There are a lot of places nearby, but the area lacks some food diversity. The burritos are good. The honey chipotle chicken is a hit. I have to admit they're delicious! The cauliflower was a surprise. It's breaded and fried but it has a buffalo sauce taste to it. It's delicious!!! I love their serving portions and how the food tastes. I've ordered from them twice now.... So I'll definitely make a third and so on at some point. I've always seen the restaurant from outside. A recently new spot in the heart of Hollis. Went one night and was craving tacos, and right off the bat the service is quick and friendly! The ladies that helped my friend and I were exceptionally wonderful. They made sure that we were set on our order and really packed our tacos with meat. They offer soft or hard tacos so that was pretty interesting. We got chicken tacos as well as ground chicken tacos. You can put whatever toppings you'd like in their and they have a variety of sauces to choose from. The place is very clean & they offer burritos and quesadillas too!! I've had tacos from many places in my lifetime! This place is the first where they put cinnamon in their beef birria. Yes, cinnamon! It was the most disgusting taste EVER! No one puts cinnamon in tacos! Definitely not in birria tacos! I thought the consume would mask the cinnamon flavor of the birria tacos. I was wrong! The consume had even more cinnamon in it. I call the establishment to ask if they put cinnamon and was told that they put cinnamon and other spices in the broth for the beef and chicken. I tried to explain to this person that cinnamon does not belong ANYWHERE in or on birria tacos. I was told that someone else may like it! She then asked me "what do you want me to do, huh?!" Clearly they do not care about customer feedback. They will continue serving garbage food until the wheels fall off the business! The worst part is I am not the only person who ate this food. Two other family members echoed my feelings about this food. We equally feel sick to our stomachs less than thirty minutes after eating this food! I also ordered two soft tacos with honey chipotle chicken. They looked packed, but I noticed it was mostly lettuce. These tacos were ok. The chicken did not have any honey or chipotle flavor. Just regular adobo chicken. I got mango salsa, salsa verde, nacho cheese, lettuce, and pico de gallo. The nacho cheese never made it on my tacos. They put shredded cheddar cheese. The lettuce, salsa, and pico de gallo all had a weird rotting fruit/vegetable smell to them. It was like all the ingredients used (except the chicken) were days old. The lettuce was turning brown in some areas. I ate one taco and my stomach began hurting worse than with the birria tacos. They need to totally revamp their recipe and customer service! This experience left me with a definite feeling of never return there again! Even if that is the only place left on the planet to eat! Even if they offer the food free because they are the only food establishment left on the planet, I will pass! I do not even want drinks from this place! Not even water! All of that would probably taste like cinnamon too! They'll probably tell me the cinnamon is a part of their water supply. I hope the owners see this review and make IMMEDIATE CHANGES! What you are currently serving customers is NOT authentic birria tacos! Not even your soft tacos were good! That's easy to make so I'm confused how you could mess up something so simple!
