Barbacoa with cauliflower.
Orawan N.

I have to admit they're delicious! The cauliflower was a surprise. It's breaded and fried but it has a buffalo sauce taste to it. It's delicious!!! I love their serving portions and how the food tastes. I've ordered from them twice now.... So I'll definitely make a third and so on at some point. I've always seen the restaurant from outside. It has an avocado in its name (guactime). I've ordered through Uber eats but the food is always prepared quickly with an a good presentation. The service is fast. I will definitely see them again soon.

I just saw a bug in my half way eaten food! I will no longer eat from here. They are not clean! & last month I received old molded guac. Never again

Great late night spot, with large portions, and fresh food. A better version of chipotle. Lots of options for toppings and sauces

Noticed order was prepared wrong and we were missing items from the order. Not a good experience!

Recently ordered from this place. I placed an order on uber and it was delivered so quickly. I had specific instructions to put the sauce on the side and they followed my instructions. My tostada bowl arrived very quickly and food was hot. Also, the portion was huge. I will be ordering again. I appreciate having another halal spot to order from.

Came on Tuesday night (taco tuesdayyyyyy!) I was excited to try after seeing ads about this place. Store was clean, they're open late, and wasn't too busy (they had a few online orders). My food probably took 5-10 minutes before I got it. Got birria chicken taco which I wouldn't get again but it doesn't taste bad.

Horrible. Worse than chipotle. I got a Burrito bowl delivered with Uber eats. I ordered many toppings that were barely there and/or missing. Romaine lettuce, corn, avocado ranch, sour cream, Mexican cheese, and paid extra for tortilla strips, Im pissed. If you don't have certain ingredients CONTACT THE CUSTOMER. How do you expect people to be returning customers after receiving crap like this?! Nothing makes me more mad than spending my hard earned money and getting stuff like this in return. Such a damn waste. DO BETTER. I HOPE THE OWNER READS THIS. Keep serving crap like this and I'm sure someone will make a tik tok that will go viral. Unbelievable.

A recently new spot in the heart of Hollis. Went one night and was craving tacos, and right off the bat the service is quick and friendly! The ladies that helped my friend and I were exceptionally wonderful. They made sure that we were set on our order and really packed our tacos with meat. They offer soft or hard tacos so that was pretty interesting. We got chicken tacos as well as ground chicken tacos. You can put whatever toppings you'd like in their and they have a variety of sauces to choose from. The place is very clean & they offer burritos and quesadillas too!! I definitely will come back to try their churros and try out their burrito if I'm extra hungry!

First time coming here and it did not disappoint. If you're looking for a halal version of Chipotle for a fraction of the cost, this is your spot. Everything was fresh. Service was quick and polite. I'll be back for the quesadilla. Thanks again!!

I personally would not eat here again. The workers were rude and unprofessional, and have now real knowledge of their own menu.

El Ranchero Mexican Restaurant - Carne Asada Chimichanga

El Ranchero Mexican Restaurant

Flushing, Murray Hill

Not fluent in English, but very friendly service. They have an extensive menu! They give complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa is a sweet tomato-y salsa and the chips are crisp. The Chimichanga with Cecina (Salted Beef) was stuffed! Crisp fried exterior, covered in flavorful red (tomato-y) and green (herb-y) sauces. The cecina is perfectly salted. I enjoyed the guac and chips (same as the complimentary chips) and pico on the side added freshness. They also have a house red and green sauce, which have a good kick and flavor to them. The Pineapple Juice is the right amount of sweetness and tart. I like that there's no ice so it's a full glass of juice! Overall a neat local spot to hit up for good food and friendly service (and a full bar!).

Mexican (and Tex-Mex) isn't an option that Queens lacks, but about a year ago the Chilaquiles on…read morethe menu put El Ranchero on my radar. Surprisingly, it is a dish that is hard to find in the Flushing/Fresh Meadows area especially in a sit down, comfortable restaurant. The Chilaquiles was a nice little plate of deliciousness - I loved the tangy green salsa soaked bed of tortilla with nicely fried over easy eggs (they way I ordered it). A fan of avocado, tomato and onions top the dish as well - it comes with a side of rice and beans. I recently returned when I was in the mood for enchiladas - they have combo option with beef, chicken and cheese. I ordered them divorced style with both red and green salsa. It comes blanketed with a shredded lettuce salad with tomato, onions and avocado. Rice and beans round out the dish. A couple of other dishes I tasted were the eggs with chorizo and the chimichanga - both were very good. I love their house salsas both a dark red and green one. They bring out tortilla chips with a thick salsa that is tomato-ey sweet. They have a full bar if you are so inclined and the service is very good here.

After having dinner, my friend and I were walking around when we came across "Ruta Oaxaca Mexican…read moreCuisine." Ironically, earlier while trying to decide where to go for dinner, I had sent this restaurant to my friend but we ended up going somewhere else and came here for drinks afterward. The drinks were really good! We tried the "Sexy Oaxaca," which consists of 7 Misterios Doba-Yej Mezcal, Cointreau, grilled pineapple, mint agave, fresh lemon, and warm salt. This drink takes your taste buds on a ride. It starts off light and refreshing with the mezcal throughout, then finishes with a smoky effect from the pineapple since it's lit. It was really good!! I also tried the "VIP Old Fashion," made with Patrón Extra Añejo, Nixta corn liqueur, Angostura, and orange bitters. This was also good and was smoked prior to being served, giving it a smoky aftertaste. It's definitely a drink you sip slowly. Although we arrived about an hour and a half before closing, the waiter was very polite and professional. They also didn't rush us out once it was closing time, which I appreciated. There were other customers still there enjoying themselves as well. I will definitely be back for dinner. I'm very curious to see what the food is like. I really enjoyed the drinks.

Nothing bad, but I felt like it could've been a bit better overall. The food was good though, I ordered the mixtos tacos, which let's you pick three different tacos from the menu. It was around $23, which is a little pricey. But the tacos were a decent size and definitely filling. My favorite thing I tried was the chori queso. I never had it before and it was honestly the standout dish for me. I would order that again. I also tried the enquites which is street corn. It had a bit of a burnt taste. I know some people enjoy that smokey flavor, but it really wasn't for me. Overall, it was a nice time and for some of the dishes too.
