Shoyu Poke Nachos is da bomb! For $11.00 it is a deal. Tastes Ono! Will definitely order this again!

Shoyu Poke Nachos is da bomb. Located in Honolulu Airport next to United Airlines Baggage Claim 31. Will definitely order this again

At St. Francis on Wednesdays. Great poke bowls.

Fried chips, rice, poke, onions, radish sprouts, nori, pickled ginger, pickled daikon, ogo, sesame seeds and a bit of carrot. This poke bowl is more than a bed of rice with poke on top. This is ridiculously good for a food truck. All I can say it try this place.

The first time I visited them was at the UH Manoa campus, I had a limu poke nacho bowl, only because the spicy ahi was sold out. The ahi was fresh and the nachos were crispy (except the bottom pieces which soaked up the shoyu from the poke seasonings). I like that it came with toppings (can't remember what, it was a few weeks ago) and looked pretty. I do remember thinking it was quite salty though, and a tad pricey. But then it's fresh ahi. Today, at the SOEST Open House also on campus, I got the large shave ice with watermelon, root beer, and lemon lime. It was $5 for a large and $4 for small, so it's a no-brainer which one I got! The ice was shaved fine and the syrups taste light, not crazy sweet, and seemed homemade. (But I don't know if they make their own syrups or not.) It was the perfect treat for a sweltering day. My only gripe is the wait... wait to order, wait for food. I understand most days it's just the two aunties in the truck-- one to make the food/bowls and the other to take the order and payment. The Aunty in the front is ALWAYS very patient and smiley, and I really appreciate that, imagining how hot and back-aching it must be standing all day in the truck. They also usually have local music playing in the background, which helps set the mood, I guess!! I might try their $5 quesadilla specials some time, if I go early enough and there's no line.

Panini Pastrami Sandwich

We came across this food truck at the Mililani Tech Park area next to Spectrum Hawaii building. My wife ordered their Panini "pastrami" sandwich with sauerkraut and cheese. The sandwich meal also included a pickle and cole slaw. It was very good satisfying according to her.

I absolutely recommend the fresh fruit smoothies here we had pineapple and it was so thick and delicious. No ice used. We then went back for shaved ice. It was soooo yummy. Highly recommended. The ladies are super friendly too.

Best Açaí Bowls in Town!!! My honey and I love going to Sandy Beach and would pay a visit to these sweet ladies every time while we were in town. Their poke bowls are also very delicious - every, single thing we tried on their menu was very tasty! Amazing food and fantastic, friendly customer service. Highly recommend!

Just-Ice serves the best shave ice I've tasted in the island! Fluffy ice and homemade syrups make this the place to go! Tasty and friendly

This is my new favorite shave ice stop. The girls are so friendly and the shave ice is light, soft and fluffy; the perfect consistency! All of the syrups are homemade and the lychee, pineapple and mango I had was delicious. They also have sorbet and gelato which was a big hit with my party. The açaí bowls look phenomenal and I will try it next time. You've got to check this truck out at Sandy Beach for authentic Hawaiian shave ice!

Garlic chicken!…read more December 31, 2015 There were only a few items on the menu, eight to be exact, and I was happy with my order! I selected the Garlic Chicken (#7) and the chicken was crispy, tasty, and juicy in the inside. The meal came with two scoops of rice and green salad. It was a good size portion. Well, for $12 I expected it to be, at least! Other items offered at this food truck was Local Fish (#6), Salt and Pepper Shrimp (#5), Kahuku Garlic Shrimp, Pineapple Shrimp (#2), Spicy Garlic Shrimp (#3), and Coconut Shrimp (#4)... He was the only food truck at this location at the time so he made bank. $7.00 for a mini and $11.99 for a regular plate. Fries is $2.50/ea. A can of soda is $1 each. The owner was nice and friendly. Cash only basis as with most food trucks. Was able to try this food truck while he was on location at Sandy Beach Park. Review #0408

Nothing less than great!…read more We spent a few hours on Sandy Beach. Feeling a bit hungry we spotted this Food Truck on the parking lot of Sandy Beach. With the blue paintjob it's impossible to miss. We ordered some Ice-Tea, Wings, Garlic Shrimp and Fish'n'Chips. And I can say that the food was nothing less than fantastic! The shrimps had a good size and were cooked to perfection. Nice garlic flavour, nicely balanced. The Wings were hot and crispy. The Fish was very fresh and tender. We didn't expect much, but ended up with one of the best Food Truck meals we've had on Hawaii. Prices are about 12$ a meal....about average compared to other trucks....but more than fair considering the quality. Sandy Beach is the perfect spot to hang out a bit and grab some good food at this Truck. Highly recommended!

Okay-- BEST POKE ON THE TRIP AWARD goes to... this spot…read more We've had Ono before, on a prev. trip. Great. But then we fell hard for Off-the-Hook. This trip... Ono Seafood won the battle. This poke was SO FRESH, I could taste the knife, the boat, the water, the morning sun... all in good ways. It was divine. The catch? Maybe their DRY RUB... I have spicy habits, and tend to get poke lathered in spicy sauce. This poke had no sauce, just a dry salt / pepper rub - and the dryness of the fish, helped me TRULY taste the TEXTURE, freshness, and the QUALITY of the fish. Blown away. The owner (or manager) came out to check on us, and thank us for coming out. Told us the fish had been REALLY good lately, out there on the water. We could taste it. Love the tempura flakes they add on top. Can't wait to go back!

They have fresh ahi and tako poke which you can get by the pound or as bowls. The regular is $16 and the large is $18 and you can have a choice of two kinds of poke. I got the Hawaiian style tako poke with limu and chili pepper and it's yum! Might say tho, it's a little heavy on the Hawaiian salt. It also has a bit of a kick from the chili pepper. It's served plain but you can add on things like furikake, ginger for 75 cents or avocado slices for $1.50. Also you can get it with white or brown rice. Not all places has tako poke as part of the regular menu so if you like tako and you're in Hawaii Kai or coming in from Sandy's or Waimanalo side, stop here for your fix.

Making it your own…read more.. That's what I do love about this discovery at Makana Mkt at Ka Makana Ali'i where they have it twice a week and this Sunday from 11a-3p I found this cute little card and it was Aloha Poke Bar which is obvious is a mobile cart which is absolutely cute and does exactly that where the menu describes the offerings for the day which was Classic, Tornado and what I got is Volcano their version of the spicy ahi. Bowls come in two sizes and though my thoughts was large though I got the small which is just $13 and all bowls comes with white rice topped with the poke of your choice and it doesn't end there you get unlimited toppings and I believe there was six types to which I got the pickled red onions and crispy onions (I later realized they were both onions lol!) there was also ocean salad, pickled cucumbers, furikake. The gentleman asked if I wanted inamona and spicy sauce...uuuhh yes! Poke is obviously premade and the list of the ingredients are all in as well as my Volcano which I though for me personally wasn't spicy enough was made with mayo, sriracha chili sauce, sesame oil, and green onions and thankfully it didn't have much green onions which I don't like but hey it adds the flavor. Rice cooked just right and the toppings complimented it all to my happy belly and was a pleasant find on this gloomy rainy day as the service was nice and friendly which brought the vibe to another level at this cute little cart. Thank you!
