To be completely honest, I thought it was even a little better than the Union Turnpike location. I ordered the chicken over rice with white sauce, and they gave a generous portion of white sauce (which Halal Munchies is known for). Everything was seasoned well, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. With past orders at different places, I've occasionally gotten a piece of chicken that wasn't as tasty, but this time every piece was excellent.

I guess he is a growing boy! I decided to order myself some seasoned fries. Can pay with either cash or card. Told that it would be a few minutes. We moved to the side. They have a few high tables and chairs if people would like to eat there. Fridge with juices or sodas & cakes. Also a freezer with ice cream. Service was fast and we able to head out. The portions are huge! Nephew stated that everything was good. Also received white sauce, hot sauce and green sauce on the side so he can adjust to how much he wanted. Fries were good as well.

07/17 Searching for…read morea Gyro in St. Albans, I found my myself at Halal Grill Eats. After reading all of the reviews in its entirety, I strongly believe that the 5 starts are based upon their signature dishes. I really need to start with the customer service, it was trademark level, the gentleman taking my order, exceeded all of my expectations and delivered exceptional customer service and engagement. 5/5 and I would love to stop here, but I have to proceed with the entire visit. Walking in, the atmosphere seems pretty neat, offering countertop dining by standing and I discovered a very small cozy dining set-up on the Merrick Ave side entrance. There is not much to their decorations but the restaurant was bright and stocked well, more on that later. I ordered the Lamb Gyro to go, with the appropriate toppings and sauces. When I returned home to enjoy my lamb Gyro, ooohh boy ooohh boy, what a let down. The lamb Gyro was dry, salty, and very spicy. Who in the H. E. hockey sticks puts spicy sauce on a freaking Gyro. It was the worst Gyro ever. It left me with bubbly guts. I know TMI !!! I also ordered the cherry cream cheese cake and a carrot cake. THE STOCK** The cakes were intentionally stocked to the max and merchandised well. I think to well. I say this because the cakes looks like no one touched them. So when I started eating the cherry cheese cake, it was warm. I started feeling nauseous after consuming it. I prayed that I could hold it down. I ate the carrot cake the next day after taking it out of the refrigerator. I threw it away after a couple bites it was not to my liking and I love cheese cake, but this had an awkward taste. So I'm led to believe that the cakes are one or two things. 1. Left in the cooler and not disposed when they are older than shelf life, or 2. Ordered from another facility as is, (old). I do need to mention the serious concerns for improvement, like when you are making the food and you leave it out on the counter waiting to add topping etc ... Make sure you don't have flies flying around landing on the food. I saw a fly do a touch and go like it was performing for an air show. See video! I won't be back to get there significant dishes or the burger as one Yelper advise. One star rounded up to two because of customer service but the other things mentioned kept it a low star review. In conclusion, I really didn't want to be that guy to give less than 5 stars, so I'll give mercy and say that this review is on the Lamb Gyro, Cherry cheese cake, and the carrot cake. I wish I had more to give, still... Inspire more, Yelp more!

The meal came with basmati rice and a piece of bread as well a side salad. I'll be honest the bread wasn't really my focus, but the rice, chicken and sauce definitely were. The chicken was flavorful and cooked really well, and the rice paired perfectly with it. The sauce brought everything together. I even ordered an extra large one, and it came in a really cool bottle, which was a nice touch. Everything was fresh, tasty, and exactly what I needed. My kebab craving was definitely satisfied. I'd order from here again.

Inside is kinda narrow, but has decent seating. I admit I didn't thoroughly study the menu but they had some things that caught my eye. A loaded Cheeseburger called the Shiekh Supreme, Mozzarella Fries and the Zero Sugar Dr. Pepper which is quite the rarity. Service was essentially fast food tier which was OK but it is better than that of a typical fast food joint so I won't hammer too hard on them with that. The food is solid though. The Cheeseburger, albeit a tad greasy was a delight on the taste buds. It was beef certainly done proper. The mozzy sticks were nicely breaded and crisp with the right amount of cheese pull. The food is kinda pricey, but the spot is worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood.
