Specialties
As a coach, I believe that running is a highly individualized experience. We all have different strengths, weaknesses, needs and goals, and I enthusiastically tailor all of my services to provide a fun, safe and effective experience. I currently offer in-person coaching sessions for those in the New York City area, custom training plans for runners everywhere, and for runners who are interested in a more comprehensive coaching experience including day-to-day feedback and workout data analysis, unlimited contact and support, and race strategy development, I offer 1-on-1 coaching plans as well. Further details, including the fees for each service are listed on my website.
Since I'm also a big believer in community and love hosting group runs, I also host group workouts in Central Park on a bi-weekly basis, which are free and open for anyone to join. For more details, please visit the "group training" page of my website!
Meet the Business Owner: Evan W.
I'm an RRCA Level II certified running coach based in New York City who loves to help runners from all walks of life achieve their goals. When I discovered running by accident over 12 years ago, I never imagined that I would someday complete a marathon, much less coach others to do so. Now, 11 marathons later, I've come to realize that running is more than just a sport - it's an art form that we can all aspire to enjoy, whether we're qualifying for Boston or trying to conquer our first 5k with walk breaks. I have put hundreds of hours into studying the art of safe and effective training, treat all of my athletes with the reverence of a professional regardless of age, pace, or level of experience, and I make it my mission to make running fun, empowering and accessible to everyone. Some of my running highlights include a 2:49:23 Marathon PR, a 1:15:54 Half Marathon PR, several Age Group awards at New York Road Runners races, and the Foot Locker Five Borough Challenge title in 2016.
