I was just a walk in and Austin, the owner who was in the front, said that I was welcome to stay but a haircut may not happen that day. Well, man, did I get lucky. Once Jay was finished with his customer in front of me he skipped his lunch break and put me in his chair (with a warning that if his scheduled appointment showed up after his break then I might have to wait a few hours or get on his calendar for the following Monday. As Jay was working on me Austin told him that there was the cancellation that I was hoping for. Jay is just an awesome guy with serious talent when it comes to cutting and shaping hair! I ended up having to find someone else to do my hair that day. It was a horrible experience trying to get my deposit refunded and she would not refund my trial with her. The only reason I did the trial was to see what we would do for the wedding day. I would not have spent $200 to get a trial done knowing she would flake out right before the wedding. For how much she costs I would expect her to be professional and honor her commitments. I would not trust her to do my hair, who knows if she will be there on your special day?

So, a few things that didn't go well at this salon. I came in for cut and color. Second, my blowout was "eh" but I say two other ladies get their blowouts done as if they were headed out to the hollywood red carpet. Third, my cut and color was much more expensive than my two friends that had it done a few weeks before and were charged much less. And something that bothered me since I was a perfectly new client to this salon....the lady who did my hair was talking poorly (very negatively) about one of their colleagues who was working right there in the salon. But as I could tell this worker was completely functional and did their job cutting many (4 or 5) gentleman's hair during the course of my 1.5 hour appointment. I've tried to reach out to the owner a few times to discuss and she will not coordinate a time with me to discuss. I'm a local, would love to endorse this salon, but given my first time experience here....I will not go back and would not recommend.
