician and nurses were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind, taking the time to explain everything to us in a way that we could understand. They were also very thorough in their examinations and took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns. One thing that really impressed me was the level of communication and follow-up care provided. The pediatrician made sure to give us clear instructions on how to care for our child at home, as well as follow-up instructions for our regular pediatrician. Overall, I would highly recommend this after-hours pediatric care center to any parents looking for high-quality, compassionate care for their children. The staff is truly exceptional, and I felt confident that my child was in good hands from start to finish. Five stars all around!
