We ordered from Just Chik'n for the first time tonight. We got a Rotisserie Chicken family meal. My Dad drove out and ordered it, and appreciated how nice the staff was. I'll start by saying that the chicken was EXCELLENT. Great flavor and seasoning. The rice was also good, as well as the fries. But what really tied it in for me was the AJI VERDE SAUCE. OMG that sauce is soooo good!! It has a really nice coolness when it first hits the tongue, and a great kick afterwards. I recommend using the sauce as a dip for the chicken, and to eat the rice plain in order to cool your mouth down if you need to. You could also mix the sauce in with the rice and eat it that way (that's what Dad ended up doing). The salad was also really good. I really liked the rainbow carrots! The only thing keeping me from giving it five stars is the size of the chicken itself. It was pretty small, and left our family of four with not quite enough chicken, and a lot of sides leftover. If you have a family of three or less, I wouldn't see it as an issue. I'd suggest getting an additional rotisserie chicken if you're ordering for four or more people. Overall, really good! My family will DEFINITELY be ordering from them again. read more

So to start off with I am not a chicken person, chicken wings yes, tenders maybe, but the aroma coming from this tiny restaurant was too much to pass up. We were next door at one of my favorite international markets called well...International Market and when we came out we followed our noses next door. Having not been there before my wife and I were not sure what we should get. We were not in the mood for Sandwich's so we looked at the Peruvian Classics. A whole chicken was too much so we went with the half and boy were we happy. We were told it would take about 20 min so we sat down and maybe 10 min later our order was ready. If I had this type of chicken when I was younger maybe I would not have avoided roast chicken for the past umpteen decades. Wow was the chicken juicy and the skin with the seasoning was spicy but just at the level that I don't think my wife took a breath while she was going at the dark meat.(yes I only like white meat when I have to eat chicken) The Aji Verde sauce is beyond compare and I think the over used saying of you could put that on flip flops and they would taste good fits here. The bright green color of the sauce is well...bright. The Chili Lime Sweet Potato Fries are the best I have had yet. no cinnamon sugar yippie!!!!!. Arroz Chaufa Rice was nice. Also included was 1 Alfajor Cookie, really 1 as this is a meal most likely shared with 2 people. Beyond the fact that there should be 2 Alfajor Cookie's in this meal it was one of the better shortbread cookies I have had. Just had Just Chick'n for the first time. This place is so good. Everything was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Also, it was ready fast. We had the Machu Bowl and nuggets. The bowl was absolutely delicious, with tender chicken, scrumptious Cajun beans, and lots of perfectly flavored veggies. The nuggets had a great crunch much different than your average fast-food nuggets. All in all, a great find. read more

Great location, very friendly staff! Clean and inviting business, follows Covid-19 regulations very well! I got the spicy chicken sandwich, it wasn't very spicy at all, but comes with buffalo sauce which makes up for it. The fried chicken was very juicy and the sandwich had a huge piece of chicken in it. Fries are fresh and very tasty but a small portion. Filling, doesn't make you feel heavy, awesome new restaurant! My wife and I have eaten here several times and it's been really good. Three days ago I bought a single half chicken meal with sweet potato fries and rice. So some reason the chicken had much more spices than previous visits and the resulting tastes sent me into a third dimension. I went here for the first time last weekend with my mom and my sister for lunch. The girl behind the counter was really sweet and helpful and recommended we try their "half Peruvian rotisserie chick'n meal" so we did and we split it between the 3 of us. There was enough food to fill all of us up and we were very impressed with the flavor and the pricing. The aji verde sauce was our favorite part but the entire meal was delicious. I don't get the comments about lack of flavor. These birds are so well seasoned and tasty. I had the 1/2 chicken meal, and really enjoyed it. Great food. I've been here twice, and I've only had the rotisserie chicken meal both times. Honestly I don't know why you would get anything else here. It's perfectly seasoned, chicken on the bone and the aji verde is pretty damn good. Unfortunately they have some small quality control consistency issues. First time I went, chicken was amazing, saucy, hot. The fries were skimpy and kinda sucked. The second time I went, fries were plentiful and hot, but the chicken was definitely drier ( you need the leftover sauce to mix with the rice, its amazing that way) and was also not that hot. Like it wasn't cold, maybe lukewarm at best. It didn't feel as fresh. This is a place worth putting in the regular rotation bc if it gets consistent, the food slaps. I've never had yucca fries before, so that was interesting. I ended up enjoying them and the seasoning that was on them. The chicken nuggets were standard, nothing special. I've always felt one key way to a successful restaurant is to do one thing and do it really really well. If you jump in and try to be like a cheesecake factory everything is just going to be mediocre. These guys seem to have that same philosophy and their menu matches their namesake. It is a small selection but the chicken is top notch and full of Peruvian flavor. You can tell their tenders and patties are not just frozen processed chicken...these are hand breaded and fresh. The breading is spiced very well and is not too bready or over-coated and is balanced very well with the chicken inside which is tender and juicy. The Aji Verde sauce is amazing and bursting with flavour. I truly think these guys should ditch the commercially packaged sauces and stick to all homemade ones. It was a little disappointing taking a deliciously hand breaded and seasoned tender and dipping it in some generic ken's BBQ sauce. Their buns are also somewhat underwhelming. I like that they are thin and light and don't overtake the chicken inside but they are rather plain. I think it would be nice if they were buttered and maybe toasted a bit on the griddle to a nice golden brown on one side to help bring the sandwich alive a bit. These guys are definitely a change from the typical fast-food bang it out in quantity not quality industry that is out there and with a few small improvements could really stand to set themselves apart and become a powerhouse family owned niche restaurant. read more

The seasoning was just BLAH . I can't even describe it really. Maybe that's how Peruvian spice is but I am not a fan. It's just bland. It really doesn't have any flavor. The arroz chaufa rice was very bland. No spice to talk about. Just white rice with some veg in it. I didn't eat it. The fries were decent. Pretty hard to mess those up. My buddy got the chicken sandwich and said it's wasn't bad but very under whelming. I'm kind of bummed because I really wanted to like this place. But for $17 and some change I should have been licking the plate at the end. Especially when chicken is all you do. Now maybe I got overly excited after reading the reviews , but now I'm thinking they were written by the employees and they're friends. The strips were incredible, the seasoning was amazing and the meat was so juicy and moist, believe me I am shocked how good these were!! Found this place less than a week ago and I've been back twice since then. Had the nuggets; delish, better than chicfila. Took home a whole chicken. It cost more than the supermarket but it was seasoned so much better, and the price really wasn't bad for fast food. The chicken strips were so good that I should have bought 2 orders instead of one. This is the best chicken that I've found in Rochester. Vegetable rice (carrots and peas) was tasty and fries were salty like I like them. Anymore salt would have been overkill. When you get your food you will want to eat it there or in the car park. If you going to take it home you best to take at least a few bites before hitting the road else the smell of that chicken in the car will have you speeding all the way home. Trust me. They sell bottled sodas and sparking water in cans. There are no straws nor cups. Not a problem if you drink from a bottle but not so good if you have a can. And you had some salty fries. You may want to walk with your straw. Food is tasty, prices are fair, service is fast and friendly and for these reasons this joint will be in heavy rotation. read more

Im in the run to find the best chicken sandwich in Monroe county. This lead me to bump into Just Chik'n. This place packs a lot of flavors for such a nonchalant name-- Just Chik'n, I love it. The service you get while ordering your food is nice. The ordering staff is kind and knowledgeable when when it comes to there menu. No need to say I ordered their chicken sandwich, yuca fries, and Champaign soda. I was like 8 years old since I had this flavored dink haha. Since I can actually enjoy real Champaign (sparkling wine), It was nostalgic to have a sip of champaign soda. The Yuca fries were on point. Nice and crisp in the outside and soft in the middle. The seasoning sprinkled on the fries was a perfect match for sure. Now for the piece of resistance, the Chicken sandwich. Id honestly say that it was not a "WOAH!" thats so good type of sandwich for me. More like "its ok". The bread was like a normal potato bun. The chicken piece was tasty and juicy, the only thing is that for me it was a bit too brown of a crust which means that it may have been slightly over fried. First of all, the lady who took our order was so friendly and explained how they prepared their chicken. I ordered the half rotisserie chicken and rice. This chicken was incredible! It was seasoned beautifully with Peruvian spices and cooked to perfection. The breast meat which is usually dried out by the time the dark meat is cooked was so juicy and tender!! The rice was cooked with fresh vegetables and delightfully seasoned. The sweet potato fries were subtly seasoned with chili powder and lime...a great combo. The sauces that went with the chicken just took it to a whole new level. For a great meal, whether you eat in or take out, this place is a gem at a very reasonable price! The food is good, but the aggravation isn't worth it. We placed a large order to feed 30 dinner guests. I went to pick it up, brought it home, and discovered they'd given us only half of what we ordered. I drove back to get the rest, while my wife called to alert them that I was on my way. When I got there, the other half of the order still wasn't ready. The person in charge spent a lot of time doing some sort of accounting on the cash register rather than getting my food. When he finally got around to it, the food was ice cold. (We'd been promised it would be hot.) So I brought back a bunch of ice cold food to thirty hungry dinner guests who had expected to be fed half an hour ago. Stopped in on hottest day of the year. No air conditioning. The cashier never greeted us and did t even look up from his phone until i greeted him. We ordered chicken sandwiches, two regular and one spicey. A quick trip to the bathroom took me past the filthy kitchen, and two kitchen workers standing and leaning on the counters.
