He'd rather drive up the road there than around the corner to Uncles, my preference because bigger selections. Last night after years of being loyal customers, he has even applied there a year ago trying not to have to go into his profession he went to school for LOL!!! He purchased 3 packs of cigarettes, x2 5$ lottery tickets & tried to buy for the lotto at 9:40 PM when it's down time!!!! Not telling him it's too late they're making the sale yet didn't give him the tickets!!! He gets to the truck & noticed this & went back to say hey I only got 3 packs of cigarettes & two 5$ scratch offs but gave you a 100$ bill & got less than 60$ cash back!!! Girl tells him there's nothing she can do "come back in the morning when the manager is here"... He goes back after work... No manager so he comes home... I called & thought we can call every 10 minutes until the manager shows up!!! I'm told "the manager will not be here today" so I gave a brief rundown and asked he was told to come in when they knew there wouldn't be anyone there?!? I need a number for the regional manager then and she was quick to point out there isn't one just an owner.... Well he's to review cameras & get back, & told him whatever, if they need to keep that extra ten dollars for the liars that's fine... He didn't want to interview my husband last year that's now coming up on a year being with his company!! Could've had an honest, knows how to deal with high stress situations but instead had a LIAR and a THIEF working behind the register!!!! As I've told my husband I understand the 3 packs for 20$ seems like a deal... Just fork up the rest & go to Walmart & get a carton!!! Don't go to this place!!!! They water down their gas & now evidently they keep your change acting like it's too hard to break a 100$ bill keeping or taking what they want from it!!!

In fact, I heard quite the opposite on a Bob and Karri youtube video recently. My complaint was that you couldn't walk to the Love's Truck Stop store from the RV park. Bob and Karri's complaint for another Love's that they stayed at on the east coast was that they were too close to the Love's Truck Stop store. So I guess not everyone can be pleased. Anyway, the bathrooms and showers were clean and private. We'd stay here again.

Can't remember if I've ever been through this town. Typical drive in Texas where I'm stuck behind 18 wheelers and of course at least one farm tractor for miles. Coordinating with my coworker who was driving in from Plainview for pickup we literally texted each other with a two minute difference in arrival time. The Crossing was the first gas station / convenience store I saw in town. Pulled in and once the exchange was done we ventured in for a potty break and drinks. First time seeing a salad bar in this type of business. And, it actually looked appealing! We've all traveled major roads in whatever state you're from. Yes, I've snickered at gas station sushi in Mississippi. There are things you DON'T want in this setting. Yet, The Crossing made it look seamless. Clean bathrooms at least on the mens side. Usual suspects like Hunt Brothers pizza present and a glass case full of fried goodness too. I think they do burgers too? We grabbed drinks not big enough for a million stops to return and went our separate ways. Ten employees working but nobody was super friendly.
