Shoyu Poke Nachos is da bomb! For $11.00 it is a deal. Tastes Ono! Will definitely order this again!

Shoyu Poke Nachos is da bomb. Located in Honolulu Airport next to United Airlines Baggage Claim 31. Will definitely order this again

At St. Francis on Wednesdays. Great poke bowls.

Fried chips, rice, poke, onions, radish sprouts, nori, pickled ginger, pickled daikon, ogo, sesame seeds and a bit of carrot. This poke bowl is more than a bed of rice with poke on top. This is ridiculously good for a food truck. All I can say it try this place.

The first time I visited them was at the UH Manoa campus, I had a limu poke nacho bowl, only because the spicy ahi was sold out. The ahi was fresh and the nachos were crispy (except the bottom pieces which soaked up the shoyu from the poke seasonings). I like that it came with toppings (can't remember what, it was a few weeks ago) and looked pretty. I do remember thinking it was quite salty though, and a tad pricey. But then it's fresh ahi. Today, at the SOEST Open House also on campus, I got the large shave ice with watermelon, root beer, and lemon lime. It was $5 for a large and $4 for small, so it's a no-brainer which one I got! The ice was shaved fine and the syrups taste light, not crazy sweet, and seemed homemade. (But I don't know if they make their own syrups or not.) It was the perfect treat for a sweltering day. My only gripe is the wait... wait to order, wait for food. I understand most days it's just the two aunties in the truck-- one to make the food/bowls and the other to take the order and payment. The Aunty in the front is ALWAYS very patient and smiley, and I really appreciate that, imagining how hot and back-aching it must be standing all day in the truck. They also usually have local music playing in the background, which helps set the mood, I guess!! I might try their $5 quesadilla specials some time, if I go early enough and there's no line.

We came across this food truck at the Mililani Tech Park area next to Spectrum Hawaii building. My wife ordered their Panini "pastrami" sandwich with sauerkraut and cheese. The sandwich meal also included a pickle and cole slaw. It was very good satisfying according to her.

I absolutely recommend the fresh fruit smoothies here we had pineapple and it was so thick and delicious. No ice used. We then went back for shaved ice. It was soooo yummy. Highly recommended. The ladies are super friendly too.

Best Açaí Bowls in Town!!! My honey and I love going to Sandy Beach and would pay a visit to these sweet ladies every time while we were in town. Their poke bowls are also very delicious - every, single thing we tried on their menu was very tasty! Amazing food and fantastic, friendly customer service. Highly recommend!

Just-Ice serves the best shave ice I've tasted in the island! Fluffy ice and homemade syrups make this the place to go! Tasty and friendly

This is my new favorite shave ice stop. The girls are so friendly and the shave ice is light, soft and fluffy; the perfect consistency! All of the syrups are homemade and the lychee, pineapple and mango I had was delicious. They also have sorbet and gelato which was a big hit with my party. The açaí bowls look phenomenal and I will try it next time. You've got to check this truck out at Sandy Beach for authentic Hawaiian shave ice!

This small storefront is located near Koko Head Trail, so we stopped by after a pretty intense hike. There is a variety of sizes and lots of flavors to choose from. I personally got the cotton candy and lychee, and it was a perfect balance. The shaved ice was soft and flavorful without being overly sweet or sticky, and a small was the perfect size. The worker was also very nice and patient with our large group. To our surprise, we also learned that Obama had visited this place and that his favorite flavors were lime and cherry. I can confirm those flavors are also very good.

Whenever we head out to Makapuʻu, we used to always stop by Uncle Clay's House of Pure Aloha. Since they closed down, we decided to try Kokonuts for the first time. I had high hopes because of the photos on the wall of President Obama and Isaac Sopoaga's #NinerNation, but the quality just wasn't there. The shave ice itself wasn't shaved well. It was chunky, which is disappointing since smooth ice is the standard here in Hawaiʻi. The flavors tasted like generic, high-sugar syrups, and the mochi was tiny and buried at the very bottom. To top it off, there was nowhere to sit and no trash can available for customers. It is hard to compete when there are so many other amazing shave ice spots on Oahu. To make matters worse, my wife ordered an acai bowl that ended up having a hair in it. We ultimately had to throw both the shave ice and the acai bowl away. For $24, you would at least expect better quality and better food safety. Sadly, we won't be back.

Its low Yelp ratings don't help to justify its popularity with the local Hawaii Kai community, as many of the negative issues rested with its prior owner many years ago. Its current owner, Ru Jun T. has improved the business by making major renovations, offering creative menu specials, and listening to their customers. Its menu offerings include: * Breakfast (served all day). Big, pancake, steak & eggs, fish & eggs, omelets, sides. * Daily specials (weekdays). Beef stew, chili, sweet sour spareribs, pot roast, salt & pepper pork chop. * Plate lunch. Seafood; chicken; pork; beef; combo plates of mixed BBQ short ribs, chicken & teri steak or hamburger steak w/ stew, curry or chili. * House specialties. Chicken, fish, shrimp, steak, beef w/ broccoli, adobo, mushroom chicken, mapo tofu. * Saimin & bowls. Gau gee mein, beef chow fun, beef curry/stew bowl, chili bowl, Japanese fried noodles, shrimp char sui fried rice. * Sandwiches. Burgers, chicken, shrimp, beef, fish filet, hot dog. If you ask any Hawaii Kai resident why they love Loco Moco, they (including myself) will scream MOCHIKO CHICKEN! Yes, it is their signature dish, and they do it well, even if it's a mini plate or a party pan! Also, as owner Ru Jun is Chinese, some of the popular menu offerings are Chinese-inspired, e.g., beef chow fun, egg rolls, gau gee, ginger chicken, mushroom chicken, turkey jook, watercress tofu chicken soup, shrimp & char siu fried rice, etc. All items are made to order so that you receive your plates hot and fresh. Some of the items we've tried include: * Mochiko chicken. Always a winner, as their signature chicken dish is perfectly marinated with soy sauce, ginger, garlic, sugar and fried with lots of crunchy panko! * BBQ chicken. Nicely marinated whole pieces of delicious chicken thighs as an entrée or can be used for sandwiches. Instead of rice and salad, we ask for only meat, and staff obliges (we already have sides at home). * Mushroom chicken. Tasty crunchy chicken pieces with lots of mushrooms and gravy! * Watercress pork tofu soup. When under the weather, this hot soup soothes you and you feel better already! Delicious Chinese-style soup! Customer service is efficient, quick, and friendly. Staff will remind you to enter your cell phone number in their Five Stars Rewards Program. There are a few tables if you want to dine in; however, most customers order on a take-out basis. No ambiance, as customers wait for their orders. There is a Teapresso Bar located in the Loco Moco shared space if you desire boba teas. Hours of operation are daily 8:00a to 8:45p. Located next to Bank of HI and Petco, theree parking in the Koko Marina Shopping Center that is shared with other vendors in the complex. Loco Moco offers affordable prices, generous portions, and authentic flavors for locals and tourists that want you to return for more. And their signature mochiko chicken that is so tasty, knowing that there always will be more! Continued success to the Ru Jun Family in offering great food in HI Kai! Support local!

I couldn't finish the food due to the large portion sizes but it's the perfect size for two people. As for the adobo omelette, it comes with fried rice. The fried rice taste very familiar like my grandmother's cooking the very distinct white pepper taste. The service is friendly and the food came out fast. Ambience wise the premises are decorated heavily, but it does provide a quick one stop shop for food.. especially if you're going to be hiking or walking a trail after. Highly recommend stopping by just to fill out loco moco craving.

Such a lovely experience!…read more My friend and I arrived at 6 pm on Saturday, with no reservation, but there were no other customers at the moment so it was all good. However, I noticed everyone else that arrived after us - 3 different groups, all had reservations, because it is in fact a very a small establishment, so I think in the future we would get a reservation! The servers/owners(?) were so nice, food came out relatively quickly, and it was so fresh and delicious, everything cooked to perfection! I ordered the cold soba (though this was kind of silly of me because I was already cold) and tempura plus salmon nigiri. Quite pricey (about $50 after tip) for a meal for one but I'm glad I tried it. My friend ordered the seared mackerel and honestly I was so shocked how delicious it was, just melts in your mouth! I would definitely go back :)

A Cozy Spot for Japanese Brunch Cravings…read more We were craving a Japanese breakfast, and Koko Inaba was a great find. Tucked away in Koko Marina, it is a small, quaint space with a counter where you can watch the chef work and several tables for seating. Soba, udon, sashimi, tempura -- you pick what you are craving. I ordered the udon with assorted tempura, and everything was done well. The tempura had the perfect fry and crunch, and the udon had a satisfying bite to it. A quiet, welcoming spot for a comforting Japanese meal in East O'ahu.
